Victorian walnut dresser has white w/gray marble top; the original beveled mirror is accented with the traditional Eastlake Victorian geometric designs of bulls eyes and carved swags& tassels. The drawer fronts feature raised burled panels and original hardware. Original rollers w/caps not attached. But available. Measures 48.5" x 20.5" x 80" high. It has a three-quarter inch repaired indentation in the back left side of the marble that does not detract from the function or appearance. Items sold are available for in-store pick-up. I am pleased to offer this spectacular Georgian Mirror Frame from my late Mother's Estate. This dates back to the Civil War Period. And perhaps somewhat older. We are under the impression that it is of English origin. This frame is hand-crafted from Rich Walnut in the Georgian Motif, with a huge hand- carved Crown Crest featuring a Palmette, or Anthemion device, flanked by ornate Foliage. The overall quality and condition is truly first rate, and the carved crest is simply Magnificent. You are bidding on the FRAME ONLY.NO mirror glass. Mom never got around to getting a proper bevelled mirror replacement. For the original which was cracked and turning splotchy when she bought it back in the 1960's in Missouri. Up for auction is a wonderful hand painted folk art Pennsylvania Dutch deep well walnut mirror recently found at auction in the Lancaster County PA area. It is found in good used condition and features prominent PA dutch painted tulips and hearts on the inner edge next to the mirror. It features what appears to be original paint with great crackle and alligator appearance. It does not have its original backing so the mirror may be younger than the frame but yet does show signs of age. The mirror measures approx. 8 x 10" with the overall frame outside dimension approx. 15.5" x 13 1/4" It currently is set to hang vertically but could easily be changed to hang on the horizontal. Antique Mirror Nice antique mirror. The beveled mirror has a little fading to the silvering but not bad. I did not notice any blisters or black spots. The frame is very solid and the carving is in great condition, The edges have some bad scratches from someone sliding it on a floor. Original back is not perfect but still good. Not hangers on the back, it had couple crappy screws and a piece of copper wire, I removed them so the buyer could install proper hangers. Dimensions: 27 1/4" wide x 25 1/4" tall x 2" thick including the back and the carving. Weighs 20lbs. Shipping weight will be apx 30lbs. Original Art Deco Vanity Dresser Mirror Frame circa 1920s Frame is of a walnut finish wood with carved finial and has an applied carved decoration. a Sunflower surrounded by fanciful tiny flowers and leaves accented in Dark Green. Deep Brown and Gold. There is an old brass screw fitting on each side for fitting to a dresser stand. I imagine. A lovely almost 100 years old Art Deco period piece. Condition: The frame is structurally sound… it has shallow scrapes. Scratches and old wall paint marks, signs of usage over the years. There is a small chip out of the finial decorative work( about 1” or ½“ each) and that applied section is a bit loose, could easily be repaired with wood glue. Lovely Unique Walnut & Ceramic Over Wood Guilt Gesso Frame Beveled Edge Mirror
This auction is for an older and very unique framed beveled edge mirror from England. The frame on this mirror is possibly the mosts unique and beautiful frame on a mirror I have ever seen. The inside portion of the frame. Next to the mirror is Dark Burled Walnut, the outside edge/border has many names. It looks like beautiful carved wood, but it's a ceramic type material over wood. Some people call it, a Gesso type, some a chalk frame type, some ceramic over wood, I call it Beautiful. This is a true wall mirror, it did not come off a dresser. This mirror looks to me like it has a piece id beveled etched glass over the actual mirror. It's quite a bit heavier than you would think for it's size. The auctioneer referred to it as a"Gypsy Mirror" It has etchings and mirrored dots on it. One thing for sure, it's one attention ... moregrabbing mirror. The clarity is good for it's age. It has some small dark spots on the silvering and it does have some scratches on the beveled glass over the mirror. This is an older mirror, more than likely 80 to 90 years old or older and for it's age& travels it's in good overall condition but it is not Perfect. It's still a wonderful older mirror that would make a Great entry mirror, bathroom mirror or hall mirror. No Added S&H charges will be added to the final selling price.
