Antique gold or gilt painted cast iron easel framed mirror. It measures 17 1/2" x 13 1/2" with a mirror that measures 7 3/4" x 9 3/4" The beveled mirror shows quite a few age spots and has some rough edges behind the framing. It's the original mirror I believe. The easel stand has a small little loop broken off the very end(photo 6) There are no broken areas on the frame itself. And made from very heavy solid brass. on the top is a large lion head which has very beautiful detail and in his mouth holds 3 dimensional scrollwork which leads down to the circle mirror. the mirror actually sits off of the wall and hangs from the lions mouth. Very exquisite obscure design. the mirror is in great shape. It was replaced at some point, and as well as the cardboard backing in the back, looks great. the piece has a wonderful patina from age. Antique Oval Small Mirror Frame Bronze Brass? Very Heavy, Ornate, Foundry Mark
This is a very old and very heavy frame. Probably made in the late Victorian era at the end of the 19th century, or the very early 20th century. It is marked on the back 217 and in another place it looks like NB+NY- not sure about this mark, the second part is hard read. Might be NV or even IW. I believe it is bronze or brass. I have seen this frame in a larger version many times in cast iron, and those are heavy, but this one is REALLY heavy. You may have seen frames like this that are usually a foot tall or more. This is a little guy. Only 9" tall and 8" across. The frame has been fitted with a mirror which is newer. There are 3 little tabs that more easily on the back. And you could replace the mirror with glass and use it as a picture frame if you wanted. I think this frame probably had an easel-back at one time so that you ... morecould use it on a table. That has not survived the last 125 years or so. This is suitable for hanging with 2 small screws that would hold each curved piece at the top. This is great for any place you want to add a little reflection, especially nice in a grouping of mirrors. Beautiful Antique 3" OG Cherry Wood Frame with Lead? Mirror Brass Center Hanger
For your consideration is a Beautiful Warm Cherry 3" Wood Frame with lead back mirror. I believe the mirror to be lead backed. Very heavy. The frame has a wonderful color with all the seams strongly together. The side edges have a thin dovetail pinning which can be seen in the photos. There is a Brass loop on the top for hanging, but the previous owner choose to put a wire on the back for more security. Perfect entry Mirror. The mirror does show some age to it with fine hazing. Up for sale is a vintage Venetian Glass Vanity or Dresser Tray with Hand blown glass twisted or spiral clear glass canes that surround the mirror and lovely ormolu brass details in the footed frame. It is 15" by 9 1/2" The condition is excellent with no chips or cracks. There are a few very small scratches from age and use. It does have one small section where the"silvering" on the back of the glass does show through(see last photo) and there is a white"spider web" appearance to the mirror or glass in sections. This auction is for a fantastic brass framed mirror with attachment for wall-hanging. Research puts this as Victorian and we are assuming the very heavy metal is brass. However we are not experts. The very ornate framing measures 13" from tip to tip and 9" across the width. This is oval shaped and has a thick wooden backing(which is peeling and needs gluing/replacing- see pics) with a hook for hanging on the wall. This weighs nearly 1000g.

This is a very nice antique make-up mirror. It is on a stand so it can be used on a dresser or vanity. It has a gold colored frame. It could be brass. But I'm not completely certain of the metal. It stands 13 1/2 inches tall. The mirror itself is round and is 8 inches in diameter. The mirror has two sides and can be flipped over to have either side at whatever angle is needed. This is a very sturdy item- it weighs almost 3 pounds. There are no markings on the bottom. So I'm not sure how old or where it was made. Dimensions: 10-1/2" wide 9-3/4" tall 1/2 to about 4 when easel is fully extended Condition: No chips or cracks to the metal I believe the frame was repainted before I got it. It has white paint with areas highlighted in brass or gold colored paint. The glass is possibility original.nearly 1/4" thick. It does have one mark on the silver which I photographed. This cast brass picture frame has been converted from an easel back photo frame and to a mirror made to hang on the wall. The frame measures 11" by 9" across the outer rim with a 5" by 4" wide opening for the mirror. Here for your consideration is a nice old Victorian Mirror. It can be hung or set on a table as it has an easel back. It measures 14x10" and the inner part is 8x 3 3/4" It is marked on the back Pat. July 1894. Mirror has some gray spots. Brass has a patina and left unpolished.

Antique Brass Frame Ornate Mirror On Stand With Cherubs & Nymphs
An unusual vintage. Mid-century mirror with beautiful detailed figural cherub on the center bottom, lovely shell at the top, and unusual nymphs or other cherubs on each side. Includes fine metalwork flowers and a deeply scalloped base. It is 5-1/2" wide at the adjustable finials and 7-1/2" tall. Excellent vintage condition as found with no cracks or chips, some patina consistent with age. Mirror has been lovingly kept in a smoke-free home and will be carefully packed and insured.

LARGE Antique Solid Brass Pierced Frame Beveled Mirror, 19th Century
Description: Stunning Antique Solid Brass Pierced Frame Beveled Mirror. This mirror is most likely of French origin but possibly Italian. It is not marked. It roughly dates to the latter half of the 19 th Century when items such as these were beginning to be made for the ever-expanding consumer market resulting from the industrial boom and wealth it created. The condition overall seems very good especially for a piece that is over 120 years old. There are some chips around the edge of the mirror. Some scratches and some dark areas. See photos) This appears to be the original mirror glass. It is missing some of the clips that hold the brass back in place. This is probably how the chips occurred. I just wedged some cardboard in-between to keep the mirror from moving. The new owner will need to find a solution. It has an easel back for free ... morestanding on a table. Or a loop to hang it on a wall. Overall size is approximately 19 inches tall and 14 inches wide. The mirror is 13 inches x 8 inches. Look at the detail work on the brass. A very fine antique. Circa 1880's, Aesthetic Movement square floral pierced brass wall frame with round mirror. Marked only: patent applied for(probably made by Bradley& Hubbard. See similar florals of B&H sconce pg. 34 in: Brass Menagerie. It measures 17-3/4" square, and hangs as a diamond, the mirror 10-1/4" diameter. Excellent condition: without dents or breaks, the surface has old polish residue, with mild patina. The mirror glass is undamaged, most minor very edge glass backing speckling.

Beveled Mirror Plateau Sculptured Brass Frame~ Circa1900~Fine Floral molding~
Here we offer for sale a beautiful Antique Mirrored Plateau. This piece is from 1900 or before we believe. It is a fancy framed mirror for displaying valuables& display items where you need a mirror underneath. Many times used on dresser& vanity tops. Also on Sideboards for large vases and bowls. Gives things a lift up off the surface and a mirrored reflection. The mirror appears to have a brass frame. But we cannot be sure. It has a worn"gilded" finish. The outside metal ring does have some give or bend to it ever so slightly. A magnet will not stick to the edge. But it does on the bottom. Many other metals will not bend and that is why from its weight and look that it may be brass. The mirrored plateau measures 13 1/4" at the footed bottom and 11 1/2" at the top mirror. The beveled edge of the mirror is about ... more1/2" There is some silver missing underneath on the mirror from wear. We mention for accuracy in listing as it does not detract from the mirrors beauty. The molded floral edge is very nice& very Art Nouveau looking.
