This piece is from England and is a very nice piece. The wooden frame is in good condtion with no breaks or repairs and just normal surface wear for a piece this age. The frame is good and tight and sturdy and there is a wooden back on the mirror as well. It is octagonal in shape. The mirror itself is beveled. The mirror is not perfect. It does have a fair amount of black speckling to it where the silvering is slightly damaged. So the mirror itself is definately not in mint condition but is in ok condition for it's age. If you are looking for a perfect mirror this one will not work. However. I do think this mirror is still very nice and you really can't notice the issued with ... morethe mirror unless you are looking at it from close up. I tried my best to photograph the surface of the mirror but that is difficult to do. The mirror measures 21 inches across from one side to it's adjacent side. Antique beveled glass mirror with solid 1"X7/8" oak frame. And solid oak three piece paneled back. Inside has a silver stamp British Silvered Glass PB with a 15. And a 2 stamped next to it. This mirror has been mounted, and re-mounted a few times, and the metal hanger I do not believe is original to the piece. However it does have what I believe to be the original small slot headed(common) brass screws holding the back panels on. The mirror itself is in amazing condition with only one small area that has spidering, and cannot really be seen unless you are close up. Tha frame is in great condition with only minor warping in one corner. The ends have dimples and hardware holes where an original bracket may have been so that it could swivel, or flip on its mounts in a horizontal, or vertical position on a dresser, or table. It measures 34 5/8" long in total laid flat; it is about 12 1/2” high with the feet. The individual frames are 11 1/4” square and fit 10” square. 3 wonderful original chrome ball feet when using as a stand-up table top mirror; center hook and chain if desire to hang it on wall- all original parts. The original backing board material is wood panel. Exceptional condition- check my photos. A magnificent antique oak household accessory piece guaranteed a genuine old vintage item. SCROLL DOWN FOR MORE PHOTOS Here is an antique oak-framed Beveled Edge Mirror from an old Secretary Desk Unit. If I had to guess an age. I would say between 1908 and 1924. As with all mirrors. The photos make it look worse than it is. It measures approximately 21" High and 21" Wide at the furthest points. The wood piece at the right side of the base is held on by two nails. The mirror is not crystal clear and has some age spots and dull sections. I took every possible angle and under different light to show you its flaws and good points.
