Antique Federal Eagle Wall Mirror Large Carved Wood Bullseye 31"
30 3/4" tall. 22 1/2" wide, eagle has a 12 1/4" wing span, exposed part of the mirror is 17 1/4" with it fitting in an 18 1/2" hole in the back. It probably originally had a convex bulls eye mirror in it. 13 balls around the perimeter representing the 13 colonies. Some minor age cracking but overall a very nice example with excellent quality carving to the wood. Probably some gesso around it too. Original Art Deco Vanity Dresser Mirror Frame circa 1920s Frame is of a walnut finish wood with carved finial and has an applied carved decoration. a Sunflower surrounded by fanciful tiny flowers and leaves accented in Dark Green. Deep Brown and Gold. There is an old brass screw fitting on each side for fitting to a dresser stand. I imagine. A lovely almost 100 years old Art Deco period piece. Condition: The frame is structurally sound… it has shallow scrapes. Scratches and old wall paint marks, signs of usage over the years. There is a small chip out of the finial decorative work( about 1” or ½“ each) and that applied section is a bit loose, could easily be repaired with wood glue. Welcome! For your consideration is a large vintage mirror. This mirror measures 31 x 25 inches. It is very heavy and is in good condition. There are a couple tiny chips on the frame and the outer edge has some worn spots from storage. But I think both of these issues could be be resolved with a bit of touch-up paint. The mirror itself has no cracks, chips, or breaks. Please look at the photos for better details. It is a bit heavy, about 15 pounds. This mirror is a bit dusty, but I wasn't sure what sort of cleaner to use for fear of messing something up, so I left it alone. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. This beautiful mirror is 43"x 31" with a 4" decorative hand carved frame painted gold. The mirror and frame are in excellent shape. I'm not sure how old the mirror is but it's been hanging in my families house since at least early 1950's. I can't see the original back since there is piece of wood nailed on the back of frame. It has a sturdy wire on back for hanging. The frame is very very ornate 4" frame made of wood. Hand carved and painted gold. It is rectangular and could be hung on wall with the 43" side at bottom and would be a beautiful focus piece in a large room or it could be hung with 31" at bottom for a smaller room. Here is a great mid-century beveled extra large 31.5 inch round mirror. I believe it is from the early or mid-50’s. It is in overall good shape no chips. Cracks or scratches in the glass. There are a few wear marks where part of the silver is wearing away around the bottom edge. It is not major but can be seen see photo. This is mounted to a piece of hardwood not a piece of cheap plywood. It is a quality wood mounting see photo it measures.75 inches thick.
