RARE find! Original 1880's Eastlake 3/4 Pier wall Mirror- FREE SHIP and insurance mid to late 19th century Victorian Eastlake( I don't know exact date) untouched. Finish is original measures approximately 47 x 25 x 3 1/2 inches and weighs 27 pounds The glass is what's referred to as a flat french mirror- not beveled glass is held in by the 45 degree cut small fluted wood framing in front and quarter sawn oak piece in back held by nails( most look original) the nails are not the square head form as a machine porocess had been invented by the 1880's that made round head nails The mirror itself measures about 30 x 18 inches The wood I believe is mahogany. A very nice early 19th century pier mirror in Mahogany with cross banding and unusual Birdseye Maple inset panel above the mirror plate. The mirror surround has two spindle turned side columns supporting a flat plinth with deep gadrooned cornice running below.The mirror frame is in very good condition with just one tiny veneer repair to very bottom left hand corner. Minor scuff mark to mirror. Overall a superb example of an early pier mirror with a beautiful deep patina. Size 65cm x 47.5cm approximately.

Just in from our recent French ... moreshipment! OUTSTANDING Black Forest and Gothic elements~~beautifully hand carved cherubs, grape clusters, acorns, acanthus leaf and bellflower accents. Three GOTHIC lion's masks with brass rings adorn the cartouche and dentil molded crown. Very hard to find in this extra large size! There is a silver loss spot on the beveled mirror midway down on the right side(when facing the mirror) and minor silvering on the lower left corner as shown in the photos. Otherwise, the mirror is in very nice condition with no chips, cracks or breaks. This piece is in exceptional condition for its age and extremely heavy, solid oak, sturdy and stable. Wonderful designer or decorator piece for large fireplace or between two tall windows. HIGHEST quality, hand-carved craftsmanship of the era that could have only been owned by royalty or the wealthiest families in the 19th century.
