Shabby Vintage Antique Tri-fold mirror primitive beauty with original brass
Here's a pretty little antique tri fold mirror I recently found at an estate sale. It is in very nice shape. It is 19.5 inches tall. The Center mirror is 15" wide and the two side mirrors are just over 7.5" a piece. Folded. It is 3/4 inch thick. Nice original brass hardware and screws. Mirror and glass is in great shape with no flaking or chips. Minor scratches in the paint of the frame. Excellent find. This looks like wood but I'm thinking it is metal. Antique French style tri-fold bevelled mirror with embossed leather sides
This is an original antique piece. Each panel is 7" by 5" and there are three panels. The glass is beveled. The outside of the panels appears to be embossed leather in a lovely floral design. There is one nail missing which can easily be replaced. Each panel has little brass ball feet for it to stand.I believe it is from the period of 1900 to about 1920. Antique Victorian Trifold Vanity Mirror. Victorian era around the late 1800s. This trifold mirror has three folding swing out panels held together with substantial hinges and it's made to either hang with a chain or stand on the six ball feet located at the base of the mirrors. The mirror has three beveled mirrors set in a metal frame. It also has a metal chain for hanging the mirror. The mirrors are beveled and each panel measures 10 1/4 inches wide and 10 1/4 inches tall. This is fairly heavy and weighs around 6 lbs. 2 oz. Center and left mirrors have some discoloration consistant for it's age.see last photo.

Antique victorian bamboo wood framed tri-fold shaving mirror. Open it measures 17" across. 12" tall, closed 11" The center mirror is flanked on either side by two beveled mirrors. On the brass closure is stamped Brevete SGDG LB Patented 1878. The mirror is all original except for the two pieces of wallpaper on the back of the two side mirrors. I have never tried to remove them. The center has a faded maroon leather back with a gold coat of arms. The bottom center panel edge has a sliver of wood missing. See picture. Fabulous Antique Tri-fold Vanity Shaving Travel Mirror *With Animals*
This was truly an incredible find! Despite its age. It has held up incredibly well over the last 100 years or so. The wood and mirrors still in good condition, and the tooled leather is not only impressive, it truly gives this heavy bulky mirror, a delicate touch. The black tooled leather front has various animals in brick red and gold. I have taken many photos to try and show this. There is a small amount of loss to the leather front but it isn't very noticeable. This item was used as a traveling vanity mirror that could also be hung for storage or used for shaving. When opened, the 3 square beveled original mirrors sit on 6 wood feet. For its size, this item is deceptively heavy! There is also a substantial original chain attached for hanging shown. This is a gorgeous antique mirror. All original. This gorgeous mirror dates to the early 1920's and originates from England! This antique mirror is just incredibly gorgeous and quite large! The mirror features 3 panels and is a tri-folding mirror. The center mirror is the largest and this piece tilts up and down. Both side mirrors open and close on the sides. All mirrored panels have an incredibly large and most gorgeous sprays of pink cabbage roses and florals in blues, creamy whites and mixed in among green leaves! All panels have a gorgeous pink ribbon along their borders. The barbola roses are not the typical gesso roses, instead, all of the florals are made of a hardened material and hand painted. Antique tri fold mirror Asian Geisha / shave pat # 1876
Antique tri fold mirror. The hinge has pat date of 1876 and also Breve ESDGE(im not certain about the name. But I think that's what it says. On the metal trim edge the date is 26 Sept 1876. Pat# 182633. I looked up the patton# and found the pat to be for the mirror itself. When closed the mirror measures 13" x 13" There are 3 10" x 10" mirrors that fold open and have a 22" span width. The mirrors are cased in a wooddn bamboo stlye frame. Original link chain is still intact for hanging. Mirrors are held in place with copper looking metal framing. The two outer mirrors have a thick paper type Asian design in black on gold. The interior mirror is in great shape with only a couple of cracks in the paper. The outer picture has more wear. It is a little dingy with a few spots. A few deeper cracks in the paper. There ... moreis also,in top left corner, a place that looks to have been repaired. See Picts) There is a black shiny paper backing that looks original and is in great overall condition. The hinge with pat information is intact. But the gadget it would hook to is missing. This does not keep it from shutting or functioning. One of the 3 mirrors is in great. Almost flawless conditon. The other 2 show the wear you expect from a mirror this age. However all three mirrors have good reflection. None of the mirrors are structurally damaged. They have no cracks or breaks. Overall condition is good for a mirror this age. Antique Art Nouveau Tri Fold Vanity Shaving Mirror with Portrait Paintings
This is a unique antique art nouveau trifold mirror. It stands on brass feet. Folds flat with a clasp but latch is missing from clasp. Middle mirror is a replacement; the side two mirrors are beveled. The middle one is not. The frames around the mirrors are beautifully carved and stained, and it looks to me like possibly a wood burning tool was used. The fold outs are faced with hand carved, painted portraits with gold and also the wood tones complementing traditional art nouveau style detailing. Overall good condition. The paintings are missing some molding, but they stay in place. Two corners of one portrait were glued at some point and that glue is visible-see the close up photos. Each panel measures 12 7/8 inches by 10 7/8. The overall measurement of the whole triptych open is 33 1/8 by 13 1/2 inches. Purchased from Les Puces-a flea market ... morein Paris. Probably dating from 1880 to the turn of the century. This is the kind of piece a woman might have carried in her trunk. My great grandmother had something similar; she was Czech and used to pack it with her things when she went to Paris to buy dresses. These photos don't really do it justice-it's very nice. This is an old antique Victorian era celluloid over a chromolithograph print vanity dresser mirror from estate. This is selling AS IS due to its old age. See glass which can be replaced possibly. W hen open is 13" long x 7" High with feet. Closed measures 7x4.25. The front celluloid features a yellow rose and a bud. There is a 3/4" maroon stain in back celluloid which is overall off white.The celluloid is vibrant and in wonderful condition otherwise. The celluloid is in beautiful condition with vibrant colors. Antique 1800's Tri-fold Weiderer Beveled Glass Shaving Vanity Mirror
Wonderful old mirror from a local estate sale. It has the original beveled glass mirrors. The panels measure about 11 3/8" x 9 3/8" The back panels have a floral motif and look to be made of a pressed material. Perhaps gutta percha. Looks like there were two small turned feet removed from the middle panel. The hanging chain and eye screws have been removed. The embossed panels have a green tint to them that is more pronounced in my photos than in real life. There is a small worn spot to the center mirror as shown. Beautiful mirror. Thanks for looking.

This auction is for an antique tri fold shaving mirror I purchase back in 2003. I recently did a decor change and this no longer fits. I was going to bring this to a local pawn broker but thought I would try eBay first. On the clasp hinge there is a date of 1876 and also some type of hallmark with the letters ESDGE. There is also at date on the brass mirror frame; Sept. 6 1876, Pat# 182633. In the closed position the overall measures 13" x 13" There are three 11.5" x 11.5" mirrors. Two of which fold open roughly 120 degrees to the back mirror creating a 180 degree panoramic view of the user. When the flank mirrors are in the open position,the shaving/vanity mirror has an overall width of 27" measured horizontally. The mirrors are framed with brass and some type of bamboo species of wood. The center mirror is in great shape but appears to have been replaced at some point by previous owner. The outer art work pictures have some minor condition issues and certainly show their age and some wear. No major water/moisture damage or cracks in the paper but as you can see in photos the piece exhibits signs of age. Use and wear. Keep in mind how old this piece is. There is a chain with a center queen link for balanced hanging. This is the chain that was attached to it when I purchased and it appears to be original. I believe it's steel with paint or plating. Overall condition is fair for a mirror of this age. It was used. Not stowed away untouched so I'm sure there are better examples of this piece. The frame is missing two of the small caps/finals.my fault as they were present last time I noticed. But they are in fact missing and not included. These were production pieces and many were made but now a rare piece due to many of it's counterparts not withstanding the test of time. I see more of the French style vs this Oriental style. This tri-fold mirror is in good shape. The mirrors appear to be a painted backing of some sort. We did not attempt to remove them. It does have tiny yellow age spots throughout all the mirrors. Some small dings and a few scuffs on the frame edging. It has a 2 welding spots where it has been repaired at some point. It does need cleaned. The poles are etched with a barber style or candycane effect. You are getting it as it was purchased from and antique estate auction. Its style is a classic and will fit with any decor. Very Nice Travel Tri Fold Mirror This Shaving Mirror is so nice. A few minor spots on the back of the mirrors. As is shown in the photos. This is complete. Nothing is missing and the hinges and brass pegs are all in tact. Very sound condition. You will love either hanging this or displaying this on a counter top. Wood has a rich cherry color. Antique Arts 1800's Tri Fold Vanity Makeup Mirror Shaving Vintage Victorian Nice
Here is a beautiful antique tri-fold mirror with heavy beveled glass. French style Ormolu decorations of raised applied corners. Beaded and rope design on front and back of frame. The hinges are excellent and it closes with no problems, the glass is very nice for its age with just a little light spotting, the metal gold tone frame has discolorations from age, there are two small dents in the frame, one on the right panel top, the other on the bottom of the middle panel, very small but I think you can see it in one of the photos. There is one Ormolu corner missing. The chain is discolored and one of the mirror brackets to hold the chain is slightly bent. I'm not positive but i think the backs of the panels are leather, two are textured and one is smoother, maybe just the two outside ones are leather and the middle not, I just don't ... moreknow for sure. Tri-Fold 19th C Antique French Mirror Travel Vanity Beveled Celluloid Angels
This is a lovely piece. And very rare, not just for its age or quality. You may not have noticed at first, but the center mirror is twice as wide as the side mirrors. This is an unusual feature in a tri-fold antique mirror, and allows both decorative backs to show at once when it is closed. Usually all 3 mirrors are the same width and one door folds on top of the other instead of folding flat like this one. SIZE ~ Each mirror is 8" high with the side mirrors 6" across and the center mirror 12" across. The entire piece stands 11" tall to the top of the finial. CONDITION ~ The decorative part is made of celluloid. An early precursor of plastic. It is impressed with sweet angels or cherubs, surrounded by blossoms. It is ivory in color and in fact may have been meant to mimic the look of ivory. Sadly one cherub has a little ... morechip in his head that shows as a dark spot. When you use the mirror, the doors do not show, so it's not a huge deal and is priced accordingly. The spot could be filled with a little molded clay and painted(if you wanted to try to make it less noticeable. NO breaks or chips in any of the three mirrors, nothing missing, could use a good cleaning. I believe the metal is brass. There is a chain for hanging. Or this mirror can stand on four delicate feet. Early Antique Victorian Ladies & Suitor Tri Fold Traveling Mirror
This is a lovely Victorian trifold traveling mirror. It is in good condition considering it's age. All the bevelled mirrors are in excellent condition. There is some paint loss/wear on the left most outer photo that can be seen in the picture provided. The right most picture shows crackling. There is a slight bend at the top of one of the hinges. This came out of a 1920s bungalow in the Los Angeles/Hollywood area. The glass is very thick and heavy.it has a great bevel to it(see photo)it is backed by a piece of thick wood and has little round brass rosettes that secure the mirror to the wood. This beauty was actually on the wall of the bathroom. However, it is a 3 piece mirror and would look wonderful on a vanity or dresser. Measurements. It is lovely. The mirrors are beveled and surrounded by very nice brass trim. The brass is ribbed and has wonderful end caps with a intricate design. There is a beading detail along the edges. Very nicely done. The back sides of the mirrors are covered with a pressed leatherette board. The side boards have a pebbled finish and the back side is plain. The back side is what receives the most wear from use and you can see that in the photos. When folded the mirror measures about 10 3/8 inches top to bottom and about 7 7/8 inches across. This mirror is such a great find. Although I guess the age to be 100+ years old, it is still in great condition. It has three panels of beveled glass with the exception of some ghosting and minor silver loss each panel is in good condition. The wood has held up exceptionally well with very minor ware and chipping. The tooled leather backing has some damage as shown in the photos but also impressive for its age. It has three ball feet and original hanging chain. The dimensions are 8" x 6" and when fully extended it measures 19-1/2" I try to point out all flaws if any. This is a heavy piece- it has wood backing- almost 14 pounds before shipping. The mirror is in very nice condition, just some minor silver loss around the edges. I didn't see any chips or cracks in the mirrors. The back panels have some minor surface cracks in the wood but it's still quite(very! sturdy. The right mirror's lower panel is just slightly loose in the bottom right corner but can be tightened, I'm sure! You won't be disappointed in this vintage beauty! Antique Vintage French Bronze Tri Fold Shaving/Vanity Mirror With Dragon Feet
You are bidding on this unique antique french bronze triple fold mirror with dragon feet. Length when all mirrors are unfolded is approximately 30" When the mirrors are folded it is approximately 10" wide. It stands approximately 15.5" tall. The dragon feet measure approximately 5.5" front to back. It is marked J.V. Bte SDGD which is french for"Patent Pending" The screws that hold the frame in place do not appear to be the original and it is missing the cross bar for the handle.
