This very lovely vintage mirror was being used as a frame. So the mirror has need of reflective paint. Pictures were taped to the mirror with old glass over top to protect pictures. Antique Black And Gold Gesso Wood Mirror with Gilded Top All Original - Nice
I have for sale a wood gesso black/gold mirror with gilded top It has an hexagon top- square bottom The mirror has some very faint black dots that is normal with aging. The back still has the brown parchment paper although there is a rip in the paper. it is a beautiful old mirror and is in great shape for its age. There are two tiny little marks on the bottom of the frame where the black gesso has worn off(see picture- hardly noticeable at all) It is 22 1/2 inches long an 11 1/2 inches wide. Antique Carved Gold Gilded Gesso Beveled Mirror
A charming and beautiful open work hand carved gold gilded gesso beveled mirror. The swirling ancanthus leaf motif with curved fleur de lis in each corner lend romantic French touches. The gilding has crackling and in one corner there is a crack and the plaster is exposed. One corner has a piece of plaster missing and you can see this in the first photo. 614 A French 24kt gold leaf wooden gesso frame mirror. It was gilded ussing the old hand applied leaf with the water technique utilized in Venitian pieces. Hand applied applications on the corners of garlands and central ones of a shield with a rose upholded by two flanking winged grifings. This piece is in good shape considering age only normal signs of wear with minial rub off to the gilding. Vintage Gold Gilded Wooden Wall Mirror With Gesso
Vintage gold gilded with ornate gesso wall mirror with purple felt backing. There are 3 chips on the edging(see pictures) The size measures 17 1/2" by 14 1/2" There is a secured wire to hang from. The mirror itself does not show and black spots of aging but I do see one scratch about 1" long on the edge and not a deep one. Due to the age of this item I don't see these faults taking away from this vintage piece!
