Vintage Silver Plate Plateau Mirror Stand This stand has a mirrored base. The mirror is underneath glass and the rest is metal. The feet are nicely designed and it is very sturdy. It can be used for anything where a stand is needed(pies. Cakes, collectibles, statuary, or even a houseplant) The metal rim has a makers mark that reads F.S. CO Quadruple with an Eagle Head logo. The black backing on the underside is flaking off with age. Either the glass cover is streaked or the mirror underneath is. Original Art Deco Vanity Dresser Mirror Frame circa 1920s Frame is of a walnut finish wood with carved finial and has an applied carved decoration. a Sunflower surrounded by fanciful tiny flowers and leaves accented in Dark Green. Deep Brown and Gold. There is an old brass screw fitting on each side for fitting to a dresser stand. I imagine. A lovely almost 100 years old Art Deco period piece. Condition: The frame is structurally sound… it has shallow scrapes. Scratches and old wall paint marks, signs of usage over the years. There is a small chip out of the finial decorative work( about 1” or ½“ each) and that applied section is a bit loose, could easily be repaired with wood glue. There is an old string used for hanging which should be replaced by a hanger wire. Please check pictures to see the flaws. NOTE: Frame only. No mirror. A ... morelarge frame. Unique Diagonal Vintage Dark Oak Hall Tree: Mirror & Coat/Hat Hooks -1900-1940's
This item is a wonderful Vintage(Antique) Mirror and Coat-hat Hanger combination. It is made from quartersawn oak. The frame is in excellent condition structurally. It has two double hooks on opposite sides. The mirror is intended to hang in a triangular fashion. There are two hanging wires on the back. One is a small wire hook located at the top. The other is a heavier gauge wire located on opposite sides to again hang in a triangular fashion. Please see pics. The back of the wood frame has multiple holes in the corners, my guess is they are from different times it has been hung. The front of the piece is in excellent condition, the wood has been stained, but it is done well. The two hooks are beautifully detailed and well preserved. There is no rust or disintegration of the metal. The mirror is showing its age. The corners/edges have some ... moredamage to the silver. Additionally there are brushstrokes that can be seen in the mirror from when the silver was originally applied. The mirror is beveled about 1 inch from its edge. The mirror is a bit loose inside the frame. When moved the mirror shifts within the frame about a half an inch. Once it is hung this is not an issue. However, this would be easy to stabilize by using a small wedge inserted in the side of the mirror. I am referring to this mirror as a vintage piece, it may well be much older but I do not claim to know the age. The mirror frame measures 20 inches square at its widest point. The hooks are about 4 inches in length and are out from the frame a little less than 3 inches. This beautiful Mirror- Hanger combo weighs approximately 6 lbs. 8 oz. This Quartersawn Oak Mirror would make a wonderful addition to your home. I have more pictures available if you would like me to send them to you. Offered is a"Apollo" studio vanity dresser set. Apollo studio was a company that made items for the elite in New York. I believe this mirror was made in the 1890s- 1920s. This item is guided brass filigree medallions on the center of the top of the mirror. The mirror is original and has some minoring spotting. And is missing the handle. but is otherwise functional. It has a signed image of a Gibson Girl in the center. She is quite fancy and wealthy looking lie the people who would have purchased this item back in the day.
