Description: Up for Sale is a beautiful Federal style Colonial Eagle convex“bullseye” or girandole mirror with 13 cannonballs surrounding the mirror for the 13 original American Colonies. The frame is made of wood and sculptured gesso with a gold finish. From the construction I would guess it is from the late 1800s to the early 1900s. It measures approximately 36" tall x 22 1/2" across with the mirror being approximately 18" across This item is pre-owned with normal wear you would expect on a piece of this age. It looks like a portion of the laurel wreath/vine on one side of the eagle has been repaired and the same goes for one part of the flourish below the mirror. The gesso is otherwise free of breaks or chipping but it looks like the paint has been retouch over the years in a few spots. The mirror is free of breaks. Cracks, ... morechips or silver flaking. The mirror itself looks to be in great shape as you can see in my pictures. Please look at all my pictures to judge color and condition for yourself. This is a lovely vintage/antique Federal style bullseye convex matte gold gilt hanging mirror. About 50-60 years old. It is impressive in size and design, measuring 31" high x 22-1/4" wide. The mirror itself is 17-1/4" in diameter. It is carved wood and gesso. There are some age cracks in the carving; no breaks or chips. The mirror is in nice condition with minor oxidation. VINTAGE WOOD FEDERAL GOLD BULLSEYE AMERICANA CONVEX MIRROR W/ JESSO EAGLE
This is a vintage Gold Leaf Federal Convex Mirror with Eagle on top! The mirror is in very good condition. No cracks in the Eagle or the foot of the mirror. There is a small area of paint loss along the bottom edge of the frame. The mirror is excellent. Paper backing is torn. But can be easily replaced. The frame measures 30 inches tall, 22 1/4 inches wide. The wing span of the Eagle is 13 inches. Antique Federal Eagle Wall Mirror Large Carved Wood Bullseye 31" Convex
This is a nice antique bullseye convex mirror. It measures 31" in overall height and the mirror is 17" in diameter. There is wear to the paint along the end of the balls and some chipping on the top of the eagle with some cracks on the front. The mirror has some scratches and a few dark spots on the edge.
