There are two barley twist rope columns/pillars ~ one on each side. It has amazing quality& attractive character& is probably one of THE NICEST single door armoires that we have ever owned. It has been professionally restored with a natural oil finish by its previous owner& measures approx. 44-1/2" wide by 102" high(8 1/2 feet) by 25" deep on the bottom base. then it steps back to 21" deep on the upper portion. This particular wardrobe is also the desired"knock-down" style that could be easliy hauled without renting a truck.the individual pieces could be blanket wrapped as this armoire is dismantled& would fit into an SUV or suburban.even a car if it was an older model with a large trunk! Mirrors with bevelled edges and ornately ... morecarved wooden panels give this piece an amazing decorative look. A gracefully curved top is capped by an intricately carved finial. Skirted fronts and short cabriole legs lift it off the ground and keep the armoire from feeling heavy despite its size. This piece can be dismantled for moving. Overall. The armoire is in good condition. The two side mirrors have some noticable silver loss. Example pictured. There are also some small dents and dings to the wood. One escutcheon is probably not original to the piece and the other two are missing. The entire piece stands about 103" 8'9" tall. It is about 84" 7' wide and 22 inches deep.
