19th Century, French, Gothic Revival Made In Paris Rare Hand Carved Armoire
This armoire is made by hand in the 1800's and is of the Gothic Revival Age As you can see this is a very very rare piece of functional art. All the Other Armoires are a dime a dozen compared to this one. This Armoire is very special. It's actually two pieces a top and bottom when combined they at well over 10ft tall and is very heavy. The armoire has been oiled and that's it. I'm not positive of the wood but it's extremely hard heavy and has bright red green. Orange, yellow and orange tones. I've looked and looked for anything like this and can't find anything like it. The last owner paid over 15,000.00 20 years ago. It has an elaborately carved floral and scroll crown and sides. Below the doors is a carved drawer as shown in the photos. It stands on carved cabriole legs and scrolled feet.
