Mirrors with bevelled edges and ornately ... morecarved wooden panels give this piece an amazing decorative look. A gracefully curved top is capped by an intricately carved finial. Skirted fronts and short cabriole legs lift it off the ground and keep the armoire from feeling heavy despite its size. This piece can be dismantled for moving. Overall. The armoire is in good condition. The two side mirrors have some noticable silver loss. Example pictured. There are also some small dents and dings to the wood. One escutcheon is probably not original to the piece and the other two are missing. The entire piece stands about 103" 8'9" tall. It is about 84" 7' wide and 22 inches deep. A metallic gold seal inside the top drawer reads ... moreHooker Bassett Seal of Quality. Stenciled on the back is XO 30 ROBE. It is 36" wide x 60" tall x 20" deep. With inside closet measurements of 20" deep x 16-1/2" wide x 56" high. The drawers are dovetailed and four drawers are 15-1/4" x 14-3/4" x 8" deep. The fifth(top) drawer measures the same accept it is 6" deep. The mirrored top adds 6" to that side height measurement. Overall, the original casters add 2" to the height. They also make it easy to move. The knobs and pulls are of a white metal with marbleized pink thermoplastic decoration-celluloid or Catalin. Etc. It is a quality wardrobe in very good solid condition. There are very small pieces of veneer missing mostly on the bottom. There is a tiny piece missing on the top edge of the third drawer down and a crease in the front of the second drawer from the top. The mirror has some small issues. This piece was purchased by my mother as a place to keep her many crochet projects and to store her completed afghans. It served her well over the years. All her things are being sold off. Dimensions are roughly 42 wide by 27 deep by 78 tall. This unit has served us well as both an entertainment center for flat screen TV(and components) as well as a nice addition as an Armoire for storage space for clothes and anything else you need. Plenty of internal space. The interior is divided up into two spaces as you can see by the two sets of doors. The upper section is where you can put a TV or put in a rod and hang or stack clothes. The lower section has a nice large and deep shelf. sweaters, clothes, books, media, whatever) and below that is large sliding drawer that can hold similar things with adjustable partitions. And hardwood(pine secondary wood) miniature wardrobe with ebonized wood panels dates ca. 1860-1880 and measures only ... more23 ½” tall x 17” wide x 7 5/8” deep. It features a faded and worn original French Polish surface with some irregular coloration but a nice sheen. All of the wood with the exception of the inside shelves(added early 1900s) appears to be original and there is only the scantest trace of old(inactive) insect damage to the bottom. The tiny, turned bun feet are sturdy and without damage and the locks and latches are right as rain. You will note a very small corner loss in the veneer on the top back corner as per the pictures.
