Vintage Antique Victorian Baby Doll-Teddy Bear High Chair Furniture
This high chair is appears to be made of Oak and is in excellent condition with a beautiful finish. We have it for many years and we were told it was made in the 1800's. There are no metal screws used anywhere and there are no cracks or damage to the chair. It was used in a doll collection and is perfect for a doll or teddy bear collection. I have not found a high chair like this anywhere and what I have found is not as nice or has the intricate wood work. The chair is 33" tall. A wonderful Victorian Doll House Chair with a Roman Chariot driver with Horse on the back- rest of the chair. This chair is silvered pot metal that is in wonderful condition. It stands firmly on all 4 legs and has no damage. The chair is very detailed and has no markings on the bottom. It looks similar to the German doll house furniture pieces. But is mush stronger metal, probably why it has survived all this time. The paint seems to be all intact and original, the only discoloring is to the underside of the seat. They are quite ornate but are somewhat damaged and will require some skill to repair them. The total length including the castors is 18-1/4" 16-3/4" without. The upholstery is not in the best of shape as the pictures will show. I absolutely fell in love with the legs on this piece. I have never seen another piece like it. It is 19 inches long and 13 inches wide. The stool is about 14 inches high overall and the brass legs are each 10 inches high. The stool is very sturdy and well built. The inside cushioning is also very firm and plump. The upholstery needs to be redone in my opinion. Once that is accomplished. You will have a truly remarkable beautiful piece of antique furniture. Antique / Vintage Victorian Doll House China Head Bathroom Furniture Framed
Up for auction is a darling antique/vintage doll house bath area with china head dolls included. It is framed with glass on the top to look down and the front views. The outside is painted plain white boards- might look cute to add some design stamping. But I'm leaving it alone. It measures 15 3/4" wide with frame around it(the frame is just slightly larger than the actual room deminsion) the room is 15" wide behind the frame; it's 12 1/2" tall and 7 1/2" deep. It's a very nice size that is not too large for a nice shelf display. The china head doll is about 6" tall and the little girl on the chair is about 3" tall. They are both glued in place. You can't tell much about the little girl, but the china head looks like someone has made her body out of wood or something. I've taken a photo of ... morewhat I could. She has some little paint dots on her face. I didn't try to remove them. the little girl looks more unglazed bisque or chalk( Her arms are the same and the legs look like cotton covered wires. There are so many details around the room including a little mouse in the corner. The little tiny calendar is dated February 1878. There are 2 screws to hold the front frame in place. I have removed them to see if this could be shipped safely and I believe it can. I'll have to remove the front and fill with bubble for transportation. All the pieces feel very securely attached. I don't know how old this piece is, but it appears very old. Of course shipping will be quite high due to wood room and glass framed top/front. Antique Victorian Eastlake Walnut Furniture Pediment Crest
This auction is for a beautiful antique eastlake Victorian walnut pediment crest. This crest is large measuring about 47 1/2" long and about 20 1/2" tall and weights just over 10 pounds. Front is very nice as can be seen in photos. Minor damage on back where pegs broke out but does not show on front. Crest displays very nice and would look wonderful above door. Victorian Coffin, Real Antique, Rare Macabre Halloween Gothic furniture
Lovely Victorian Coffin. We have had it in an attic since 1967. All of the kids remember the scary fun of going up to the attic to see"the coffin! Please study all pictures for description as I am not an expert on this. I do not know what kind of dark wood it is. I have not tried to refinish or do anything to it. Some of the hardware is off but in a bag that will be included. See the pictures of some of the hardware pieces. I believe all hardware is there but cannot say for sure. Some nicks on the hardware. The lining looks original and notice in one picture, we gently pulled the lining back and it looks like original straw padding. There is a light colored stain on the bottom part of the lining. Last picture is when we used it for a Halloween Party. There is the bottom of the coffin, then the wooden top. Then there is the original wooden ... moreviewing frame that had glass in it but it is cleanly broken in half and you can have the glass made for it and put it back together. Then it has the wooden piece that covers viewing area. Examine pictures carefully. This is really detailed and beautiful. It would make a great coffee table conversation piece! Antique Furniture Victorian Empire Walnut Civil War Sofas Couch 1800s
This sofa/ couch was made in the Civil War era. 1820-1860) It is 82" long and 39" high to the center at the back. This sofa is ornate with hand carved walnut wood about 2" thick in dark brown color of the grape and leaf patterns. The cushion is about 4" at highest point. 58" long without arm, and 20" deep. It is an original tanned upholstery with the small mauve flower pattern. It is decorated with some fabric buttons on the cushion. The cushion is very firm. There are 3 light water stains on the cushion sitting area as shown in the pictures. There is a small worn area on the fabric of the left arm. No major damage on the cushion. The cushion is 5" high from the floor. It has the brass rivets stitched along the cushion all the way around the front. The arm is 24 1/2" high from the floor. Each arm of ... morethe sofa has embossed hand crafted grape leaf design. There is a wooden surface damage on the top right arm. The stitching at the back along the left arm has come detached about 2" The legs are very stunning with the hand carvings on wood about 2 3/4" thick. The end of the legs have brass wheels about 1" diameter. There is a tear at the back on right foot area of the upholstery about 2" But it is not noticeable. The back felt cover is purple/ blue. It is faded. There are rusty nails holding back cover. That is partially torn off. The bottom of the couch covered with the fabric. It is old, has no tears. All the tears mentioned can be fixed. The portrait is not signed but could possibly be by the artist(Charles Dana Gibson) I just can not say for sure. The back is marked: COMPLIMENTS OF ATHERTON FURNITURE COMPANY. There is no maker mark. Here is a bit of history on Atherton Furniture- LeBaron Atherton came to the U.S. from Canada in 1897. He bought the failing B. A. Atkinson& Co. furniture store in Lewiston Maine after making it successful. Other stores were opened later in Waterville. Bangor, and Portland as well as Brockton, Worcester, Springfield, Pittsfield, and Haverill, Massachusetts. This plate measures approx 7 1/2" across. It has a scalloped embossed border in Art Nouveau style. Color is a deep blue/green teal with gold trim on edge. Condition: It is without chips. Cracks, nicks or dings. There is crazing within the glaze- this is most noticeable on the back of the plate, but also visible on front when one looks closely. Front also has tiny particles within the glaze- plus a couple tiny flecks into the glaze- imperfections from when plate was made. It remains a beautiful plate exhibiting only minor wear when one considers it age! A very nice plate for those who enjoy Victorian fashion and decorative arts.
