SC estate sale find and is in very nice condition commensurate with it's age, detailed above with clear pictures to accurately represent this lovely piece. The piece does have some old inactive worm wood holes about the bottom upon close examination, this this only adds further to the character of this terrific antique armoire. This wardrobe stands 76 inches tall and measures 53 inches wide and 24 inches deep. Front to back. The interior closet space measures 48 inches wide and 18 1/2 inches deep, front to back with 52 inches clearance below the hanging bar and the shelf above at a height of 55 inches above the base of the closet. The two drawers are dovetailed and measure 19 1/4 inches wide by 19 inches front to back by 6 inches deep. This beautiful large pine armoire makes quite a statement while offering ample storage within. It is constructed of 14 to 20 inch wide pine boards unheard of in todays world, with wooden dowels and square cut nails. The old dark red paint appears to be original.This is a large and heavy piece. Dimensions are 7’ high, 5’ wide, 2’ deep. It is currently being stored in dry secure warehouse here in Arabi, GA.I recommend that it be picked up locally as crating and trucking cost would certainly be high. The drawer fronts are natural and the case has an old crazed dark ... morebrown finish. The three lower drawers have false keyholes with inlay. All of the hardware is original to the piece (iron hinges and porcelain drawer pulls). It is one piece and stands 80” tall, 54 & 1/2” wide and 22” deep. It is of square nailed construction. We've owned and used it for 30 years and I can attest that it holds a lot. I haven't done a thing to it since I've owned it other than used it for its intended purpose. The upper door panels are split and the back legs are thin but other than that it shows only typical wear from use. It appears to be completely original and will give many, many more years of service. Pick up only.
