10 Arm Brass Chandelier Vintage/Antique
Up for Auction Vintage/Antique 10 arm brass chandelier. It is missing one of the electrical covers. Some drywall/texture on item, arms are a little loose, there are holes for the crystals and an electrical sticker, the center decorative crystal holders has one loose one, some wear and tear due to age. I am not sure how old it is but the wiring is definitily old style. I have only given it a gently cleaning, I leave the rest up to the experts. Note the beautiful work on the chain. These will need to be rewired as I wouldn't want to trust the wiring that is in them. These have a nice patina on them. One of them has some paint around the base of it and some up on the arm also, which I am sure would come off with some scrubbing. These will need a good cleaning, all I did was knock the top layer of dust off. There is some very, very light corrosion in a few spots but this isn't bad at all. Vintage ANTIQUE Moorish TURKISH HANGING BRASS Light/LAMP Jeweled Fixture RARE
Extremely rare. 1900's- 1950's antique hanging brass lamp from the Turkey/Morroco area that has a Moorish/ Muslim/ Islamic influence from the research I have done. This is being sold for the ORIGINAL OWNER who shipped this back from Turkey during his military deployment in Instanbul in the early 1950's and has kept it in beautiful condition ever since. It is from a super clean, non smoking household. This is an extremely RARE piece, especially in this condition. Both lights work(there are 2 bulbs total inside the lamp) and the wire is in pristine condition. This lamp is extremely colorful with blue, green, purple and orange jewels with heart cut out patterns in the metal and transmits a fabulous lighting effect when it's on. One of the large jewels is not completely flush with the metal, but none of the jewels are missing ... moreand they all appear to be original. A couple of the smaller jewels are not perfect and have small sratches, the brass is tarnished a bit and there are a few flaws in the brass that you can't see in the pics, but overall it's just spectacular. It is wired and has the original chain attached to hang it, so all you have to do is plug it in. Vintage Antique Large 3 Tier 8 Arm Spanish Crystal & Brass Chandelier 80 Prisms
This auction if for a very beautiful. Ornate and well made vintage made in Spain brass and crystal chandelier. The chandelier is a three tier one. With crystal prisms hanging from all three layers and it has eight arms with eight lights(candles) The metal work is all solid brass and it is therefore very heavy. Without the prisms on. It weighs 20 pounds. The ornate brass canopy and chain are original to the chandelier and are matching all other scrolled work on the metal. The entire brass metal work on the chandelier is very intricately detailed. And the bottom is completed with a very ornate cap and finial which are again matching all the other scroll work on the fixture. The chandelier. As can be seen in our pictures is in perfect working condition and ready to hang. It was too large for the room displayed in, and has to be replaced with ... morea smaller one. The measurements without any crystals on are: 24" in diameter X 26" high. The original and existing chain is 18" The chandelier comes with 80 prisms all together and one round crystal ball for the bottom. These are: 12 large tear drops 2 1/2" long 40 medium tear drops 2" long 8 small tear drops 1 1/2" long 8 large beveled flat(shell shaped) 3 1/2" long 12 long ones 7" long. This fixture was installed in the library of a huge“1898” Queen Anne style summer home located in Harbor Springs. Michigan. Most of this home still relied on the original“knob and tube” wiring for its electrical power. The first floor ceilings of this home were 11' high. A few of the ceiling fixtures were controlled by pull chain switches due to the lack of wall switches. This fixture was originally equipped with a pull chain switch. Photo#10 shows the hole where the switch was installed. This ornate fixture has great detailing and is in very good condition. It has an overall height of 36-3/4” from top of canopy to the bottom tip of the finial) The widest point of the ... morefixture is approximately 22” measuring to the edges of shades. This fixture was just re-wired and new socket insulators were installed. It has been gently cleaned so as not to disturb the aged patina. All three of the original solid brass“Fat Boy” sockets have mica centers and are in very good condition. They are marked"Edison Patents 250V 50 C.P" The paddle key switches are marked“Bryant” The 2-1/4" shade fitters are marked"PAT. Besides the wiring being cut. Missing a few crystal prisms, and one white candle sleeve, this chandelier is in very good clean condition concerning all pieces. It is a antique brass with 5 arm lights& 5 curled arms on top for crystal prisms. There is the ceiling cap& also the bottom for the chandelier. The color/finish is consistent throughout& there is no damage to any of the parts. There are 7 3" crystal prisms. It looks like the top 5 arms would each hold 2 prisms. The light arms look to hold 2 prisms. 14" chain from the top. Matching the finish of the chandelier. The pictures show that some of the upper 5 arms are a little loose& can be tightened. Antique Hardwood Repurposed Loom Shuttle Candle Sconces. Vintage. Brass fittings
This was a really cool find out of Brimfield. Massachusetts. It is a pair of antique loom shuttles that have been repurposed as sconces. The sconces are a hard wood with a brass fittings. The quill has been stabilized, and a piece of scrolled wood with a candle holder has been attached to it. It hangs nicely on the wall, with only a nail in the wall necessary to hang it. The loom shuttle has a maker's mark on it. But I do not recognize it. It appears to be a small"H" with a large"S" looking very much like the American dollar sign. The sconces are 19.5" long and 2.25" wide. The candle holder portion sticks out 5" from the wall.
