Same pattern but the canopies on this pair are slightly different in size. The pair on the right is for Martha. They have smaller E-25 shades. The shades on this pair as pictured are XE-40 which match the double sconces. If you prefer the smaller E-25 Holophanes on your pair then I will ship that model instead. They are all brass from around 1912 plus. Please see the other listings if you need more sconces or pendants to match these. The shades for these are period Holophanes. Some of the shades for these sconces have rib fleabites no worse than the ones by my fingers in the pictures. These wall lamps have been washed. This is a fabulous Antique Pair of French Solid Brass Candle Sconces that stand 22" tall with an oval mirror that is 6.5" x 8.5" tall. The arms are twisted and measure 3.5" deep x 4" long. The candle cup is 2" x 2.5" with holes should you choose to put crystals on them( these do not come with the crystals) The top Urn& flame design is 7" from the mirror and the bottom 7" from the bottom of the mirror. The shades are marked Holophanes. XE-40 some are also marked patented 1912. This Uno shadeholder style was used 1912 and into the 20's. Some of the Holophanes have flea bites on the ribs no worse than the ones pictured by my fingers. I don't sell items that are obviously damaged but I am not going to document every little flaw-these items are old and used but in good recondition. These sconces were designed to fit over a sink or vanity. This wall lamp has been washed, paint and most dings removed, and waxed. The canopy bell is 5 inches in diameter and will cover a standard outlet box. The wall sconces stick out about 10 1/2 inches, they are about ... more16"wide and 10" top to bottom. They should match well with a rubbed bronze finish on your hardware. The paddle switches are circle F NOS(new old stock) porcelain fat boy sockets-that work well with a crisp click. The base metal is gray in color with a brass-colored coating.which has oxidized some over time which I believe adds to their overall timeless character. There is some finish loss. They would extend approximately 11" from the wall. The decorative mount is approximately 5 1/4" in diameter while the globe mount measures approximately 4 1/2" Would like to bring to your attention that one decorative leaf is missing from the bottom of one of the sconces as shown in photo#5. Antique brass candle sconces - wall mounted pair
For sale is a beautiful pair of antique brass candle sconces with a rich green patina in some of the crevices. They weigh 234 grams each and mount with four screws. They protrude 9" from the wall and can swing freely on their hinges. The mount itself is 3.25" tall and wide. Each sconce will accept a candle up to 1" diameter and has a screw to hold smaller candles securely. Inside of mount is stamped CM 741.

These will need to be rewired as I wouldn't want to trust the wiring that is in them. These have a nice patina on them. One of them has some paint around the base of it and some up on the arm also, which I am sure would come off with some scrubbing. These will need a good cleaning, all I did was knock the top layer of dust off. There is some very, very light corrosion in a few spots but this isn't bad at all. This is a very BEAUTIFUL. UNIQUE and TREMENDOUS pair of SOLID BRASS Sconces! They were purchased at an upscale estate sale. They each have a FANTASTIC HUGE BOW that is screwed on each and DETAILED panels and scrolls and the top has a DIAMOND SHAPED 3 dimensional design on a HUGE oval and pointy"finial" type top to the sconces. These are MOST UNIQUE and I have NEVER in 40 years seen anything as large or as DIFFERENT as they are! They each measure 22" tall. 8" wide and sits 7 1/4" from the wall. The candle holder part can accomodate a glass globe(2 1/2" diameter for the base) although I don't know if this set ever had them. Antique and original pair of Art Nouveau brass piano candle sconces. Or wall sconces. These sconces swivel on the piece that mounts to the wall. The y both have hard to read marks on the back- looks like DEP.MUSTER. Each scon ce stands out from the wall about 9 3/4 inches(24.8 cm) The flat piece that mounts to the wall measures about 4 3/4 inches(12.1 cm) top to bottom and 2 3/4 inches(7 cm) across at the widest point. Some points on condition: the pins on which these sconces swivel are different and likely not original. There is some pitting and greenish oxidation(see pictures) also some very small age/stress cracks that do not affect either the look or structural integrity of these sconces. Purchased at an upscale estate sale the owners said it had been in the family for quite a few years. These are candle holders and are not electrified. Each has a tag on the base that states: Lacquered Brass. Made in India. Lacquered so you don't have to polish then! Here is a great pair of antique/vintage wall sconces, each one in the shape of a Temple Menorah with 7 arms, they would look amazing on any wall, the wiring is original so i would have it checked with an electrition, but it is all there, all original. i did not polish the brass so it is in old patina finish. The menorah part is all brass, the backplate is metal that has been gilded. the turn on and off switch is on the back plate and there are two holes for mounting to the wall. the wiring, like i said is all there from all 7 lights to the back. the pair are big measuring 14 3/4 inches long and 11 inches wide at the widest point.the sconces the backplate measures 5" round and are 6.5 inches deep, that means when mounted on the wall they protrude 6.5 inches from the wall. great for lighting a special spot. And with 7 small candelabra ... morebulbs, you will have a great look on the wall. they have an old look. With nice detailing on the front the brass is worn as is the back plate, you can polish up or use as they are. the candlestick parts are covered with white candle covers, and all the insides are there. i have not lit them, i would check with electrition or good handy man before using them. they are as found in an estate. They were stored in the attic for many years, ok the history of them is this, one member of the family said they were in their grandmother's home in the study over the grandfather's desk area, and that they were there for over 80 years, the other family member said that the family story was that they belonged to an older family relative who was a Rabbi and very learned, and he gave them to the grandfather, that is all I know about them, I purchased them a number of years ago and have stored them but never used them. so here they are to sell and find a new home. if you have any other questions email them to me before bidding. thanks so much. Rare Pair Antique Arts And Crafts Gothic Gilt Iron And Brass Foliate Sconces
This is a wonderful old pair of antique Arts and Crafts Gothic gilt forged iron and brass foliate wall sconces. They probably date from the teens or 1920s. This is a really incredible pair of sconces. The detail and finish is wonderful. I found a pair with a very similar feeling online that were marked E. F. Caldwell. But these unfortunately aren't marked. If you Google Caldwell foliate sconces you will find a similar pair(though I must say not nearly as nice! for sale at $4900. I don't know how heavily they were colored when originally made. But the current color/patina is truly superb. The finish has not been touched. They have the original wiring. Which MUST be changed! Each one extends 8 inches from the wall. Once they're hung on the wall they measure 9 inches from top to bottom. Antique Hardwood Repurposed Loom Shuttle Candle Sconces. Vintage. Brass fittings
This was a really cool find out of Brimfield. Massachusetts. It is a pair of antique loom shuttles that have been repurposed as sconces. The sconces are a hard wood with a brass fittings. The quill has been stabilized, and a piece of scrolled wood with a candle holder has been attached to it. It hangs nicely on the wall, with only a nail in the wall necessary to hang it. The loom shuttle has a maker's mark on it. But I do not recognize it. It appears to be a small"H" with a large"S" looking very much like the American dollar sign. The sconces are 19.5" long and 2.25" wide. The candle holder portion sticks out 5" from the wall.
