PAIR ANTIQUE Gothic Tudor Renaissance Revival WALL SCONCE lamps lights 1920s
I have up for sale a wonderful matching pair of Antique Vintage circa 1920s or there abouts Gothic Tudor Wall Sconces.Complete with original Amber Crackle Glass Chimney Shades. The underlying metal appears to be brass- with factory applied finish. The metal frame measures approx 14-1/2" with the amber chimney- the height is approx 16" The back plate measures approx 4-1/4" wide x 9-3/8" tall. Both sconce frames are in Excellent Original as found Condition! There are no damages and wear is minimal-the finish is excellent. No breaks. No cracks, Etc. The lamps will need new switches- as the old ones are absent. The shades are in very good shape. They have some minor nicking/ nibbles on the top rims but this is fairly trivial and not something at all noticeable. One shade has a small chip. Shown upclose in pic#10. They are ... morea heavy thick glass- and have excellent color and effect when lit. The bulbs that fit the lamp have to be the long slender type. You may have to screw the bulbs in from the top as the inner diameter of the shades are approx the same as the bulb and they will slide through the bottom but the sides touch on the lower section of the bulb. No big deal just do this from the top and no problems.They are old replacement shades-dating to the same era- almost identical to the originals-which are shown in my last pic. I have 3 more identical sconces- the only difference is that the shades on the set that is listed here are a bit darker in color and slightly heavier. From the same era. PLEASE HOLD OFF ON PAYMENT UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED MY INVOICE. I will only package once the lamps sell and will then submit the invoice. I remember these surrounding the perimeter of the lot and the big twinkling"Used Cars" sign in front. What a beautiful picture in my memory. I didnt hesitate years ago when I had a chance to save them from destruction when the old lot was being renovated. I didnt use all for myself and am offering this one. The ceiling canopy has its original colors as well and has some age appropriate wear. There are five new porcelain sockets pictured with 60 watt bulbs along with all new wiring. It is ready to hang and enjoy for many years to come. This amazing light fixture can be adjusted to hang between 26 and 38 inches from the ceiling. The mounting hardware will be included. 1920s Art Deco Vintage Antique Floral Decorated Old Glass Shade 9 " Diameter
Red poppies punctuate the design of this cream and pumpkin Art Deco era glass shade nine inches in diameter with unusual floral decoration from the early 20th century with vivid colors. Design features skillfully executed flowers open and closed with the colors of red pale green and white. The shade is in excellent condition other than dirt and roughage on the edge of the rim as shown in the photographs. Any roughage will be hidden by the shade holder.
