There are NO drawer frames. Each piece has an ornate pressed wood face. The side drawers have ornate drawer pulls. The finish is dark with an alligator texture. The insides of the drawers are dusty. One drawer has a chip on the top left portion of the face. The drawers are solid. Each drawer has a 5" x 3-5/8" bowed face and measures 15-3/8" at the longest point not including the metal pull. It uses common Singer low ... moreshank attachments. All other Red Eye's had rear clamping feet before the 66-4 was released in 1923. There is no exact date when this change occured. But I have had 66-4's from March or April 1923. The 66 remained a side clamping foot from this point on, but the Red Eye decals were stopped shortly after. Serial number G0281156 dates this machine to August 27. 1923. In December, 2012, I sold G0285208, small world! This machine has been properly cleaned and oiled. The timing was checked and it sews very well. Please see the picture of the stitch. I even took the bobbin case a part and cleaned it so it has smooth thread draw. It sewed 6 layers of denim with ease. The stitch is equal on both sides. Here is HD video of this actual machine working. PLEASE NOTE: The wood stand supporting the machine and the handcrank seen in the video are NOT INCLUDED and are NOT FOR SALE. They are for demonstration purposes only! There is NO handcrank in this auction! It comes with 2 bobbins. The bobbin winder has a new rubber wheel and has been tested and works. Overall. This machine has a semi-shiny appearance. There is some wear, scratches and nicks. The deck has scratches and blemishes in the finish. There are also some chips and wear along the front edge. The decals have good color with some scratches and flaked wear. The green in the decals on the main body have flaked away on the backside. The bobbin winder decals are worn. All chrome pieces have a very nice appearance. Some parts on the bobbin winder are darker than others. The nose and round plates are in good condition, but the nose plate is a little dark deep in the grooves. The bobbin and throat plates have some fine scratches. There is no manual. The bellows appear to be capable of pushing air. Parts turn freely. I will disassemble and ship only the parts the bidder wants or ship everything in the pictures-bidders choice. The whole collection would require two boxes- Upper roll drive ass'y-55' x 14" x 12" weight 35# lower foot peddle ass'y- 30" x 24" x' 12" weigh 40# I will enter some thing in the automatic calculator so bidders will get a feel for shipping costs. This is a Set of Antique Ornate Treadle Sewing Machine Drawers. They date from the late 1890's or early 1900's. I do not know who made these. But the style is similar to the following brands; Eldredge, Standard, American, Waltham, Brunswick and National. The set includes 4 side drawers. The middle drawer with built-in long bobbin holder, side panels and some screws. The screws were in the drawers and some look like they belong to the set, so I left all of them with it. There are NO drawer frames. Each piece has an ornate pressed wood face. The side drawers have ornate drawer pulls. The finish is dark with an alligator texture. The insides of the drawers are dusty. One drawer has a chip on the top left portion of the face. The drawers are solid. Each drawer has a 5" x 3-5/8" bowed face and measures 15-3/8" at the longest ... morepoint not including the metal pull. Each drawer has a 5/8" notch along the bottom. This is an Antique Ornate Oak Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Center Drawer. This came from a 1910's Singer Treadle Sewing Machine. The drawer face has ornate beads that run along the top and bottom. The face also has a evenly distributed wood grain. The face has a dark and slightly wrinkled antique finish. There are mild bumps. Dings and scratches. The lower right edge has a thin chip. Some of the beads are worn or chipped. The insides of the drawers is dark and discolored. The center drawer has a 21-1/2" x 2-1/2" face not including the outer horn-shaped pieces. Those measure 23-3/8" tip to tip. The assembly measures 10-3/4" at point"A" and 20-1/8" at point"B" Those are outer measurements. There are locking pins that drop in the tops of both rails that keeps the drawer from sliding out. This ... moredrawer slides into the dust cover below the machine on both sides of the dust cover. The drawer face has a very nice uniform tiger oak stripe across the front. The face was sprayed with satin laquer. There are mild bumps. Dings and scratches. The bottom edge has a small rough spot about 1/3 in from the right. About 1" of the left horn was reglued. A minor glue scar exists. The insides of the drawers is dark and discolored. The center drawer has a 21-1/2" x 2-1/2" face not including the outer horn-shaped pieces. Those measure 23-3/8" tip to tip. The assembly measures 10-3/4" at point"A" and 20-1/8" at point"B" Those are outer measurements. There are locking pins that drop in the tops of both rails that keeps the drawer from sliding out. This is an Antique Willcox& Gibbs Treadle Sewing Machine Cabinet Extension Leaf Table. This holds the"G" shaped Willcox& Gibbs machines with a round base that has a single screw for holding the machine in place. The table measures 41-3/4" x 16-1/8" when opened and 28-1/2" when folded down. There is a slot for the treadle cord. The bonnet hardware measures 12" apart at the rear and approx. 10" front to back. This was on an ornate treadle base with a patent date from the 1870's. I do not know exactly how old this table is. The wood has wear on top and is very dark in areas. The edges where the table folds has a lot of chipped and flaked veneer. There are gouges where the rear clips from the bonnet were repeatedly hitting the table. The hinges are good. This is an Antique Oak Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Center Drawer. This came from a late 1900's Singer Treadle Sewing Machine. The drawer face has a unique oak stripe pattern. Not quite tiger, but some form of cross grain cut. The front wood was stripped and spayed with satin laquer. Someone had originally painted it yellow and tan to make some form of antique white wash pattern. It was a total failure. Some of that residual paint exists on the backside and rails. There are some minor dings on the face. The horns have wear on the tips. The center drawer has a 21-1/2" x 2-1/2" face not including the outer horn-shaped pieces. Those measure 23-3/8" tip to tip. This is a very nice Minnesota model A working treadle sewing machine with original attachments and instruction book circa 1925. The sewing machine is enclosed in a tiger oak cabinet when not in use. To use you open the front swing door and lift the top right to left and the machine pulls up. The tiger oak cabinet appears to be in original condition and the finish is very good. When closed the cabinet measures 22 1/2" wide. 18" deep, and is 30 1/2" tall. It sits on four rollers. The belt has one worn spot on it but it is working. The Singer logo is only located on the sides of the base. These are found with Singer models 15. 27 and VS2 that have a bonnet(coffin) to cover the machine head. The machine heads did not fold away into the cabinet. But were top mounted. This bolts to the rear right side of the frame above the flywheel. This is a stock photo. Singer ~ Flat Key for Antique Treadle Sewing Machine old Original red eye
Here is an original Singer Flat key. most Singers used a square ended key( i have one in another auction) but for a shorter amount of time they used this flat key so they are harder to find. the inside shape of the bow I'm told is used to set the needle. if you look in the keyhole of your machine& see a square shape you need a square key if you see a slot like the end of a flat screwdriver. This should work for you.there are a few trying to sell repos of these from stammped steel but I only sell originals. the originals have the beveled edge on the tip the repos do not. Rare Serviced Antique 1923 Singer 66-4 Red Eye Treadle Sewing Machine WORKS
This is an Antique Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Head. Model 66-4 with Red Eye decals. This is the rare side clamping foot. It uses common Singer low shank attachments. All other Red Eye's had rear clamping feet before the 66-4 was released in 1923. There is no exact date when this change occured. But I have had 66-4's from March or April 1923. The 66 remained a side clamping foot from this point on, but the Red Eye decals were stopped shortly after. Serial number G0281156 dates this machine to August 27. 1923. In December, 2012, I sold G0285208, small world! This machine has been properly cleaned and oiled. The timing was checked and it sews very well. Please see the picture of the stitch. I even took the bobbin case a part and cleaned it so it has smooth thread draw. It sewed 6 layers of denim with ease. The stitch is equal on both ... moresides. All chrome pieces have a very nice appearance. Some parts on the bobbin winder are darker than others. Antique American Eldredge Brunswick Sewing Machine Treadle Assembly Steam Punk
This is an Antique Sewing Machine Treadle Assembly. It is from a wooden Brunswick treadle sewing machine frame. But may fit other brands such as Eldredge, American and Waltham. Please read the measurements below. I have pictured the cabinet these came from and also how they look when mounted. Since it was mounted to a wooden treadle frame. This assembly can be mounted to any wooden structure providing and endless list of items that you can become treadle powered! It includes the pedal. Center support bar with pivots, flywheel, wooden pitman arm, dress(flywheel) guard and mounting nuts and screws. The center support bar is 1/2" diameter with a total length of 21-3/4" It will fit a 19-3/4" opening. You may need washers on both sides ends. The foot pedal measures 12" at the pivots and is 9" deep. Not including the area ... morewhere the pitman arm connects. The flywheel measures 11-1/4" diameter. The pitman arm measures 9-1/2" at the centers of each hole with a 12" total length. If you are mounting these to a wooden structure you need to consider these measurements. These can mounted to wood up to 3/4" thick. The bottom support bar hole should be 1-3/4" from the floor. The flywheel is mounted 10-1/2" from the support bar hole(measured at the centers)and is set towards the back 3/4" The opening(between both sides) should be 19-3/4" To install the pitman arm. You need to remove the screw and slightly spread the wood apart and slip it over the large screw on the flywheel. Tighten the pitman screw just enough to secure it. Too tight will bind the arm and may cause it to break. Then insert the the other end into the back right end of the pedal. There is a thick pin that gets tapped into place from the right side. You do not need to hammer it hard, just enough to secure it. Remember, cast iron is brittle. If its hit too hard it will break. The paint is worn and and has a dirty. Aged appearance. I have other treadle parts listed as well. This is a great set of 6 drawers from an antique Singer machine this is the set with the large side trim. If you cleaned and oiled these the wood will look 10 times better plus the camera flash makes them look worse. One side has some veneer chipped as you can see but a great set. They come with the original wood frame brackets. Use these on your machine or to store things in your home they look great and are very useful.
