This machine has a serial number of ... moreJ578575- according to the Singer website. This machine was made in 1904. It is housed in the original wooden cabinet. The cabinet is a nice, warm dark brown wood, I believe it is walnut. It is a Parlor Style Cabinet- the machine glides straight down into the cabinet when you push the button, instead of folding down like other models. The cabinet has a line of drawers on one side- the other side has what looks like is an identical line of drawers, but this is really a door. When all closed up, this has the look of a wooden table or cabinet- none of the sewing machine is visible. The Machine itself is in very good shape- it is a Sphinx model. There is an old belt included and when you pump the treadle, the wheel spins freely and the needle goes up and down smoothly. The cabinet, when closed, measures 34 x 17 inches and is 29 inches tall. The cabinet has typical signs of wear and tear- this is 110 years old- but is in overall good condition. You can see in the photos that most of the drawer and door hardware pulls were removed at some point. The lower doors will need new hinges. Some wear, rings, and scratches on the finish, but the wood is in overall good shape. There is also a group of accessories included with this machine- some instruction booklets, needles, bobbins, etc. see photo for all that is included. This will make a wonderful restoration project! This is an Antique Ornate Oak Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Center Drawer. This came from a 1910's Singer Treadle Sewing Machine. The drawer face has ornate beads that run along the top and bottom. The face also has a evenly distributed wood grain. The face has a dark and slightly wrinkled antique finish. There are mild bumps. Dings and scratches. The lower right edge has a thin chip. Some of the beads are worn or chipped. The insides of the drawers is dark and discolored. The center drawer has a 21-1/2" x 2-1/2" face not including the outer horn-shaped pieces. Those measure 23-3/8" tip to tip. The assembly measures 10-3/4" at point"A" and 20-1/8" at point"B" Those are outer measurements. Not quite tiger, but some form of cross grain cut. The front wood was stripped and spayed with satin laquer. Someone had originally painted it yellow and tan to make some form of antique white wash pattern. It was a total failure. Some of that residual paint exists on the backside and rails. The Singer logo is only located on the sides of the base. These are found with Singer models 15. 27 and VS2 that have a bonnet(coffin) to cover the machine head. The machine heads did not fold away into the cabinet. But were top mounted. This bolts to the rear right side of the frame above the flywheel. This is a stock photo. Singer ~ Flat Key for Antique Treadle Sewing Machine old Original red eye
Here is an original Singer Flat key. most Singers used a square ended key( i have one in another auction) but for a shorter amount of time they used this flat key so they are harder to find. the inside shape of the bow I'm told is used to set the needle. if you look in the keyhole of your machine& see a square shape you need a square key if you see a slot like the end of a flat screwdriver. This should work for you.there are a few trying to sell repos of these from stammped steel but I only sell originals. the originals have the beveled edge on the tip the repos do not. Rare Serviced Antique 1923 Singer 66-4 Red Eye Treadle Sewing Machine WORKS
This is an Antique Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Head. Model 66-4 with Red Eye decals. This is the rare side clamping foot. It uses common Singer low shank attachments. All other Red Eye's had rear clamping feet before the 66-4 was released in 1923. There is no exact date when this change occured. But I have had 66-4's from March or April 1923. The 66 remained a side clamping foot from this point on, but the Red Eye decals were stopped shortly after. Serial number G0281156 dates this machine to August 27. 1923. In December, 2012, I sold G0285208, small world! This machine has been properly cleaned and oiled. The timing was checked and it sews very well. Please see the picture of the stitch. I even took the bobbin case a part and cleaned it so it has smooth thread draw. It sewed 6 layers of denim with ease. The stitch is equal on both ... moresides. I've separated the head from the cabinet and treadle and am parting this out. It was in rough shape as you can tell by the picture. But I've cleaned everything up and taken all the decades of grime off of it. The head is surprisingly in very good condition with great graphics- but I haven't done anything with it mechanically since that is out of my league. Please check out my other auctions for all of the pieces parts that I will be listing from this unit. In this auction you are viewing the sewing head. The model number is GOO85634. I have not done anything to this machine other than remove some of the grime that had coated it. Amazingly enough the graphics were in ... morevery good condition with lots of color. The bobbin plate is missing. I was able to engage the movement by turning the wheel in the back. I would think this would need a thorough cleaning and oiling if you wanted to use it. Of course you could always part it out. But from what I see you only would need to clean and oil this and replace the plate to make this baby sing. There is a gob of white paint on the neck that I didn't want to mess with. It's latex and should come off easily, but I know that everyone cleans things differently and I don't want to mess with the original finish. INSURANCE: Since ebay has taken away the insurance option in the listing. It is up to you to decide if you wish it insured or not. SINGER TREADLE SEWING MACHINE DRAWERS- RED EYE MODEL 66-116 Up for auction are six drawers and the two internal drawer holders/ cabinets from a Model 66-16 Red Eye Singer Treadle Sewing Machine from 1911. The drawers are made of quartersawn oak. Both the front of the drawers and sides of the cabinets have carved decorative accents. The drawers measure approximately 11-5/8" deep by 4-3/8" wide. The cabinet portions that hold the drawers measure 14" deep by 5-1/2" wide and approximately 14-3/4" tall. One drawer is missing its circular center pull as shown in the fourth photo. Aside from this flaw. The wood has only a couple of minor dents/ dings, and contact paper has been applied to the interior of the drawers. This is a vintage SINGER treadle sewing machine belt shifter. These were used on the cast iron bases to get the leather belt on or off the belt wheel. This one is in very nice condition and includes that all important spring. These original springs are getting harder to find. The shifter was recently repainted. This one came from an 1883 base. That's correct. 1883. The machine serial# was 5,993,230 which goes back over 129 years. This is an older shifter, but they never changed over all the years the treadle machines were made. This shifter will fit any treadle machine no matter what year. If you are looking to upgrade the shifter on your machine. This will be perfect. If you are looking for an original real vintage shifter, this is it. Get Grandma's machine going again.

SINGER Treadle Sewing Machine Antique Vintage 1900s It does show signs of wear consistent with a 100 plus years old sewing machine. Some of the decals have faded but it is still a striking piece with the gold decal on the black body and the silver metal including the ornate face plates. There is some surface rust and it could use a good cleaning. My pictures tell the story of this old beauty! Fabulous as a decorative display piece or repair parts. Doesn't appear to work but I am totally not sure about this machine. I turned the hand wheel and it does move with a little hesitancy after you turn it to some degree to the front and the back but not a full turn. It's rusted and would definitely need work. This is an antique and very rare 1907 Singer treadle Tiffany decal sewing machine with bobbin. It turns but could use some oiling. Some scuffs/scratches here and there and there is some pitting on the black paint throughout but it is still a striking piece with eye-catching decals on the black body and the ornate metal including the ornate face plate. This is oak wood with a flat top cover. So you can use this as a table when not in use. The machine folds inside nicely. This has a wonderful gold Sphinx detail on it. Which I have always enjoyed looking at. This also comes with the original pamphlet and puzzle box of accessories. This measures 30" tall. 3' 1" wide, and 18" deep. There are some bobbins in the little front drawer that you are welcome to have as well. The legs are marked Singer Manufacturing CO. The spring is intact on the belt shifter and comes with the metal pitman arm. The mounting holes are 11 1/8" center to center(front to back) and 22 3/8" center to center(length wise) and stands approximately 28 1/8" tall. Treadle will be dismantled for shipping. The head is a model 66 and the serial number on the machine is G5546378. Most of the decals are crisp and full of color and others show wear. There is little rust on metal parts. I turn the balance wheel and the needle goes up and down with little effort. The head could use an oiling. The lock on the center drawer and side drawers are functional and open with ... morethe origonal flat key. Much care will be taken during packaging. The entire item will be shipped in four boxes.
