ANTIQUE/VINTAGE LOT OF 60 METAL BUTTONS, VICTORIAN, GAY 90'S, STEELS,PICTURES,NR
This is a lot of 60 antique/vintage metal buttons. This is not the lot that I auctioned that is just ending now. These are larger. I collected these. As I found them, over time. There is a nice variety here and in a variety of sizes. They range in diameter from 3/4" to 1 5/8" I have broken them down into groups of six, and pictures 2-11 show them in close-up, so you can see what is here. I started with the largest ones in picture 2, and tried to work down in size from there. I included a quarter at the top of each picture to give you a size comparison. Each button is different and I gave them a light cleaning. All have their shanks, but some of those may be bent. I noticed some light rust on the backs of several. These are not perfect, but are just so much fun, and will surely be enjoyed for years to come. There are a few Gay 90's(pictures ... more2& 8) one with glass(picture 3, top right) several with an Art Deco feel, pictorials, cut steel, cages, and many others. As I worked to clean them, I thought that each one was special in its own way. The pictures will do a much better job of describing them to you than I can. MATERIAL AND TRIMS For auction is a wonderful lot of old doll dresser items. There is 1 strand of antique rococo work. 14 inches. It is pink and green and has gold ribbon work on the back. Probably French. 4 pieces of what could have been an old lace collar. All together they measure 32 inches. They are 2 inches wide. No holes or other issues. 1 roll of antique peachy gold silk thread on wooden spool. Spool is 2 inches high. 1 Small roll of about 3 or 4 yards of tiny antique looped lace trim on another wooden spool. Size is 1 1/2 inch. 1 Wonderful old small straw doll hat. Camera just cant pick up the wonderful colors. 2 Wonderful antique ribbons. The antique French ombre picot ribbon is very old and in 4 pieces. This ribbon is 1/8 inches wide. Perfect for ribbon work leaves! 1 Yard of ultra special antique green ribbon. This one has a gold picot edge. Slightly shimmery as well. Really fabulous. 1 pack of 35 antique green foiled back glass tiny doll buttons. 2 Bundles of antique soutache. Wonderful green and a soft white. Pretty sure these are 4 yard bundles. 1 Piece of wonderful antique lace. 35 inches long and is 5 1/2 inches wide. It is lined and is in excellent condition. I think this one is from France. Second piece of lace is beautiful as well. This one had wonderful dots and flowers on it. This looks French as well. Size is 17 x 8 1/2 inches. This one could use a light soak. No rips. This is a lot of 105 antique/vintage buttons. And they are very nice ones. There are Victorian. Metals, pictures, cut steel, heavy metal with rhinestones, plastic with rhinestones, plastic with silk ribbon or cording, Gay 90's, glass, and lucite. They are very clean. No two are exactly alike, and I only saw one missing tiny rhinestone. They range in size from 3/8" in diameter to 1.5" in diameter. Pictures 2- 10 show the buttons up closer. I will go through each picture and give a brief description of each button. In picture 2, top row, left to right is a black plastic button/ black silk cording. Next is gray plastic/loops of gray& brown silk cording. I should tell you that all of this cording is clean. I have had these buttons for over twenty years, and they have been carefully packed away. Next is a large, ornately embossed ... morebrass button. Middle row on the left is a large Gay 90's button/ topaz colored stone center. The middle button is very heavy metal/orangey-rust colored rhinestones. Far right button is triple tiered filligreed metal button/clear glass center/ hand painted decorations. Second row, left is marbled gray plastic button/ black oval rhinestones at edge. Middle is gold glass button/rhinestone/black back. Right is black plastic raised gold/black metal center. Up for auction is a lot of buttons that weighs between 10 and 13 lbs and sometimes a little more and will ship in a medium flat rate box. The majority of these buttons came from an estate of a woman who did button shows back in the 1940’s to 1960’s and possibly worked in a button factory in the New England area. This listing is for 2.8 pounds of estate buttons in tin. Vintage to antique. I won these at a recent auction. As I took the photo's I noticed vegetable ivory. Celluloid, metals, flower buttons, mop and more. Quite a mixture and they look to be good condition. The lot appears to be pretty clean and free of debris. But please use caution because you never know what you will find in buttons! Needles, tacks, nails and other items that could give you a quick jab. Sold as is no returns. Vintage RED Stove Knobs Old Stove Buttons Antique 50's
7 Old stove knobs. Do not have name on them. Fitting is"half moon" Average. They are in descent condition. One needs a brillo pad scrub. Will leave that to the buyer. They measure 2 inches from side to side. No cracks. Little surface rust on back that can be cleaned off with a brillo pad. Sold as-is. If there are questions. Feel free to ask. All vintage items I sell are in great shape, unless I note otherwise. I have received many questions about these. Unfortunately. I do not have any other info other than what I have posted.
