out of an estate is this Early Metal Revolving Sewing Box with Thread Spool Holders& Pin Cushion.it measures 11" across at its widest by 5 1/2" tall.it sits on a revolving base that measures 6" across by 2" high.holds 12 spools of thread on the pins around the box.it's made of a heavy metal to keep it from moving when being used.it rotates freely and easily.has a red pin cushion on the top and has three compartments for other sewing accessories inside.lid and base have a embossed design in it.this early sewing box is in pretty nice condition with some paint wore and scratched off it. But to us it shows the antique look to it.this is a nice rare find and will make a great addition to your sewing room. we'll go ahead and leave the old wood spools on it)

This auction is for porcelain lady pin cushion. She is holding a fan in one hand. She is very pretty. Alone she measures just under 3" But with pin cushion she is approx 5" tall. I can not find any markings on her for the lace and cushion hides her bottom part. She is in very good condition. No chips or cracks. These dolls were my grandmothers and given to me many years ago. They need a home where they can be appreciated and not just sitting in a box on a shelf. Old Probably 19th c. Folk Art Cloth Bird Pin Cushion
I'm pretty sure that this fabric bird is probably 19th c. and probably made in Pennsylvania. It has some staining and I don't think the wings started life with it because it is a very thin floppy material but I could be wrong because I'm not sure how they are supposed to be made. Antique Native American Beaded Iroquois Mohawk Pincushion Pin Cushion
Gorgeous pin cushion dating from the late 19th or early 20th century with beaded dangling loops on the edges. My research leads me to believe this is a pin cushion of the Iroquois Mohawk tradition. The beaded loops are all intact. Measures about 8.5" x 6.5" No rips or tears. But the fabric could use a professional cleaning and there are some tiny pin holes in the velvet. It is gorgeous! Listing is for ONE item. They are labeled#1& 2 so 2 are available. This listing is for shoe#2. This auction is for an antique Victorian leather shoe pin cushion. It measures approximately 4.25" from toe to heel and 2" tall at the highest point. There are NO beads missing on either one. The leather is in excellent condition& the velvet is also in excellent condition& appears to never have had a pin stuck into it. The bottom of shoe#1 has a slight scuff as seen in the photo& the bottom separates when not resting on the shoe as shown in the picture, nothing was done to fix this so as to not decrease the value. Shoe#2 has an X on the bottom, it appears to be in pencil. You can also see what appears to be the nail/tack in the heel. This auction is for a ~ LOVELY VICTORIAN*TUNBRIDGE PIN CUSHION* Great antique condition. C1850 ~ From Tunbridge Wells in the county of Kent. England DETAILS: In Tunbridge ware. Geometric patterns are made of small bits of different naturally colored woods. The top of this piece has the original dark green velvet pin cushion. T he piece is in excellent condition with only a few light scuffs to the clear finish. It measures 1 5/8" wide and is 1 3/8" high. It is in very good antique condition. There is no loss or chips on any of the wooden pieces. About Tunbridge Ware- Tunbridge Wells in Kent started attracting tourists as early as the 17th century. When travelers came to partake of the curative powers of its spring waters. By the end of the 17th century"curious wooden wares" were sold in Tunbridge shops. About 1830 craftsmen ... morefrom Tunbridge discovered a new way of decorating their wares. Bunches of wooden sticks were glued together lengthwise. When they dried, they were cut in slices and glued onto paper before being veneered on to a wooden surface. From then on, Tunbridge craftsmen produced a great variety of designs- each unique as no single one could be reproduced a second time. A variation appeared in the 1860s- stickwork. Instead of slicing the wood horizontally, it was turned on a lathe and the patterns ran lengthwise. This technique was used on a myriad of souvenirs, including no end of sewing tools- needle cases, pin boxes, silk winders, glove menders, thimble cases, wax and emery holders as well as pin cushions including this one- all in the famous Tunbridge marquetry. It is a very nice size and very attractive. It could also be used for a oversized pin cushion which was how it was used by the previous owner(according to the auctioneer) It was purchased at an estate auction where there was a large number of very nice antique sewing items. This is a nice round stool with a wooden base and three small wooden feet. The top is a lovely floral material or tapestry style material. It measures about 4 inches high and it is 11 inches across. It is in good condition. I did not find any breaks or repairs. It has the original finish and the wooden feet appear original as well. There is some wear to the wood as I have shown ... morein the photos. I am not sure what type of wood this is. Please refer to the photos for the wood and condition. This is a great antique stool. Lovely Antique Victorian Inlaid Wood Sewing Box with Pincushion and Drawer Nice wood box with inlay surrounding all four side. Drawer, top and pincushion. Pincushion insert appears to have been replaced many years ago. Dimensions Overall: 6 3/4" Tall x 8 3/4" Wide x 9 1/4" Deep Pincushion: 2"High x 3 1/2" Wide x 3 3/4" Deep Drawer: 4 7/8" Wide x 6 1/2" Deep Stamps on bottom(see picture)appears to be titled: FACTORY NO. 1005. Antique German Porcelain Flapper Lady Half Doll Pin Cushion Art Deco Figurine
This is a lovely German porcelain flapper half doll wearing red jewelry and holding a fan. She is model number 8169 and while she displays well. She has a few hairlines across her front and back, please see pictures. Also a dark tiny spot near her nose. She is 3 1/4 inches tall, beautiful for the collector! Charming Birmingham Silver Pig Pin Cushion
This is a really charming little solid silver pig pin cushion. It is fully hall marked Birmingham Silver and the makers initials are either CME or GME- it is very hard to distinguish which. There is no date letter. The pig measures just over 5cm long and approx 2.5cm high. He has a lovely facial expression and it looks as though he is laughing or smiling. The cushion part is covered in blue velvet and is in good condition. There are a few light scratches on the body commensurate with age but you can only see these on very close inspection. This would be a great addition for anyone who collects pin cushions or pigs. Delightful antique sterling silver duck pin cushion
This is a really charming little sterling silver duck pin cushion. It is stamped'Sterling' silver on the base. The duck measures approx 3.5cm long and approx 1.5cm high. There is a lot of hand tooled detailing on the body and head showing the plumage of the bird. The cushion part is covered in a golden coloured velvet. This would be a great addition for anyone who collects pin cushions or ducks.
