The one on the front has the size 11 and below this is the trademark for Goldsmith Stern& Co. It is an anchor with a rope that Stern calls a fouled anchor. There are five panels with a diamond of a cross in the middle. Above and below this are diamond and star designs. There are three panels that are plain with diamond designs around it. Vintage 10K Gold Thimble Size 9 Nestled W/In Custom Metal Walnut Case
For sale is a beautiful. Unknown vintage solid 10K gold thimble, size 9, nestled within a custom metal walnut case with yellow silk lining. The original finish on the metal walnut case has turned a dark brown patina, there is some fraying of the silk threads where the band of the thimble has been nestled for many years. The thimble itself is in excellent condition, no holes or much sign of wear or use, there are some fine scratches along the band area as might be expected of gold(see photo#7) The thimble is named to a"Mahgaret Dunn" and the number"9" is scrolled just to the left of her name. there is no hallmark or maker's name or symbol, but it has been thoroughly tested and is unquestionably solid 10K gold. The open end is not perfectly round, has some slight waviness here and there(see photo#8) but the thimble is ... morenot dented or deformed. There is a bell shaped symbol at the apex of the inside, the number"8" is lightly scrolled within. Walnut case opens and closes as designed. Weighs.09 troy ounces of 10K gold. Up for sale is a beautiful antique Victorian etched solid 10k gold thimble with bail! The thimble is a size 7 and measures 24mm tall and 15mm in diameter at the base and the bail measures 2mm. The thimble weighs 6.0g. On the inside of the thimble. Along the rim, it is stamped 7, indicating the size. The thimble is very lightly used and is in excellent condition.
