You can see all the attachments match the pictures. The attachments can be seen in the photos. It is interesting to see as you look at the close-up of the pictures that most of the attachments are identified with stamped numbers and their position holders also are stamped with the corresponding numbers. In this Style No. 11 box. All the numbers are 5 digit numbers. You can see these numbers in the close up pictures. Numbers 1-6 are stamped on the hemmers and holders, 7,8, 9, 11, 14,15,16,17,18 and 19 ... moreare stamped on the holders. All parts are in good condition. The ruffler is stamped with Singer U.S.A. The velvet interior is a rich dark purple in good condition with no tears. The outside of the box is a beautiful golden oak wood in good condition with normal aging for 100 year old wood. The box is stamped with a patent date of February 19. 1889. The puzzle box is very interesting with its four quarters which fold out flat. It is this design that Mr. Griest patented in 1889. This box is solid with a nice original finish. Hinges are brass and in good working order. The closing clasp shuts well. The closed box measures 3 1/2" x 6 1/2" The outside and inside of the box can be seen in the pictures. The box was found with a business card of an attorney from New York 17. N.Y. Genuine Antique Singer VS1 VS2 Bullet Shuttle Case Long Bobbin 27 28 127 128
This is a Genuine Antique Singer Bullet Shuttle with Long Bobbin. It is made for Singer VS1 and VS2 treadle sewing machines. It can also fit antique/vintage Singer models 27. 28, 127 and 128. The 27/28 use part number 8301. The 127/128 use part number 54504. What distinguishes this from the newer style shuttles is that both bands on the thread tension are one piece and joined at the end where the bobbin inserts. This is seen at the bottom of the picture. The 8301 is separated into two bands at that point. This style has a divot just left of the thread tension screw on the nose. It is in good working order. But the metal has some blemishes and discoloration. It was totally taken apart and cleaned to ensure smooth thread feed. It was also tested in an Antique Singer 27. This is a Nice Antique Singer 27 Sewing Machine Balance Wheel Guard with Screw. It mounts on the right side of the machine over the treadle cord groove on the balance wheel. It came from a 1908 Singer 27 with Sphinx decals. It will also fit a Singer model VS2 with a rectangular base and fiddle-shaped bases. The black paint is semi-flat. The decals are almost complete with some minor wear and oil deposits on gold finish. It comes with the original mounting screw. This is a very good replacement part for missing or worn pieces. Nice antique sewing machine manuals for Singer No 27 Machine. The Form 7160 instruction manual for the machine is in decent condition. And seems to be all intact except for the back cover which is included but not attached. The inside pages are legible and the pictures are great. Also included, which is more rare, is the Form 7306 instruction manual for the attachments. This manual is not in as good condition, but all the inner pages seem to be there and they are legible with clear pictures. Both covers of the attachment manual are torn with missing edges and not attached. Please look at photos to see condition. These are very fragile as they are over 110 years old. They make great additions to any collection of manuals or sewing machine items, or the pages could be removed and framed or sold separately. Antique Singer VS2 27 Treadle Sewing Machine Sphinx Balance Wheel Cord Guard
This is an Antique Singer 27 Sewing Machine Balance Wheel Guard with Screw. It mounts on the right side of the machine over the treadle cord groove on the balance wheel. It came from a 1908 Singer 27 with Sphinx decals. It will also fit a Singer model VS2 with a rectangular base and fiddle-shaped bases. The black paint is semi-flat. The decals are almost complete with some minor wear and oil deposits on gold finish. It comes with the original mounting screw. This is a good replacement part for missing or worn pieces. This is an Antique Rewired Treadle Sewing Machine Light. It is made by Leviton and is made to fit all Singer sewing machines with a round plate on the back. See the example of the light when it is installed on a Singer model 66. It fits Singer treadle sewing machine models 15. 27, 28, 66(Red Eye) and 127. Make sure your machine the round, rear plate like the example. Since treadle machines are foot powered and do not require electricity. I installed a 6 foot cord so it can provide light from the closest receptacle. It has been rewired and comes with a 6 foot cord with a molded plug. The cord is used. But in very good condition. The black plate has some scratches and nicks, but these are hidden by the round plate when installed. The chrome has been cleaned and polished. 1889 Singer Puzzle Box From Model Singer 27 Great Condition 17 Attatchments!!!
I have up for auction this Antique Singer 1889 Puzzle Box with 17 Attachments from a Model 27 Singer. The box itself is in great condition. I cleaned it up with a high quality wood cleaner that will also protect the wood. The interior has its original red velvet lining which is still in pretty good condition. The hinges all function correctly and the latch that keeps it closed still operates very well. There are 17 attachments inside of the box I am not sure how many or which ones came in the box originally but I pictured all that I have.
