Happy to offer these exquisite examples of well made AND beautiful vintage. I have dated these c. mid 1800's based on the design and materials. These sweet little brass buttons measure 5/8" Diameter. They are a single layer. Openwork dome with a dimensional floral motif. Each features 8 facet cut steel gems, creating sparkling beauty despite some tarnish. There is a total of 18 buttons. 3 GORGEOUS ANTIQUE BUTTONS that I believe are from the 1890's and are called GAY 90's for their bold design and flair! All 3 of these are grouped together because they do not have their shanks on the back. I'm not sure if they still have value but they certainly are beautiful. The largest one with the purple glass stone measures 1 3/4" in diameter. The steel cut button is 1 1/2" diameter and the smallest with the celluloid center is 1 1/4" They are so much nicer then my photos so bid with confidence. Small Lot os Cut Steel Steel Cup Buttons with Matching design
This lot of cuf steel buttons includes 10 buttons shown on the outer circle all in matching detail and size. Additionally there are three smaller buttons in the same design. Cut steel buttons are from the mid to late 1800's and these do show some rust on the back. I pulled them from cards in my collection yesterday and they do need a bit of cleaning.
