Vintage Singer Patent 1889 Puzzle Box Sewing Compact Kit
Up for auction is a vintage 1889 Singer"style" box or puzzle box sewing compact kit. It has a collection of accessories for a sewing machine. Produced by the during the 19th and 20th centuries. These neat and compact kits provide supplies and attachments for easing many common sewing tasks. At the time they were called'Style' boxes, and were numbered consecutively from 1(Style No. 1" to 14 as newer versions evolved from older ones. The box is full of accessories which are all in great condition. The box is in good condition considering its age with some fading of the wood. Large Antique Round Wicker Sewing Basket with Lid, Tassels and RIng
An estate sale find. This is a wonderful old turn of the century woven wicket sewing basket. The size is a good one, both for decoration and use, it measures 12" in circumference and is about 5.5" high. The lid fits perfectly. It still has its' original center ring and two sets of two tassels, in slightly different colors. I can find no damage to either the basket or the lid, and this comes from a nonsmoking home.

Big Early 19thC Victorian Sewing Box with Ladies Portrait
A wonderful antique ladies sewing box. The box is made from wood and features an unusual design technique with a ladies portrait in black under the original finish. The design is similar to mauchlin ware but not quite the same. The box has black pinstripes along the edges and a push button clasp.It is lined in old paper. It has a solid top and bottom board and small square nail construction. I think this is early and would guess circa 1830's-1850s. The finish has fine crazing overall and a lovely patina in the wood. The Sewing Box is BIG at 22 1/2" x 13 3/8" x 6 3/8" It is in very good overall condition for it's age. There is a whitish spot on the lid. The lid is slightly warped so the clasp doesn't catch, see photos. It dates to about 1900 and the woman who owned this made it into a sewing basket. Margie Wilson was the owner according to the note inside by her son. There are a few sewing items that are remaining in the box. The hinged collar button holder clasp mechanism works great but the lid is dented. The hinged lid on the box is intact but a part of the clasp is missing for the closure. You should be able to find a new one without problems. This auction is for a very nice Antique English Burled Walnut Sewing Box with multiple Compartments and a Red Satin Lining. Circa 1860's-1870's. The lady I purchased this from said it belonged to her grandmother who emigrated from England to Iowa in 1877. The box measures 12 X 8 1/4 X 4 7/8 inches. The tray has 14 compartments. Three have lids(one is missing it's button) two have folded satin covered inserts. There are two non removable satin covered blocks in the corners for needles. Also. A generous pocket inside the lid with a fastener. Brass furniture. No key. There are two corners with wear/veneer loss. The sewing box is in overall Fine condition. We always combine shipping. Post cards and other paper items are shipped in rigid containers. 4-6 stills or photos will fit into one rigid container.

Vintage 8 3/4" Chinese Sewing Basket w/ Lid. 2 Citrine Peking Glass Rings, Dark Wicker The vintage lidded Chinese style sewing basket offered in this auction is woven of dark wicker. 2 creamy yellow glass rings are attached to the top. I am calling them citrine Peking Glass but am not certain it is correct to do so. There is a mark in white on the inside of lid that could be oriental symbols and the basket bottom has a partial red/white stamp marked Mad? Woven of dark brown wicker. The basket is 3 3/4" high with the lid in place, has a 8 3/4" top diameter, 2 3/4" high bottom portion and 6 1/4" bottom ring. The lid will fit down onto the basket rim tightly. It has 2- 2 5/8" creamy yellow glass rings neatly tied onto the lid and knotted on the underside. The basket bottom portion is in good condition. There is ... moreno damage or loose pieces. Antique Lady's Sewing Traveling Case / Necessaire w/ Implements
PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: This auction is for a lovely antique lady's traveling necessaire or sewing case. I could not find a makers mark on this. Hard form. Possibly wood, covered with a deep purple velvet. Swing silver tone handle. Decorative silver tone cutwork at the front top and back. Silver tone bands around each side of the case. There is a push down silver tone button at the top allowing the case to open. Four metal feet on the under base. Interior is lined on both sides with a silver silk fabric. There is a mirror on one side(much of the silver is missing) and sewing implements on the other side. There are three sewing pieces including a pair of bird formed scissors marked Garland Cutlery Germany. This case is a very nice piece! Stains or fading to the purple velvet fabric. The interior silk is in excellent condition with some light soiling but no tears or stains. Silver has tarnished consistent with age. I have not tried to clean the metal that has tarnished. Side bands do have some dents. Scissors are tarnished with some scratches. Opens and closes nicely. No odor. My home is smoke-free. MEASUREMENTS: 5 1/8 in. across; 3 in. tall with handle laying flat; 4 1/2 in. tall with handle standing upright; 3 in. deep measured at the bottom. H ere are two wonderful old straw woven baskets- one is 11 1/2" in diameter and the other 9 1/2" They came from an estate sale filled with vintage buttons and sewing items from as far back as the 1920's. I have since sold all the buttons and sewing collection. But I have included the picture showing them all as it was a very good photo of the insides of the baskets. I am sure they are vintage. This piece was also obtained in the late 60's- purchased out of a home on the New Jersey shore. It is very solid. Not rickety or wobbly or loose- The wicker is intact and really quite nice. It's quite solid& strong. If you're local and pick it up- I'll throw in some needles& thread.

19thc Antique Leather Cased Sewing Set Etui MOP Tools Case Kit Scissors Wallet
For your consideration is this 19th century antique English made sewing set. The case is covered in black leather with a buttery taupe leather interior. It has several compartments. This cased sewing kit includes many mother of pearl handled tools that would aid in different areas of needlework. This set includes a pair of scissors marked"Empire" A stiletto, 2 buttonhooks, a pen knife, a nail file, a packet of Flora Macdonald needles, a packet of Milward's Gold Seal needles, a Stitching Time needlebook, some darning cotton thread, and an old London Post Office telegram. Condition: Very Fine! Case is in great condition except a few stiches have come loose from the area underneath the pockets where the needle packet are(please see photos) Latch work great.
