The lamps are large and measure 14 1/2" tall and have a diameter of 7" These solid brass ship lanterns at one point were electrified however no permanent damage was done during the electrifying process and the added sockets can be easily removed bringing them back for their original purpose. If you intend to use them with electricity then a new cord will be required as the cords were cut during removal. Neither has the interior oil lamp and I have been told that just about any small metal wide bottom oil lamp can be used. Both lanterns have their original thick heavy clear lens and these are in excellent condition. They also retain their bottom lenses(shown in images) Both tops are hinged with their original thumb screw and have their original bail handle. The brass is in very good condition with no damage. This is ... morea rare. Brass oil lantern manufactured in the early 1900's for use in finer staterooms. It is an absolutely beautiful antique in great condition. There are two small cracks(you can see them in the last two pictures) around the base of the lantern. Most likely caused by age. Also I had a hard time screwing together the lantern and the piece that connects to the wall. I think it could be easily replaced with another bolt. And it might even go together if it is forced. I was trying to be careful when I was putting it together. See the third to last picture to know the piece I am talking about. This lamp was manufactured by C. Gray Ship Chandlers Established 1882 Arbroyath. Scotland. You can see that information on the brass nameplate(see picture above) This lamp used to belong to my aunt’s great uncle and he bought it many many years ago in San Francisco. The lamp is very heavy! The burners are original with a double wick. The knobs are stamped"Duplex Made in England" It appears to be original and in working condition. The wick knobs turn. I have not attempted to put fuel in the lamp or light it. Because I do not know how and I do not want to mess it up! The lamps have not been polished because I wanted to keep it in its current condition and I liked the way they look! The clear glass chimney is in perfect condition. As you can see in the picture the green shade does not fit around the holder(it fits there just fine. But it does not go to the edge of the metal rim) so I do not know if it is just made that way or this is not the original shade. Either way it looks beautiful. I just want to make sure you can see that in the picture and you are given the best description possible! This is a super cool piece. One of a kind and will make an AWESOME addition to any nautical theme, cabin, cottage, home, boat decor themes etc. It is a hanging light- Light lantern stands 18 inches tall, hanging chain is also approx. 18 inches. This is a vintage Anchor galvanized light painted yellow with heavy, thick glass. 1970's. Has not been tested since being taken down, but was working last time it was hooked up, you are buying as is! Vintage Cast Brass Ship's Nautical Passageway Light - Rewired & Polished #6

You are bidding on the vintage cast brass Ship's nautical passageway ceiling light shown in the above photos. This light measure about 8 1/2 inches tall and about 4 inches wide. The base has three mount holes that are about 2 1/2 inches off the center of the light. The globe is glass and in good condition. The light weighs almost 5 pounds. You can access the bulb area by unscrewing the cage and then unscrewing the glass globe. The glass is undamaged. But could use some additional cleaning. The cage and the glass globe screw on and off with little effort. This light has been totally rewired with all new UL-Listed parts rated for any voltage of ... more250 volts or less. The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 100 watts or less. The new wires exit from the new hole we drilled on the bottom of the light, and the original conduit holes have been plugged with copper caps. These lights were recovered from one of our many salvage operations. These lights will have some minor wear that may include bending to the cage ribs. While we have removed most of the original paint and polished the light, some buyer may want to do additional polishing work. The cage has one broken rib near the threaded ring on the bottom side. Not a big issue. But I just want to point it out. This can also be seen in the attached photos. This light can be used inside or outside. It will never rust! If you have questions. Vintage Bronze Tung Woo Hong Kong EK1390 PORT Ship Lantern Lamp Nautical
Vintage Tung Woo PORT Lantern I recovered this Tung Woo port-side lantern from a sunken pipe barge while working off the coast of Borneo in the South China Sea in 1971. From it’s configuration it appears to have always been an electric lantern. I used it with a small battery light for a little evening ambiance on the deck table. So no heat damage from using it with candles. From the number of mounting holes(see last photo) it had a long service use history before I salvaged it. My guess is early post WWII. It has a heavy clear glass lens with an internal removable curved glass red filter. It’s got dents. Dimples and a wonky corner, decades of stains from living outside but no gouges or deep scratches. A brass"MASTHEAD" plaque surmounts the hood of this VINTAGE NAUTICAL LANTERN. It stands 14-1/2 inches tall. Not including handle. Features CURVED GLASS LENS and curved metal reflector plate, Sturdy brass mounting brackets on back- presumably for affixing to the mast of a sailing ship. Constructed of brass, glass, and brass plating over- judging from the tarnish- probably copper? This is most likely an older decorative reproduction. It's rendition is very faithful. And lantern is functional. The base unscrews to take a CANDLE- either one with a wide base, or a taper inserted into your own socket(no disrespect intended) OR. It weighs a little over 12 pounds. I'm not sure if it's copper or brass. It's also very LARGE. It measures about 13 1/2" tall, 13 3/4" wide and is approximately 9 1/2" deep from each corner to the back. It was a originally a kerosene or oil ship's lantern. It's an amazing light! It's in excellent working condition, it's been newly re-wired& has an antique switch in the front(converted to electric) The switch is turned to right each time you want to turn it off or no. It has a removable red port glass(see photos of it turned on, with and without the red glass) The clear glass has a small 1/2" chip in one of the ... moreribbed sections; it's a very heavy thick glass so this does not compromise anything. Near the top of the lamp there's an emblem that has the numbers"3883" There is also some etching on both the clear and red glass. I wonder if this belonged to a military ship. As most items on those ships were marked with serial#s etc. The writing on each glass piece says"DHJE 3883, No. 654, E.31.5.61" It's not very noticable and you can't see it unless you really look; it's not seen when the light is on. The door does stick some; you have to put some effort into it, to open it. Condition wise.it's vintage! There are a few dings& dents. Some areas of wear etc.but considering it was a ship light, it's going to have a weathered old look, which I personally prefer. I've never seen another light like this. It has a great industrial. Here is a Large 8 inch tall RED LENSE REAL GLASS marked Corning on glass Nautical SHIP. DOCK, or PIER Nautical Light. This 8 inch tall lamp has a 3 1/2 inch tall RED glass bezile lense, There are only a couple of specs on the glass that appears to be in very good condition NO CRACKS. The base is 6 inches across and the light is very heavy duty. Not sure if it is military as it appears to be somewhat grey in coloring. There is a number 9-S 4473-L in raised lettering on top. There is a 64 inch heavy duty cord with some type of plug in socket end see photo 5. Not sure if from a ship, dock or pier. Not sure if it works or what type of power supply it used. Lamps are. For the most part, boring creatures. They are quite useful for reassuring yourself that there are, in fact, no murderous clowns hidden in your guest room, but when it comes to design, your standard, run of the mill lamp can be a bit yawn-inducing. Luckily, there are enterprising people out there that like to make lamps out of awesome things, hence how this Ship's Lamp was born. For your consideration is a very old Westinghouse Electronic MFG. Co. Floodlight. It is very heavy. It's on a stand and the light swivels up and down. A metal plate on the top front says that the watts are 200 and the Style is 1217420. There is a W on the top metal and also in the middle of the lens. I found one like this on Google and it is described as Vintage Nautical. Maritime Floodlight, Naval, Ship Light from around the 1940's. I know nothing about the history of the floodlight but would like to know more about it if anyone can tell me more. The cord is old and I did not test it. This item is large and heavy. I'm guessing it is cast iron and aluminum but not sure of the material. The back shows black that comes off when I dabbed at it. This is probably a pretty rare item and would make a good addition to any Nautical collection. Sale fell through on last listing of this item. Rare Vintage 1968 Nautical Ship Table Lamp. This Lamp is made of Solid Wood(appears to be walnut) It has an anchor attached to the front and uses Authentic Ship Hawser Anchor Rope. The shade is lined with real rope and depicts an art scene of a sailing vessel and a small row boat in the background. It is marked"Whaling bark- 1840" The lamp h as old fashioned green felt like surface protector pad on the bottom to protect the surface it is rested upon. This impressive well made lamp is of quality and craftsmanship you cannot find anymore. The lamp is in well preserved condition. Having little wear to the finish. Fresh from an estate nautical collection is a RARE Antique Perko Brass Ship Lantern with brass tag that reads PERKO Manufacturer's Trademark Perkins Marine Lamp& Hardware Corp. Miami Florida USA" on the front and another Perko stamp on the back. Lantern originally sold at some point by Bourne's Hyannis Port Cape Cod Massachusetts. This brass navigation lamp is in excellent condition for its age. No breaks or cracks, some minor wear and scratches as to be expected on a Lamp this old, some soldering. The nautical lamp has a great brass case with glass panels, handle above the rounded chimney at the top, a reflector/mirror, kerosene well is removable for filling. Up for sale is a Vintage Antique Tung Woo Stern Nautical Maritime Ship Lantern Light. I'm not sure if this is copper or brass or its age. It looks like copper. Lantern is marked"Tung Wood, Hong Kong, Stern" It measures approximately 8 1/2" tall x 4 1/2" wide. Cosmetically, it's in vintage condition(shows some wear, minor dings etc. It could use a good cleaning! There are no chips or cracks in the glass. The lantern has not been tested. Vintage Crouse Hinds Nautical Ship Boat Spot Light, VERY CLEAN!!!
This auction is for the following item: VINTAGE CROUSE HINDS MARINE SEARCHLIGHT-SPOTLIGHT. IT MEASURES 46" IN CIRCUM FERENCE. 14" IN DIAMETER& 14" IN DEPT H. It looks as if it was never used. Or someone before me took really good care of it. It has the old Pyrex Glass Front Cover and a Beautiful almost like new Lens inside. To me it looks as if someone has taken the time to re-wire it and never got a chance to use it. It is an all Aluminum Casing, and the socket looks like New! as you can see in the pictures provided. Star of India Pair Vintage Brass Nautical Electric Ship Lanterns/Lamps
Overview This listing is for a pair of amazing vintage brass ship lamps with plaques engraved"Star of India. The lamps have a front door that you can unclasp and swing right open when you need to change the bulbs. Behind the bulbs is a circular reflector to augment the light. The glass has rectangular lattice and beside the plaques are beautiful spiral reliefs. Operation These lamps run on electricity and you can view the innards in picture 7. The wires go through the hole in the back and connect right to the wall. The lamps switch on and off via a spinning dial on the bottom right. Dimensions and Condition The actual lamps measure 11.5 inches tall. 8.5 inches wide, and 5 inches deep. The stacks on the top add another 5 inches in height. I would say that they are roughly 7 lbs. each. They are in very fine condition. The only flaw is ... moreone small chip in the glass on the bottom of one of the side panels, but this is virtually invisible during display. History I am dubious as to whether these actually came off the Star of India ship. But these are nautical lamps and were probably for maritime use at one point or another. Even if they are not authentic instruments off the Star of India, they are still a beautiful flattery of the world's oldest active sailing ship. The Star of India began in 1863 on a shipyard in the Isle of Man, first named Euterpe. After the Greek goddess of music and poetry. She obtained her present name through her first perilous voyages to India that were afflicted by collision, mutiny, and a cyclone from which she returned to port scathed and downtrodden. She made several more trips to India and was purchased in 1871 by Shaw Savill line of London where she began transporting working class emigrants from England, Ireland, and Scotland, suffering very poor living conditions to prosper in New Zealand.
