This is a very different table lamp I got it at an estate sale I know it is older but not sure of the year. I also don't know if it is factory made or home made. The metal I don't know what it is but its very sturdy. It NEEDS A CLEANING I don't do that I sure don't want to mess anything up.It does sit on a wooden base. Brass Masthead Electric Lantern 14" Nautical Decor Lamp
This heavy and solid brass Masthead lantern is well suited for the boat house. Houseboat, lake house or beach condo. It would look great on the back deck or patio or the perfect complement to any nautical themed room. I found this at an Estate Sale and it was in pitiful shape. Covered in layers of dust and spilled paint and it was heavily tarnished. I have no idea how old it is but judging by the condition in which I found it, I would venture to guess that it is at least several decades old. I completely disassembled and spent over eight hours hand polishing it completely and thoroughly. Every nook and cranny. It is immaculate. I could hardly believe how well it turned out. I converted it to an electric lantern with a 12' cord with an inline switch. If you don't like the light bulb look you can easily remove the light socket and replace ... moreit with a candle or you can buy the lantern oil canister and wick and use it as an oil burning lamp. I think the electric is much cleaner. It is pictured illuminated with a 40W bulb. The silvered brass reflector really puts out the light, this would be best used with a dimmer switch or maybe even a 25W bulb. It is an impressive 14" tall without the handle and 6" wide. Heavy duty cast brass mounting hardware on the back. There are three very small pits in the finish in one small area. As seen in the close up picture. It is hardly noticeable and does not at all take away from the overall look. Sorry. No international shipping.

This is a Vintage Nautical Ship Maritime Red Lens Electric Boat Lamp It does work. The red paint is chipping. The Brass housing for the lamp is not damaged. It is about 9 inches tall and is 5.25 inches across at the bottom. There is no damage to the cord. The bolt top(nut) to a post is missing. It looks like a post has been replaced. Star of India Pair Vintage Brass Nautical Electric Ship Lanterns/Lamps
Overview This listing is for a pair of amazing vintage brass ship lamps with plaques engraved"Star of India. The lamps have a front door that you can unclasp and swing right open when you need to change the bulbs. Behind the bulbs is a circular reflector to augment the light. The glass has rectangular lattice and beside the plaques are beautiful spiral reliefs. Operation These lamps run on electricity and you can view the innards in picture 7. The wires go through the hole in the back and connect right to the wall. The lamps switch on and off via a spinning dial on the bottom right. Dimensions and Condition The actual lamps measure 11.5 inches tall. 8.5 inches wide, and 5 inches deep. The stacks on the top add another 5 inches in height. I would say that they are roughly 7 lbs. each. They are in very fine condition. The only flaw is ... moreone small chip in the glass on the bottom of one of the side panels, but this is virtually invisible during display. History I am dubious as to whether these actually came off the Star of India ship. But these are nautical lamps and were probably for maritime use at one point or another. Even if they are not authentic instruments off the Star of India, they are still a beautiful flattery of the world's oldest active sailing ship. The Star of India began in 1863 on a shipyard in the Isle of Man, first named Euterpe. After the Greek goddess of music and poetry. Old Copper Nautical "Masthead" Light - Electric Wired Hall Light???
This auction is for a copper. Electric wired nautical light marked"Masthead" on the top. It fits flush to the wall from a bracket. The bracket is missing, but it can be purchased at any hardware store. The height of this light is 4 inches. The metal is copper, but there also may be brass and tin. It has an old patina which I did not try to polish. There are remnants of white paint that I also did not try to remove. The back door swings open for easy access to the inside. I think the glass is actually plexiglass. It has been rewired and has a new 15W bulb. It works. I left the wire bare because I think this is a hall light. I know absolutely nothing about this little treasure, but it appears to be old and authentic. Up for auction is a vintage antique signed Perko nautical maritime chrome plated oil lamp recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good used condition, but is missing parts such as the bracket, wick and glass chimney. The base is signed"Perko" Someone wrote the word"Dee" in red on the base too. Both are best seen in photo#5. This lamp is weighted so when hung, it will maintain in an upright position. The base has an approximate diameter of 2 3/4" and measures approximately 6 1/4' in size. The chrome has some pitting and staining. The name of the burner is difficult to make out, but might be original to the piece. A nice decorative accessory as is. Rare antique copper and brass ships lantern from the south Texas coast. Lantern is an ANCHOR brand made by W.T. GEORGE Co. Ltd. Sherlock Street, Birmingham 5. The main body measures 14 inches tall by 10 inches across. Has both an upper and lower arm to allow it to swing with the ships movement. It was electrified several with 16/3 wiring but it does not light up at this time. Pops a breaker so it it probably in the on/off switch built into the long electrical cord. Super conversation piece for that man cave.

Up for auction to U.S. customers only is an old ship's light with Fresnel glass(no chips or cracks to glass) It stands 15 inches tall and the wire cage is 8 inches across. I am not sure if the primary metal is brass. Copper or bronze- or a combination-but a magnet doesn't stick to it. It is very heavy. It is made by Oakford. There is a light bulb socket inside but it probably isn't original and, without the cord plug, I can't test it. If it was originally electric powered, then the wire outlet on the side looks like it held a much larger power cord. The lid screws onto the top for access to the inside. I'm not sure how it was used on board the vessel- some other listings refer to it as a mast light, others describe it for use on dock pilings, others say it lit the passageways on the ship. If anyone knows for sure, let ... moreme know and I'll add it to the listing. Overall it seems in very good condition with a few relatively minor scratches to the lower finish and, of course, the green discoloration which some people call patina and want it left on the piece so I didn't try to clean up that section(new owner can do that) I don't know anything else about this item so please ask questions. Vintage Rare Adlake Maritime Nautical Aluminum Electric Bridge Lamp No 1335. It has the red and green 60° draw span. Two green lenses and two red lenses 90° apart. The top and bottom caps are made of aluminum the bolts and stretchers between the lenses are made of cast-iron. It is electrified and it does work but I would recommend rewiring it just to be on the safe side. There is some rust and paint loss and it needs to be cleaned. The lenses are thick and heavy, made by Corning. The lenses have some chips but they are not cracked. It is about 11 1/2 inches tall and 8 1/2 inches wide. Up for auction is an original George Carpenter& Co Solid Brass Nautical Lantern With Glass Working. This is an original early 1900's Nautical Lantern. Originally this lamp was probably carried on the deck of a ship as it has a handle for carrying. It was also probably an oil lamp converted to electric at a later date. The lamp works perfectly well with the socket. Has a nice warm glow that radiates from behind the glass. It is approximately 10 inches tall and about 4" inches wide. The brass still has its original aged patina and has not been cleaned. It may have also at one time had a bottom piece that held oil. The glass itself has a few chips in it and a crack but most assuredly isn't going to break in the near future as it's extremely thick. Rare Extra Large 20" Ankerlight Copper Nautical Ships Lantern Converted Electric
This is an extremely rare very large nautical lantern by Ankerlight. It is about 20" with the handle up and 18" with it down. Every other one that I have seen is between 11"14" TALL. From research the time period this was made was likely in the 1920's-30's. Please refer to the pictures as this is in fantastic condition considering its age.
