These lanterns light up a room with an exquisite glow that cannot be replicated. The lamp has a beautiful patina on it and we'll leave it to the new owner on whether to polish or leave as is. You are bidding on this nice Vintage Marine Lantern that has been converted into a hanging outdoor light. Possibly Triplex but no marking. Appears to be brass, I have not polished or scratch tested. The electric cord needs to be replaced. No cracks or chips in the lens, no dents and cage is complete and intact. Bottom is open for light. There are a couple of paint drips on it, see photos. Sitting this in front of a window it looks like the light is turned on- This piece is Very heavy with the brass construction- embossed 9-S-4461-L on top. There is some patina and light scratches on cast bronze brass housing-looking down into center of lens glass. Part of the electrical cord remains inside- This piece sits on a wood blog base with the cord that enters the bottom of lantern and runs thru the center of wood block base that measures 9" x 9 1/2" This Fresnel lantern light overall height is 7 1/2" sitting on wood block and weighs more than 13 lbs. This red glass lantern has Fresnel lens all-round lantern with protective brass bars and bronze screw on top. Vintage Large Electric Perko Marine Lamp Lantern Was told this is a WWII bow Convoy lamp. The deep purple glass was used as a very short range lamp so as to avoid U-boats from detecting them. It is in very good condition for its age. There are no chips or cracks in glass. Has a screw off top. There are a few minor dings on the top, but overall, it is in very good condition. Really cool Perko marine cabin lanterns. These are manufactured to function either as oil or electrical lighting. They are like new condition. Never been utilized, but stored for years. They are solid brass, 8 3/4" tall(not including top ring) and 4 1/2" in dia. at the base. Time has toned the brass down to an even, lightly darker patina. The electric light receptacle is for a double contact bayonet type bulb. OLD MARINE CABIN LANTERN ELECTRIC CONVERSION
Great marine cabin lamp. Clear glass lantern. This lamp has a real nice dark patina. The lamp has been converted to electric with a standard ceramic base 110V light fixture at the top end. The lamp is 10" tall with a 4 1/2" diameter base. It weighs 2 lbs. Wire pigtails are 12" long. The photos are a true reflection of the coloring. I cannot find a makers mark. Material could be copper, not sure. There are no dings or dents and no cracks in the glass. This is a great nautical theme lamp. Thanks for looking here.

Vintage Marine Electric Towing Light Yellow Lens. Aluminum.
This is a vintage marine electric towing light with yellow lens. The housing appears to be aluminum. I found this cleaning out a garage next to the Ohio river. It was explained to me that it was used as a towing light on the barges moving coal. I was going to rewire and use it as a light but it is nearly 10 yrs now so it is time to let it go. I can see the bulb inside the lens but since I have not rewired it. I don't know if the filament is still intact. I prefer to ship UPS. Thank you.

Antique Perko Marine Electric Lamp/Lantern Red
This antique lamp is in excellent condition for its age! The glass cover is still very clean and free of chips/cracks. The housing is a bit worn. And a little rusted, but other than that it's great. Pictured on the bottom is where the wire was connected, but has since been cut. It's an amazing piece for any collection, or just as a very, very cool piece of antique decor.

2 MATCHING PERKO MARINE LAMPS These two matching Perko lamps were the running lights of a Chesapeake Bay Bugeye(the Richard J. Vetra) in the 1930's. They are in good condition and measure approx. 8" high and 5.5" on each side and 8" across the top. The lamps are brass with glass lenses- red and green. The Perko stamp is on a back panel. Though hard to read. The lamps open by sliding down a back panel. The electrical connection has a brass cover and chain. There are no cracks or chips in the heavy glass. The brass cases have age-related dust, a few dents, some oxidation inside, scratches and scuffing. Power cords are cut and may need to be replaced. Please email with any questions. PERKO Hanging Electric Lamp / Marine Fixture #1024 - Ship Oil Lantern Style
PLEASE READ. I HAVE DESCRIBED THIS ITEM TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE. BUT I AM NOT AN EXPERT. PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS PRIOR TO PURCHASE. Some people convert Perko oil lamps into electric lamps. But thanks to the picture on the box, I know that this was never an oil lamp. This was an actual electric lamp that was manufactured and sold by Perko, and it was intended to be used inside the home. It is hard to read, but it looks like 1972 is the postmark date on the box. I have had this Perko hanging electric lamp for over a year now. And in that time, I haven't been able to find out anything about it. I haven't even been able to find a picture of another one online. If it weren't for the original shipping box, I wouldn't know anything about it at all. This lamp has some minor straches. But no dings or dents that I can see. The ... moreglass appears to be crack and chip free. I'm not sure if the lamp currently works, but it would be best to have it serviced and/or re-wired regardless. It is about 21" long(not including the length of the chain) weights around 10-12 lbs and it is made of solid brass. The patina is natural; not fake.

2 ANTIQUE BRASS SHIP MARINE NAUTICAL LANTERNS ELECTRIC LAMP BIRDCAGE PERKINS
I apologize for the length but I wanted to be thorough. Up for sale are two antique nautical oil lanterns that were converted for electrical use. After some Internet research I found a match for these lanterns. They are not stamped but identically match the Perkins Marine Lamp Corporation models made during 1916 to 1931. These were considered a"standing light" and were used aboard US Naval torpedo boats. Battle ships and destroyers of the WW1 era, according to"Lanterns That Lit Our World" book 2 page 120 by Anthony Hobson. Size is 17.5 inches tall and about 9 pounds each. These may or may not have been used in that capacity but they due seem genuine even thought they are not stamped with a company name. In any case as you can see one is red and the other is green. The coloring does not seem to be original according to ... morethe research but you can decide whether to keep it that way or remove the paint. Both lanterns have colored bulbs that will come with this auction. Condition The paint on the red lantern is about 50% missing. It was difficult to get a good picture that represented how the red lantern looks with the bulb on. But there is a picture taken from inside the glass to show the condition of the paint. The red lantern also has 3 vertical seams and do not appear to be cracks. I believe the glass was replaced when they were converted since the lines are straight and do not appear to be damage related. The red lantern also has two screws in the bottom, see pic, to hold the bulb/lantern housing in place. The green lantern has a dent in the top, see pic. The"hanging hooks" are a bit out of square as seen in the pictures. I have not found any cracks or holes in the brass housing that should not be there. Both lights have pull strings to turn lights on and off without unplugging. Both have old two prong style plugs. The oil lamp bases are original aside from the electrical retrofitting that took place. There is some soldering and repair work on bulb housing but it cant be seen unless yo
