VINTAGE MARINE LAMP BY PERKINS MARINE HARDWARE (PERKO)
Wonderful old marine lantern from an estate along the Ohio River. No dents or scratches and an excellent fresnel lens. The lamp seems to be original. It stands 9" tall and 7" in diameter. The body is copper and has a small brass makers tag on the bottom edge. Lamp weighs about 5# This is called a dock light and is missing a battery box which attaches to the bottom. I have lowered my asking price to reflect this. Would still make a great light or display piece.

PERCO Perkins Marine Lamp & Hardware Co Electrified Early to Mid 1900's Design!
This is a really interesting Nautical piece the company has been making them since the 1930's. They made this particular one in the 1960's. It's a large piece and is approximately( 12 pounds) it's 15 3/4" H by 9 3/4" D Marine Lamp that has been electrified. I tried to show it in the last photo, but, it was outdoors so it doesn't show up or glow the same way that it does indoors, but, it works. It has an opaque ribbed glass lens on the front with 10 ribbed sections and a center band thats convex shaped that is 2" W. The Perkins fixed metal label is on the front and it says PEKO#1 Marine Lamp Hardware Corporation. This piece has been repainted silver back in the day. The top looks like cast brass or bronze, I am no expert, so, I am stating what I see. The plug is a 3 prong. My research shows these were mounted ... moreoutside the Pilot House on Vessels back in the day, the electrified feature gives it more versatility for use in a home or nautical setting. This is a very old piece, shows wear& tear, the ribbed glass has some damage that looks like a pebbled effect on the right side, what caused this, I have no idea. Perko Perkins Marine Lamp and Hardware Flashlight boat light, Antique brass old
It's a antique Perko flashlight boat light. Measures 14" tall. Would clamp onto any boat or dingy. The only damage is in pic#5. It has some cracking in thread area. So if you put batteries in it, it pops open because threads won't give a firm fit. No corrosion, and takes batteries. Lights nicely, see pic#10. Looks brass and tin. Has the Perko logo on it in last pic. Pat. dated Dec. 20 1921. Any questions, fell free to ask!

Very neat piece of maritime lighting. We believe the red on the lens is flashed on. Versus going all the way through the glass as a few small pieces have peeled off. Years of being in the salt air have weathered the metal to a beautiful patina.

Great Pair Large WW2 Perkins Perko Marine & Hardware Lamp Co. Port & Starboard
Great Pair Large WW2 Perkins Perko Marine& Hardware Lamp Co. Port& Starboard This is a great pair of large Perko WW2 Ships Port& Starboard lamps as shown. These came from an estate here in Slocum. RI, and they were mounted on a U.S. ship that a member of the family was employed on during the war. I cannot verify this, just going by what I was told. Anyway, they have been electrified some time ago, and they are wired together so they both light together. They are quite large, measuring 22" tall, x 10" x 10" x 15" from point to point of the front rounded part. There is a small chip on the bottom edge of the red lense, although the picture makes it look a lot bigger. No cracks or hairlines on either lense. Both lenses are quite heavy duty glass, and look great lit up. Shipping weight will be about 30-lbs.

It is missing the globe and wick, but appears otherwise complete. The outside of lantern is in great shape for age with minimal imperfections that only add to the character of the piece. Large beautiful solid Brass ship lantern with perkins marine lamp co on plate. The lantern is in excellent condition with no cracks in the glass. I don't know much about this lamp as it was given to me as a gift many years ago. Would be an excellent piece to a collection.

This listing is for a large solid brass ship's lantern marked"PERKINS MARINE LAMP& HDWE CORP. It measures approximately 14-3/4" tall(excluding handle) and has a base diameter of 7-1/8" The lantern has been painted black over the brass which shows through in several places(see photos) The lantern is an estate find and we do not know if the paint is original. The high quality of the paint job prompts us to wonder. The glass globe has no cracks in it and the original tank plug is present. The glass is marked Perko 31-L-17A. The oil burner is missing. The lantern takes an oil burner with a 1-3/16 ID thread. There are some minor dings and dents in the lantern as well as a small split in the cap where it joins with the glass globe(see photos) There are no repairs and the split does not affect the integrity of the cap.
