There is some patina and light scratches on cast bronze brass housing-looking down into center of lens glass. Part of the electrical cord remains inside- This piece sits on a wood blog base with the cord that enters the bottom of lantern and runs thru the center of wood block base that measures 9" x 9 1/2" This Fresnel lantern light overall height is 7 1/2" sitting on wood block and weighs more than 13 lbs. This red glass lantern has Fresnel lens all-round lantern with protective brass bars and bronze screw on top. Good vintage condition; no dents in the brass and only a couple small sliver chips on a couple of louvers of red fresnel glass; The brass lid is a bit tight for me to screw on and off using a wrench. This piece was made to use as a table light- with outlet cord and plug that looks older. Plugs in fine and needs a bulb- but I could not open top with bolts- my hands were not strong enough to turn wrench. It likely needs a small bulb and would work fine. Tried to scratch through the coating and it does NOT seem to be bronze. Yes. patina and silver paint of the past. 13" Bottom flange to the top. 4"5/8" Dia across cap not including the spots of the bolts. 9-S-4326-L Number on lid. Looks to be made of aluminum. Added 4 pictures of the lens. For you to check out. Clear lens looks to be in really good condition. No cracks that we can see. Red lens has a crack in it and no chips just the crack. Picture of it added. Did not unbolt it. Each lens may be about 4"1/4" to 4"3/8" Dia. And about 4"3/16" tall. That is a close estimate of size. Again we did not take it apart. Vintage Bronze Ship's Navigation Light , needs lights
Heavy bronze casing for ship's light. No wiring. Or lens is with this. From the front this measures 5" high where the lens would fit. 6" wide. Apprx 8-1/4" from the bottom of the front to the back. This has a number embossed on the inner case. 9737. There is a symbol above it in the shape of a shield but I am unable to see the symbol inside the shield. The weight is apprx 7 pounds. Where the 3 screw holes are seen on the inside. 1 is opened but the other 2 look like they have a screw that possibly was cut off? see the last picture) Shows some wear& needs a polishing.

Huge Maritime Navigation Lamp(copper w/brass fittings for connection to poles) I have no idea where this is from- I am guessing that it is from Japan. But have no way to confirm. Measurement to the top of the handle is 24. The box itself is about 10" wide, but is about 14" because of the brass fittings. There is a small hole in the karosine tank. The only marking that is distinguishable to me is the Seahorse 3 on the side of the lantern and the No. 3226 on the copper. I really don't know the history of this piece. I am selling it for a friend who got it from a lady whose husband was in the Air Force(post WWII) He was a pilot and always brought things home. This was given to my friend by this lady. First is that it was used on a railway train lantern or train bridge signal light. They other response I got was that it was a ship's signal light or used for navigation through fog. This light measures just over 9 inches tall and is about 7 inches wide. The base has four mount legs. All new USA wiring and bulb socket that is marked UL has been installed. Lantern lights are numbered and have matching numbered internal oil burning lamp. Each piece of the lantern light and lamp set is affixed with a brass number plate. Here is an absolutely stunning and very rare example of an early. Solid brass, candle powered ship's navigation lantern. Though one in this price range isn't for everyone, it is for the serious collector. Circa late 1800's to very early 1900's. This style of lantern was also often used as a Lighthouse Keepers Stairwell or Passageway Light. As it was made by the famous lighthouse Fresnel Makers- Barbier Benard& Turenne of Paris, it seems only fitting. The lantern has a plate on the front of it's lighthouse style body, that names this maker. It is made of highly polished solid brass. And is 7.5" wide, 16.5" w/o bales extended and 26" with bales extended. It is a fairly large lantern. It is fitted with the original lens, which in made of red glass shaped to look like a lighthouse and made of high quality ... moreglass. The globe is in excellent condition showing no chips or cracks. As for the inner workings of the lantern. As the candle burns a brass spring slowly pushes it up in order to keep the flame at a constant level. A candle is included. Up for auction is a vintage boating warning light recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good used condition. I am unable to test this to see if it is operational or not, but certainly could be made to work. This light has a tear drop shape and would be mounted in the bow to determine port or starboard sides. It is consistent with 1950-60's era boats. This light would be great for reuse or as a nautical decorative accessory. There is pitting and paint on the chrome surface, as seen in the photos. The lens appears to be plastic. It has a nice deco appearance. I cannot find any markings or numbers. This light measures approximately 3 7/8" x 6 1/4" x 3 14" in size. A nice maritime piece. Vintage marine ship’s iron navigation light. 180 degree clear glass Fresnel lens Navy? WWII? I picked this up at an estate sale and planned to use it as yard lighting. Turned out it did not fit the landscape plan. This is a large ships navigation light. Either for the stern(showing white two points abaft of the beam, starboard and port) or masthead light(forward, showing two points abaft of beam, both starboard and port) This shows a bit of light surface rust in spots. The result of years at sea. There is no internal mounting or wiring for a bulb, but that could be easily designed and installed. The gasket around the hinged lid is missing, but could ... morebe replaced with some type of weather-stripping. There are two small chips in the Fresnel lens, as shown in the photo. These should not affect the durability of the lens. You can see the imperfections in the lens from the glass casting process, as sign of its age. This stands 11 ½ inches tall. 8 inches in diameter(across) 9 inches across the top latch and hinge. The Fresnel lens is full width and 7 inches high. The base is round with“bayonet” mounting slots and is 5 ¾ inches outside and 5 3/16 inch inside diameter. The lid is held closed by a hinge on one side and thumb bolt on the other. The lid swings open freely. This is how I found it, I only cleaned the lens to confirm no other damage. I put a light inside it to show what it looks like illuminated for the pictures. The light does not come with this piece of marine hardware. As many ships navigation lights are made of brass or bronze. I can’t help to wonder if this was from a WWII ship, a time when these metals were in short supply and needed for munitions manufacture for the war effort. HUGE 19" KILBORN SAUER CO. Nautical Ship navigation Light Lantern Antique
This is a HUGE antique ship navigation light. I have never seen one this large. It weighs over 17 lbs and measures 24"including the handle. The bottom plate is missing. The globe is red and is stamped and made by Perko so I think just the glass was made by them. Im not sure if this has the original wiring or if it was rewired for personal use there is a light bulb inside that hangs from the top. The bulb and wires can be easily removed.

Old Vintage Meritime Ship Navigation Lights Kerosene
22" high including mounting hardware. 9" at widest point and 7" base. Kerosene lamp base fits in either lamp. Do not know the age or origin of these Navigation lights but because I live in Oregon I am presuming that they were used on one of the steam packets plying the Columbia or Willamette Rivers before the use of electric lights. NAUTICAL Marine Navigation BRASS PORT LANTERN LIGHT RED GLASS Hanging Ship Boat
Up for sale is a very old Nautical Maritime Navigation Brass PORT Lantern/Light. Let me start by saying I do not know what I have here; it is old. Weathered and has some rust and oxidizing on the lantern. The top hanging part is loose as screws not secure in the back of it. I believe it is copper and or brass. I do not see any name on the lantern. There are no dents on the lantern. Front screw opening. The front has the word PORT. The light is heavy red glass. Not plastic. There is no interior piece that lights the lantern. The glass has come loose and the metal frame has separated in the corner but all of this can be fixed. Could use a cleaning/polishing. For its age. It is in very good condition.
