Here is a D.H.R. Dean Haan of Rotterdam. The lantern is brass. Not polished, has patina. On the bottom is the makers mark, Made in Holland. On either side it is embossed with a windmill. The lantern stands about 11" and 5 1/4" wide. On the back is a key hole notch for hanging. The wick is still intact and the turn knob works. The glass chimney is about 10 1/4" tall and the base is 2" wide. On the chimney is written cristal Prima. There are some spots of tarnish and a small scuff in the front. Otherwise, in good condition. They are solid brass, 8 3/4" tall(not including top ring) and 4 1/2" in dia. at the base. Time has toned the brass down to an even, lightly darker patina. The electric light receptacle is for a double contact bayonet type bulb. Antique Sailing Ship's Cabin Oil Lantern on Gimble with Wick & Hurricane Globe
This is a small sailing ship cabin copper/brass oil lamp with glass hurricane globe mounted in a gimble for full motion on a rolling vessel. I have no idea of it's exact age but likely from the late 19th century. It's tarnished and I haven't attempted to clean it up. It measures approximately 7 1/2/ H by 3 1/2" W and would stand away from a ships bulkhead approximately 4 1/2" and weighs approximately 1 pound. It has the glass hurricane globe intact as well as a frabric wick so all you would need to do is fill it with keroscene(or whale oil? and light it up. Wonderful old lamp from the days of sail. 1983 main cabin oil lantern
This lantern came off a 1983 Panda 38 sailboat. It has a copper fuel tank with brass shade which you can see from the picture is severely discolored. The under side of the shade is painted white.

THE MEASUREMENTS ARE 20 1/2" TALL to the top of the handle. 9" WIDE AND 7 1/2" DEEP. IT IS IN NICE CONDITION, NO CRACKS TO THE GLASS, BUT IS MISSING THE FRONT GLASS AND THE GLOBE. THE BRASS TAG READS"CABIN LIGHT OIL USE DATE 1173144 NO# 81137 MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN. I have another one listed that was made on the same date, different number. 1914 Bulpitt& Sons Cabin Passageway Brass Ships Oil Lantern This is an authentic rare Ships cabin or passageway oil lantern marked 1914 Bulpitt& Sons Birmingham. All complete and original with a working burner. There is a slight dent in the top right side. Can easily be removed. Beautiful patina. It also has a white porcelain background to enhance the light. This Vintage Brass Gimbal Oil Cabin Lamp was manufactured by Sherwoods LTD. of Birmingham. England, in the early 1900′s. Sherwoods was one of the largest manufacturers of new lighting devices in England, producing oil lamps, lanterns, and burners. They went into business in 1902, but unfortunately went out of business in 1932. Cabin oil lamp with smoke Bell W/Bracket, Shade, wick, Gimbal mount and glass chimney. The lamp has a heavy weighted bottom. Lamp with Chimney is 16 1/4" Tall.This has been in my collection for 40 years.
