Well designed for interior or exterior use. Each light weighs over 6 pounds. From the top of the wall mount to the the bottom of the globe cage. Each light measures about 10 inches tall. When mounted to the wall the light will extend out from the wall by about 6 1/2 inches. The wall mount measures ... more4 inches wide and has four mount holes. The brass cage spins on and off to give access to the undamaged glass globe. The glass globe also spins on and off to give access to the bulb holder. The globes are true red and green glass, not clear glass with paint. We have installed new bulb holders in each light. The bulb holder and new wiring was made by Westinghouse electric and is stamped"UL LISTED" The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 65 watts or less. The wiring and bulb holder will work with any voltage under 250 volts. If your project calls for clear globes for this light, we will change out the red and green glass for clear globes for no charge. Pair Vintage Copper Brass NEPTUNE NR Ship Lantern Lamp Nautical Maritime Cage NR
This auction is for a pair of vintage NEPTUNE NR copper and brass ship oil lamp lanterns. These lamps are in EXCELLENT estate found condition with a stunning and even patina. They are beautifully crafted from copper and brass and secured with a chain and hook in the front. These lanterns both have a badge at the top with the Neptune hallmark and NR. All of the glass is in beautiful condition(with the exception of some dust from being displayed) The globe inside is also in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The oil lamp inside is secured to a metal wire that stays in place by sliding down two opposing corners inside. And sits very securely inside with no wobble. I do not know the age of the lanterns, and have seen only a few similar, but most of then have all brass cages(die to the reddish tint I do believe this is mostly copper) ... moreor have been polished. None have been found also with this exact badge in the same place and this stunning copper patina with the reddish copper undertones that almost glow through. This has not been cleaned or polished, but I'm sure would polish up nicely if the buyer wishes to do so. Each lantern stands 15"high without handle, and 17 1/2" tall with handle, by approx 7"wide. Those would truly make an excellent display piece or addition to any collection. Please see pictures for more details and feel free to ask questions. Pair Large Solid Brass Marine Nautical Signal Lights Boat Lanterns Lamp
These are a great pair of Marine Nautical Lights. They are solid brass with heavy ribbed glass shades. They have been rewired and are in working condition. One of the lights has its original red insert so it can be used as a signal light. The 1st picture shows the lights with the red insert in one and a green light bulb in the second one if you wanted to use these that way. Or you can take out the red insert and have both lights clear as in the 2nd picture. Or put in any color bulb you choose. The lights are very heavy. The one with the insert is about 15 lbs and the other 13.5 lbs. These lanterns have handles that you can use to hang them or just for carrying. One of the lanterns has a little more copper tone to it then the other one and has 3 little feet to attach to a deck. The tops can be removed or slid to the side with the screws on ... morethe top to replace the lightbulbs. The globes are marked with a makers name. One of the shades has 2 small internal fissures at the bottom of the globe but they don't go all the way through the glass. This quality pair of nautical Lamps is about 11 in. high with a 6 in. diameter body plus the brackets. I am selling two lamps. Two wall brackets, and two shade rings. No shades or chimneys. The lamp bottoms are weighted to work with the Gimbal Rings to keep them level. They are in good condition with no breaks or cracks. Star of India Pair Vintage Brass Nautical Electric Ship Lanterns/Lamps
Overview This listing is for a pair of amazing vintage brass ship lamps with plaques engraved"Star of India. The lamps have a front door that you can unclasp and swing right open when you need to change the bulbs. Behind the bulbs is a circular reflector to augment the light. The glass has rectangular lattice and beside the plaques are beautiful spiral reliefs. Operation These lamps run on electricity and you can view the innards in picture 7. The wires go through the hole in the back and connect right to the wall. The lamps switch on and off via a spinning dial on the bottom right. Dimensions and Condition The actual lamps measure 11.5 inches tall. 8.5 inches wide, and 5 inches deep. The stacks on the top add another 5 inches in height. I would say that they are roughly 7 lbs. each. They are in very fine condition. History I am dubious as to whether these actually came off the Star of India ship. But these are nautical lamps and were probably for maritime use at one point or another. Rare American Pair of Nautical Wm. Porter's Sons Lamps, c.1860
You are bidding on a matched pair of galvanized nautical running lamps manufactured by Wm. Porter's Sons. 271 Pearl St. NY c. 1860. These lamps are very well preserved. Original curved lens glass is perfect with no chips nor cracks and are framed in hand soldered copper. The interior floor has cleats to hold oil lamps(no longer with lanterns) All hinges and fasteners are hand soldered copper. Are intact and in perfect working order. The lamps' chimney caps are brass and include top rings that are usually missing on lamps of this era. It is rare that lamps c.1860 survive as a pair and in this collectible condition. Lamps measure approx. 14" high to top of ring and approx. 9" wide. Corner to corner.

They are solid copper with glass lenses and appear to be very nice quality lamps. We believe that these were made in the 1960's era as replacements for the original antique lamps. I would imagine that they were very expensive to purchase when new. They measure 9 1/2 inches tall" not counting the bail handle" by about 6 inches wide. Up for sale is a beautiful pair of old brass maritime oil lantern that is signed"Wedge. These are really fine old lanterns. And very well made. The rivets are copper. There is glass on all four sides behind the grates. One side is a door that opens via a little latch. This lantern measures about 15" tall by 6 3/4" by 6 3/4" with the handle up they measure 22 1/2" The brass has a beautiful, aged patina and the glass is free of any chips or cracks. Tung Woo Nautical Lanterns Copper-plated Starboard Port Pair Single-wick Decor Free Shipping This pair of lanterns from the famous Tung Woo maker were designed to illuminate the boats in the river or Hong Kong Harbor. These lamps were originally filled with oil. Lit and placed on each side of the vessel to prevent collisions in the waterways. Each is about nine(9) inches tall, five(5) inches deep. And six(6) inches wide. Each weighs about one pound. The rounded dome-shaped front has colored glass. While the back ends in a triangular corner to aide in directing the light outward. The different color glass in each lantern identifies which side the other boat is approaching-starboard is port wine red. Port is deep blue. That way. This pair aides in the decision making that others have to make to navigate around the owner of the that lantern. ... moreOne can see in the first picture in the gallery that the tops are stovepipe-s haped. And have handles. A widgit on the edge of the top keeps it secure and down; it needs to be released in order to flip open that stovepipe top. The copper patina is stunning on each navigational lantern. Raised letters identifies one as"Starboard" for the right side. And other as"Port" for the left side. They are in excellent condition. As they have been used as part of decor on the family fishing boat. The only blemishes are two small bumps on the Port front, and some drip trails, from oil probably. These marks only add to the authenticity of these beautiful accent pieces. They could be placed on a shelf, hung from the top handle, or mounted as wall sconces from the hook on the back as shown in the second photo. That same photo shows the oil container. Wick holder and reflector that is housed inside each lantern. This inner metal housing is stabilized by a rail. But slides out easily for filling.
