Up for auction is a Very Rare Antique Perko Purple Glass Nautical Light. This was found recently at an estate sale on the coast of Maine. In doing my research on this item I have determined that this is a rare light. This would be a fantastic centerpiece to any room and can easily become a functional light. VINTAGE MARINE LAMP BY PERKINS MARINE HARDWARE (PERKO)
Wonderful old marine lantern from an estate along the Ohio River. No dents or scratches and an excellent fresnel lens. The lamp seems to be original. It stands 9" tall and 7" in diameter. The body is copper and has a small brass makers tag on the bottom edge. Lamp weighs about 5# This is called a dock light and is missing a battery box which attaches to the bottom. I have lowered my asking price to reflect this. Would still make a great light or display piece.

ANTIQUE PERKO MASTHEAD SHIPS MARINE LANTERN LAMP SMALL OIL LAMP FRESNEL LENSE For your consideration is this Antique Perko Ships Lantern. This lantern has been converted from oil to electric. There is a dent on the bottom edge. This has made it out of round& where the insert only lines up in one position. One of the locking wires has come disconnected but is still present& included. Clear perko Fresnel lens in great condition with no cracks. This lens is a full cylinder. This lantern is just over 6" tall and is 4.25" across the b ottom. I have made no attempts to polish or repair this lamp. This is the condition i found it in. This piece will make a great little project for someone who likes to tinker with things. Or just leave it the way it is, as it's still charming!

Up for auction is this old P ERKO ships lamp. It must be the largest lamp made by Perko. It stands an impressive 2 4" tall. With handle raised. M easures 11 1/2" wide and 9 1/2" deep. This could have been a cargo lamp. Steaming l ight. Anchor light, or a stern light. Not really sure. Somewhere on it's journey it was electrified and has a bulb inside and the burner is not present. It has a thick Fresnel lens that is turning purpl e with age and it has a crack in it that is stable. Doesn't detract much from the old lamp. Still displays beautifull y.With a r ich patina that adds to the salty character. This Perko lamp was made in Brooklyn. New York a long time ago and after being at sea for many years. This is a super ugly Perko ships mast or stern light we found at an estate sale. The lense is the only beautiful thing with this lamp. The body is all but destroyed but the lense is a great sun turned lavender color. Pics show color well! It measures approx. 10 inches tall and 5 wide. No electrical parts left. This is a vintage boat lamp from a local estate. It is a Perkins Marine Lamp and Hardware Corp. Perko) RED boat light. Lens is in great condition. Lamp can be repainted to look as new if the buyer so desires. It's a beauty. Please check my other listing for another vintage PERKO boat lamp. DIMENSIONS Height = 11.5 inches Width = 10.5 inches Sides = 8 inches Weight = 6 lbs 3.2 oz The bottom cap opens and closes. Very solid. Plenty of character. It is fairly weathered and has some rust on the inside. But it looks really cool. Also, there is a small crack on the top in the front(you can see it in the first photo) Light/ Lamp is not included. It is approximately 12" tall, 6.5" wide and 5" deep. It weighs 2.5 pounds. This is an antique globe lantern with globe red glass. Measures 15.75" tall x 9 1/2" across. The beautiful red glass that appears to be hand blown reads"Perkins 10" Frederick Perkins founded the Perkins Marine Lamp Company in the late 1800's in Brooklyn. His lamps were hand formed and soldered from brass. Copper and galvanized steel. About 1922, the trademark name PERKO was introduced and their products were marked with PERKO instead of PERKINS. For sale is a"PERKO" brand glass globe for some sort of nautical light or lamp. It is light purple/amethyst in color and is marked"PAT. PEND" in tiny letters on the side. It measures about 2 3/4" tall. The diameter of the bottom is about 1 7/8" and this is the outside measurement of the very bottom edge. The globe is in very nice shape with no damage and just slight wear. The glass is ever so slightly cloudy on the inside but perhaps this can be polished away? It looks as though it was dropped on the side and sort of pushed in the side of the bottom. Not sure about the fixture inside, don't know if that is original. California which is, in tonage, the 4th busiest port on the West Coast. In the early days of California Stockton was the hub. Many regarded Stockton as the in-land San Francisco. It was a rough place and full of vice. Many different forms of boats and ships from sailing vessels to large paddlewheelers made their way to Stockton bringing people and goods. During WWII there were no less than two shipyards making destroyers, balloon barges and tugs for the U.S. Navy. Stockton was also home to the Stephen's Bros. Boat Builders from 1902 to 1987. This auction is for a rare and unique maritime lantern made by Perko with its original Dietz burner. It measures 8-1/2 inches tall. Is 5 inches wide across the back, 3 inches wide across the front, and is 4-3/8 inches deep. It has a flat back so that it can be mounted on a wall. It has one flaw, the latch for the door in back is broken. It is otherwise in excellent condition with no significant cracks, dents or breaks. The tri-colored original bullet lens glass is still in excellent condition. This is the one you want to complete your collection, so don't let this rare lantern get away! Richards Estate Sale Perko Boat Signal This is an amazing piece from maritime history. This piece was made by Perko(Perkins) and has really withstood the test of time. Unlike many of these lanterns this one still has the original Perko lamp inside as shown in pictures. The sliding hatch mechanism still works on this piece. It was used as a display piece in the house and they had a screw in the base of the signal to hold the sliding hatch open. This is the most complete piece of this kind that we have seen on eBay and a great addition to all maritime collectors. It includes the kerosene Lamp Light container, but is missing the interior reflector,and does have a 1/2 inch occlusion in the lense. Vintage Perko De-Lite Ship's Running Lamp - Port Starboard Combination
This is a vintage Perko De-Lite running lamp with red and green ribbed glass. It has a dividing plate between the port and starboard lenses. Inside there is a brass oil lantern- in very good condition- minimal interior rust- made by Simplex. It still has the wick- also in good condition. Behind the oil lantern there is a socket for a light bulb(6 or maybe 12 volt) The access doors are brass- the body is galvanized. The ring at the top does move easily- latches on doors also work great. Measurements approx. 5" wide x 5" deep x 9 1/2" tall- not including divider on the front or ring on top- just lamp itself. Perko De-lite Bow Light, brass maritime oil lamp
Weather-bronzed’ Perko De-lite Bow lantern. Oil-burning allbrass lamp with glass lens, 12.25” tall. This model was carried for quite along time by Perkins Marine, This particular lamp was made in the late 1930s(1934 and earlier models has two brass safety bars protecting the lens, whichwas removed from all models by 1939, per the Perko catalogs) Based on estimatesof the Perko stamp in back, it may have been made in the 1940s– 50s. The oil fount was drilled out and electrified. And promptlyrestored to oil burning capability once I acquired it over two years ago. Alsorepaired was lower brass band that holds the lens in place. Other damage fromits years of use including a wire hole in the top and some twisted metal by thevent holes in the back. Page scans are from the 1939 Perko Catalog.

The brass/ copper fixture and threaded globe holder shows some minor wear and aging/ patina to the finish. The spring action is strong inside the lamp socket. The globe/ shade threads on and off fixture base properly. It's a antique Perko flashlight boat light. Measures 14" tall. Would clamp onto any boat or dingy. The only damage is in pic#5. It has some cracking in thread area. So if you put batteries in it, it pops open because threads won't give a firm fit. No corrosion, and takes batteries. Lights nicely, see pic#10. Looks brass and tin.
