Maritime Navigational Lanterns.The main housing is constructed of galvanized iron and ... morethe top cover is copper. However they have not been shined up. The original manufacturer was Wilcox& Crittenden& Co. There trademark was Capital W with a Capital C embossed on top of one another. The factory was in Middletown, CONN. USA. There is a photo of the Logo which appears to be embossed on brass, it is on the side, located on top of a metal sleeve, which is riveted on the lantern itself. This sleeve must have been used to slip over something to hold it secure to the ship. Both sleeves are intact and extremely secure. This embossing is very difficult to capture in a photo as the glare, and clarity of a photo so close. The lanterns stand just shy of 13" tall with the hanging loop standing up. They are made to fit in a corner. The sides measure 5" With the front curving around to meet the 2 sides. The glass itself is 5" tall and is almost 90 degrees. One lantern has fresnel green glass for the starboard, and the lantern with the fresnel red glass is for the port. The glass on both lanterns is in very good shape and have no cracks or chips. The metal round accesses to the oil chambers/wicks are both present and appear tight when screwed in. The wick chambers need cleaning, but seem to work, and even have wick left in them! We didn't attempt to light them, but knowing something about oil lanterns, don't see any reason they wouldn't work, however this isn't a guarantee. just presenting things honestly. The metal. Nowhere, on either lantern shows any sign of rust. However they are a brown color. Paint appears to be old, in some places chipping, or peeling off. There are the usual signs of true usage. Wear and tear. Overall appear to be in very good shape. I have not checked them for leakage, however on inspection, I don't see any reason they would leak. I have no idea how old they are. Antique Vintage Boat Nautical Marine Oil lamps Port Starboard Green Red Ship
Up for auction are two antique nautical port/ starboard oil lamps. I have yet to see a pair exactly like this with smooth glass. Unfortunately i do not see any markings on them. The body's of the lamp appear to be galvanized but i could be wrong. The lenses of these lamps are in very nice shape with no visable cracks. One is green and one is red. These lamps appear complete minus the one is missing a part out of the bottom as seen in the picture. The only other issue is that the top of the one lamp has a dent and the top has some minor damage. Other then that they would make a great display piece. These are being sold as is. Fantastic HARVIE CO PORT METEORITE LAMP Antique Nautical Ship Oil Light England ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR ITEM: This type of thing comes to us from our many estates and abandoned storages we process daily. This has been stored for years by a caring family member and is guaranteed NOT to be a modern creation of any type. My research shows that this is a Port Meteorite Lamp P91294 according to the patent number 546575 as shown in the pictures. The dimensions of this historic ship lamp are about 23 inches high. 11 inches wide and 13 inches deep. This fabulous nautical lamp is made of both brass and copper metal that has a pleasing aged look to it. There is a red light filter that is removable and all of the parts on this piece are workable. This Port Meteorite Lamp was made in Birmingham, England. They are usually flat on the back. Ours is V shaped that fits in a corner with bracket pocket on the left. Its red fresnel glass lens was made by Perko with Mold No.35 on its side. Glass is in good condition with about 3 tiny. Tiny chips on the ribs of the glass that are hardly noticeable. Also has a few tiny paint specks, age& dirt. No cracks though. The lantern has been painted red sometime in its life that’s faded, chipping. It comes with a chain& Original brass Miller Co. burner& hurricane ... moreglass that’s attached to bottom cover. The hurricane is in good condition with some tiny chipping along the bottom rim that goes into the burner. Also is soiled. The lantern’s body is in good-fair condition except looks like something heavy was put on its top& it caved in a little to the right. But does not affect the structural integrity, it just adds character! The top still opens fine. This would make a unique& super conversation piece. If only it could talk! This offering is for an Antique Kilborn Sauer Fairfield. Conn(marked on the red glass lens) Red Lens Port Side Boat Running Lamp. This early Nautical Boat Light/Lamp/Lantern is in very good. Yet rough condition, the red heavy glass lens is in excellent condition(just a little dirty)no chips or cracks. See pictures to assess for yourself the condition of this rare maritime collectible. The Lens door secures tightly and their is no looseness to the lens or to any of the housing-very well made. I am including a small metal oil burner that is obviously not the original. I believe the paint over the galvanized metal housing is original, but don't know for sure. It measures 9" tall to the top of the ring and 7" across the front from corner to corner. Antique Vtg Rare Perko Nautical Marine Lantern Port Starboard Combination This cool old Perko nautical lantern is a hard to find model. According to my search for a similar one. The lantern has both port& starboard lenses, with a dividing plate between the ribbed red& deep aqua green glass. The lantern has old silver paint with typical surface age. The interior lamp is brass& shows surface greening. The wick advances. One of the two side mounting brackets on the interior lamp is missing. The lantern displays very nicely& the glass on the lantern is free of any chips or cracks. No dents. It measures 11" high to the top of the holding ring by 4.5" wide and 7" deep. It weighs a little over 12 pounds. I'm not sure if it's copper or brass. It's also very LARGE. It measures about 13 1/2" tall, 13 3/4" wide and is approximately 9 1/2" deep from each corner to the back. It was a originally a kerosene or oil ship's lantern. It's an amazing light! It's in excellent working condition, it's been newly re-wired& has an antique switch in the front(converted to electric) The switch is turned to right each time you want to turn it off or no. It has a removable red port glass(see photos of it turned on, with and without the red glass) The clear glass has a small 1/2" chip in one of the ... moreribbed sections; it's a very heavy thick glass so this does not compromise anything. Near the top of the lamp there's an emblem that has the numbers"3883" There is also some etching on both the clear and red glass. I wonder if this belonged to a military ship. As most items on those ships were marked with serial#s etc. The writing on each glass piece says"DHJE 3883, No. 654, E.31.5.61" It's not very noticable and you can't see it unless you really look; it's not seen when the light is on. Condition wise.it's vintage! There are a few dings& dents. Some areas of wear etc.but considering it was a ship light, it's going to have a weathered old look, which I personally prefer. Vintage Tung Woo PORT Lantern I recovered this Tung Woo port-side lantern from a sunken pipe barge while working off the coast of Borneo in the South China Sea in 1971. From it’s configuration it appears to have always been an electric lantern. I used it with a small battery light for a little evening ambiance on the deck table. So no heat damage from using it with candles. From the number of mounting holes(see last photo) it had a long service use history before I salvaged it. My guess is early post WWII. It has a heavy clear glass lens with an internal removable curved glass red filter. It’s got dents. Dimples and a wonky corner, decades of stains from living outside but no gouges or deep scratches. This is an authentic original nautical/maritime portside glass lamp enclosure that many years ago was fashioned into a simply put. Fantastic lamp. There is a socket on the inside that illuminates the red glass and I must say that it looks incredible lit up. Obviously there is a socket at the top as well that will require the lamp shade of your choosing to complete the piece. I chose not to clean and scrub the piece so as to depict the age and authenticity more clearly. This is absolutely not a reproduction. I believe this starboard red lamp enclosure sat atop a piling somewhere in some waterway for who knows how many years. This is a very unique Maritime item. It's brass light with 4 sided glass. They had filaments of green and red. Port and Starboard are on the light. As you can see the colors had brittle. Rare Vintage NY & NJ Port Authority Red Lamp Light Beacon Nautical Airports
For auction is a rare Light/Lamp/Beacon. From the New York and New Jersey Port Authority. It's used but in great shape and DOES WORK! I tested it with a 6 volt battery, but its probably designed for a 9 or 12. I'm not sure what this was for exactly, but some kind of signal, possibly for a port, an airport, or one of the bridges/tunnels. It's all steel, and has a glass globe on top with a red plastic insert. It measures 8 inches long, 4 3/4 inches wide, and about 12 inches tall including the globe. It's made tough, weighing 8 pounds. It has a toggle switch on the top. It doesn't blink but does turn on steady. It's supposed to blink but there may be a wiring error or an issue with the relay. There is also some rust on the bottom of the battery box but no holes. These are obsolete and acquired legally. The red is"Port" and the blue is"Starboard" Excellent nautical maritime pieces, great for display or use as a unique decoration. The previous owner used these as unique bookends in his home office. The dimensions of these are about: 6.5" tall, and 4" in length/width. Restored Original Nautical Navigation Lights - Port & Starboard - Marine Lights

You are bidding on the original navigation lights shown above. We recovered these lights and soda blasted them clean followed by a fresh coat of quality paint on the iron surfaces. The brass cages were cleaned and polished to give then a great look. The cage is brass and the top section of the light is steel. The glass globes are undamaged and they are made of true red and green glass! When these lights are mounted to the ceiling. It will extend down about 8 1/2 inches. Each light weighs about 5 pounds. To access the bulb area, you spin off the brass cage and the glass globe. We have installed a new bulb holder and wiring in each light that ... moreis UL-Listed and made by Westinghouse Electric. Measures approx. 8-3/4" high to top of cap and 10-1/2" to top of ring. Made entirely of brass and signed on the back"M'F'R'D. BY NATIONAL MARINE LAMP CO. NEW YORK. Wick adjustment knob is signed"P.A. MFG. CO. WATERBURY, CONN. MADE IN U.S.A. Lamp is all original and complete, wick still adjusts up and down freely. However, there are two old solder repairs to the two burner spring clips, and at some point someone cut a crude hole in the bottom hinged cover plate for an electric wire. Glass lenses appear to be the originals and are in good condition with NO cracks or chips. Still in very nice overall condition, just needs cleaning and polishing-if desired. Vintage Port RED Nautical Nagivation Channel Light Andrew Co. Chicago TYPE 660
Fresh out of a local estate is this wonderful Port Nautical Navigational Light. Truly a work of art and VINTAGE. According to the previous owner it came from Vero Beach. FL(but I can't prove that) Made in the US by Andrew Co. Chicago and appears to be 50+ years old. I was not able to find anything about the maker so no real way of dating it. Perfect for a Man Cave/Restaurant or your own channel marker. As you can see by the pictures there is a chunk of glass out of the top(clear part) but turned around you can't tell that. The red glass lamp in the inside is in perfect condition. The clear glass is in the design of light house glass so that it reflects. This is truly a piece of history and a great collectible for the nautical collector. It measures 33" tall and 15" across at the base. Weighs over 50# This was never an oil ... morelamp. It is wired and I'm sure it could easily be rewired. Any questions please feel free to ask. Antique? Perko Port Lantern w/ Red Lens, vintage boat lamp, Nautical
Here is a great vintage Perko port side ship lantern. It has a couple of dings and dents but still shows well. It also has a small chip in red lens at the top. The lantern is painted but made from galvanized steel and the top cover looks like brass. There is a large bulb inside not sure if it is any good. Please see pictures for further description.
