Nice RARE Antique COPPER lamp searchlight from the turn of the century. Beautiful original condition but untested and will likely need restoration in order to function at 100% The glass measures approx. 6" in diameter and the COPPER housing is nearly 6 1/2" deep. The unit is approximately 17" tall from top to bottom. THIS BEAUTIFUL PIECE WEIGHS NEARLY 7 POUNDS! Now that's a lot of copper! Because of it's QUALITY EARLY AMERICAN BUILD The mechanical functions work very well. Push the handle up and down and the lamp housing aims upwards and downwards. Turn the handle left or right and the housing turns left and right. The original electrical wiring is still attached. This is a very cool and very unique piece of antique American History. Later National Marine absorbed a company called American Lamp and Brass. According to Hobson, but the“American” name died with the acquisition. Fredrick Perkins became president of National in 1913. Frederick and his son Louis left that company in 1916 and moved back to Brooklyn, New York where they started Perkins Marine Lamp Corporation. This is an as-is no refunds. No returns, listing. Measures approx. 8-3/4" high to top of cap and 10-1/2" to top of ring. Made entirely of brass and signed on the back"M'F'R'D. BY NATIONAL MARINE LAMP CO. NEW YORK. Wick adjustment knob is signed"P.A. MFG. CO. WATERBURY, CONN. MADE IN U.S.A. Lamp is all original and complete, wick still adjusts up and down freely. However, there are two old solder repairs to the two burner spring clips, and at some point someone cut a crude hole in the bottom hinged cover plate for an electric wire. Glass lenses appear to be the originals and are in good condition with NO cracks or chips. Still in very nice overall condition, just needs cleaning and polishing-if desired. Vintage National Marine Lamp Co. # 11 Boat Signal Lantern
This Handheld Oil Burning Boat Signal Lantern is in fairly good condition considering its age. Has the scratches that I would expect to see. The wick is new in the burner which leads me to believe it was replaced because the interior does have some burn marks from use. The lens is in great shape and spring loaded action is as stiff as ever. Probably made between 1900- 1950 and the exact date of manufacture is unknown to me. Stands 9" tall and has about a 3 1/2" diameter.

Burner stamped THE NATIONAL MARINE LAMP CO. metal plate on the flat back side has a patent date of APRIL 1ST 1913. 10" tall to the top of the ring on top, 4 3/4" wide, 4 1/2" deep, galvanized metal. The burner is rusted through and is missing one of two metal tabs that held it in place. The metal lantern shows areas of surface rust but is solid and not flimsy in any way, ding on the cupola where the ring is mounted, both pieces of glass in good condition. It would be simple to electrify or even easier to place a battery op light inside and enjoy the colored glass. Offered here for sale is a large boat/small ship size stern lamp with a clear lens. This lamp is in used. Original condition and retains the original inside oil lamp which is in good condition. The green paint shows age and use but looks to be original. The lens is in very good condition. This piece probably dates to the early 1900’s. Great for display or even use. Measures 15 inches tall and 7 inches wide.

This is a vintage Ship Lantern that say's on the knob inside the glass The National Marine Lamp Co. I showed a picture but it is difficult to read as the writing is very small. This piece was purchased at an estate sale from an avid collector and they told me it has been hanging in their kitchen for over 40 years and they had purchased it from an antique store. Beautiful condition. Black paint over brass. Includes oil/ kerosene reservoir and wick. Which looks never used. Likely from the 1910s or 1920s. Black paint over brass. No paint loss or corrosion. A few scuffs from age. Clear lens, which is intact. Lens assembly opens and closes easily, and latches solidly. The aperture opens and closes easily, with solid spring action. Boat Signal” die stamped above the lens, and maker’s mark stamped on the back. 8 ½ inches high. 5 inches deep, 3 ½ inches wide. Weighs about 2 pounds.
