this is 17" long and about 16" tall. cast from aluminum or zinc. Not sure but makers family member said it was zinc. he said his father manufactured these in chicago years ago and that this was the actual prototype. i have seen similar ones made from glass here on ebay and the family did own a glass factory. this one is all metal and no glass. i did not plug it in to test the lights.

Boat or Dock Light* This is a vintage maritime nautical Fresnel Lens Lamp that was previously being used as a dock light in Austoria. Oregon on Oregon's North Coast. It appears to be brass or copper metal(do not know if solid or plate) It has a glass fresnel lens. It measures approximately 7 1/2" tall to top of hanger and 4 1/2" in diameter at the base. It is wired to take a standard electric light bulb. The metal top and bottom attach to fresnel lens with thumb set screws. It is as found and well weathered from years of use although it is still functional. We have not cleaned the metal or glass and there are deposits from the elements on both the metal and glass. It could probably be cleaned up but wanted to leave it with ... moreits original weahered look. Other than the the weathering from the elements it is in good vintage condition and the glass fresnel lens does not have any cracks or chips. This auction is for a very nice vintage brass nautical/maritime table lamp. The lamp has a 3 way lamp switch for dimmer or brighter light. There is an interior lamp light that provides a light glow through the glass globe. The glass globe is marked with GGG. The lantern has a nice brass finish and a boat rope that is wrapped around the wooden base. The lamp is marked Ankerlicht. The lamp comes with a burlap style shade. The bottom base is lined in felt. This lamp is in very nice condition and would make an excellent addition to your beach house or nautical themed decor. It has been well taken care of and almost appears like new. A brass"MASTHEAD" plaque surmounts the hood of this VINTAGE NAUTICAL LANTERN. It stands 14-1/2 inches tall. Not including handle. Features CURVED GLASS LENS and curved metal reflector plate, Sturdy brass mounting brackets on back- presumably for affixing to the mast of a sailing ship. Constructed of brass, glass, and brass plating over- judging from the tarnish- probably copper? This is most likely an older decorative reproduction. It's rendition is very faithful. And lantern is functional. The base unscrews to take a CANDLE- either one with a wide base, or a taper inserted into your own socket(no disrespect intended) OR. You could wire/electrify it rather easily. Lantern is in GOOD CONDITION. Nothing broken or missing. The drip rim of the base candle-holder area is bent. Here for your nautical pleasure is a nifty gambel ships oil lamp. Two sided. Very heavy bottom to ensure plumb. It is made by(and marked) The lamp measures 11" tall w/o the chimney and 18" high w/ chimney. Approximately 3/5" diameter at the brass top and 3" on the brass bottom. As you can see. It is in fine working condition, but as with all vintage items, it is imperfect. I cannot speak as to its age: the 1842 in the name is probably the founding date of the company. Which is still in business. The lamp is from an estate sale of quite elderly folks who had a lot of nautical/marine items. If there is more information I can supply. I respond promptly. Sorry. Here is a Large 8 inch tall RED LENSE REAL GLASS marked Corning on glass Nautical SHIP. DOCK, or PIER Nautical Light. This 8 inch tall lamp has a 3 1/2 inch tall RED glass bezile lense, There are only a couple of specs on the glass that appears to be in very good condition NO CRACKS. The base is 6 inches across and the light is very heavy duty. Not sure if it is military as it appears to be somewhat grey in coloring. There is a number 9-S 4473-L in raised lettering on top. There is a 64 inch heavy duty cord with some type of plug in socket end see photo 5. Not sure if from a ship, dock or pier. Not sure if it works or what type of power supply it used. Here's an antique boat pole lamp in estate as found condition. I cleaned the dust/ dirt off of the glass globe shade. Only a few small flakes/ chips seen on ribbed edges. The brass/ copper fixture and threaded globe holder shows some minor wear and aging/ patina to the finish. The spring action is strong inside the lamp socket. The globe/ shade threads on and off fixture base properly. The globe/ shade measures: 2 3/4 inches diameter. 5 1/2 inches height overall including fixture, and the pole measures 7/8 inch outside diameter. Terms: Please make payment within 3 days. My first Boat Job was in 1979 on an old wood hull 1943 Army Tug named the M/V Polar Navagator. The vessel was docked in Richmond California. And was undergoing a retrofit for Commercial Fishing for Black Cod via Long Lining. We were in charge of clearing out all of the brass heating pipes and all the left over items on board that did not meet the requirements of the owners. THIS is one of those items. This was a standard issue for a vessel of this type during war times to minimize observation of this vessel while under way. I have had this for a very long time. Metal sails are in good condition with some of the stickers starting to peel off. Light was tested and it worked. But light bulb blew out shortly after it was on, I think the bulb was old. Antique Perko Stern Lantern w/ Red Lens, vintage boat lamp, Nautical
Antique PERKO lantern. The screw-on cap looks to be brass and the rest of it appears to be galvanized. The red plastic lens has a piece broken off it in the upper corner. There is a bulb inside but the filament looks broken so it would have to be replaced when the wiring is fixed. There is a large dent in the back of the lamp. I think it could be pressed in an arbor press to look a lot better. There's some rust. Some dirt, some paint and that's how things go on ships. Vintage lantern would great in your collection.
