Huge vintage Pauluhn Nautical Pier lights. stamped- cat no. 1453 Great Nautical heavy duty design. Believed to be solid brass- Will not stick to a magnet. These are mounted to bases manufactured by- Kenilworth N.J. and read Suitable for wet locations. We have not attempted to clean or polish these at all. One of the red or off red glass globes has 6 chips on its fins which are hard to notice because of the large size. The other red globe which is a slightly different tone then the other has only one chip on a fin. Both globes have some minor flea biting on the fins and scratching/ wear throughout from age and outdoor use. The brass or metal has scratching scuffing etc. and one of them has a little chunk missing shown in photograph# 3. These will need a detailed cleaning and restoration of all wiring before they can be used. The globes have ... moresomewhat of a opalescence tone and may have been painted at some point but are absolutely originally RED glass. Please note these need full restoration ASIS as shown. For your consideration is a very old Westinghouse Electronic MFG. Co. Floodlight. It is very heavy. It's on a stand and the light swivels up and down. A metal plate on the top front says that the watts are 200 and the Style is 1217420. There is a W on the top metal and also in the middle of the lens. I found one like this on Google and it is described as Vintage Nautical. Maritime Floodlight, Naval, Ship Light from around the 1940's. I know nothing about the history of the floodlight but would like to know more about it if anyone can tell me more. The cord is old and I did not test it. This item is large and heavy. I'm guessing it is cast iron and aluminum but not sure of the material. It is covered with green verdigris except for the bottom edge which has been painted white. There is just a tiny bit of surface rust. Hardly worth mentioning, here and there, except for the cage which is completely rusted and broken. There is a porcelain bulb receptacle and the lens/shade is beautiful and made of thick ridged glass. Beautiful survivor Large Antique Search Light Nautical Industrial Light
True survivor here with this awesome antique large search light that I rescued from a basement. I cannot find any makers mark on it. The heavy thick glass is embossed with TOP SPREDLITE TM REG US PAT OFF. The glass lense is apprx 15" and is all good free from any breaks or cracks. As is the complete unit. Comes with a bulb and the inside reflector looks great. The handles are stamped with numbers. This beauty stands apprx 25 1/2" tall to the top of the hinges. Apprx 23" wide from outside handle to the other handle. All original down to the wire. However the wire has been cut and will need to be rewired. Not sure if it still works but I see no reason why it wouldn't after being rewired. Has an awesome look& patina to it with the cast metal bracket ring and it's 3 hole foot base& handles. This is one of the most creative spotlights I've seen to date. Normally you see spotlights on tripods. But I created something that is outside the box! The Spotlight is easy to move around or could be used as a table lamp. Or floor lamp. The spotlight measures 10" in diameter, 19" height. and 12" at the widest point of wooden base. The caster wheels are vintage. The wooden base is an old vintage chopping block, and the spotlight came off an old 1940's truck. Vintage twisted cloth(not rayon) lamp cord measures 6' long. I have up for auction a really nice pair of vintage/antique Russell& Stoll Co. New York wall sconces. This pair is in very good condition but as can be seen will need rewiring to be functional. The back of the sconces appear to be made from galvanized metal. The rest of the light and cage portion are I believe to be brass. Cages open and close with a spring latch. Vintage Nautical - Industrial Explosion Proof Brass Light Housings
For sale are two brass nautical/industrial Brass explosionproof light housings. I was told these were from the 40s but cannot confirm that. They were made by R. Lovell& Company in Arlington New Jersey. They are made of brass but at some point were painted. So. They have been sandblasted back to their original condition. I scratched a little spot on one of them so you can see the brass underneath the patina. These could be polished if you prefer, but I think the patina is beautiful. Here is a beautiful Wilmot Castle Company Type 80(Model 80) surgical light(100w Clear Spotlight) from the 1930's and 1940's. Some of these were used as search lights. Also. I was told that this particular one came from a US Naval vessel. It was in an auction with several Navy ship parts such as portholes from a minesweeper. With the green salty patina it has in places, I tend to believe the story. This light works well. I has a couple of very small dings, and a small area on the lens is scratched. I used a pen to show you the size. The light includes a 110v plug so it doesn't have to be hardwired. It also includes the mounting base, which is usually missing from these. I only wiped it down with a rag and a little Windex. I didn't want to mess up the patina. Some people like that look. I'm including a 2 pack of 100w Halogen ... morebulbs. The brass base is marked twice, once with a US and anchor Navy mark and the second being an overlapping USN and the number 129. The cage is marked 4594-L-7 with an R on the top of the cage. the glass is marked G. B. Inc Type H 2034- Inside there's no socket, but the holes to mount one are still in there in good shape, just need to drop one in there and go for it its about 10 1/2" from the bottom of the mounting bracket to the top of the cage. About 5 3/4" from edge to edge on the mounting bracket. The mounting holes are about 1/2" in diameter. I'm no lighting expert. Vintage Nautical Industrial Brass Explosion Proof Hanging Lamps w/ wiring - rare
Up for auction is a rare and unique pair of brass hanging lamps. Typically brass lamps and lighting were used in nautical applications but also found in industrial settings so its hard to say what these were originally used for. These feature the explosion proof cages and glass that characterize much of the industrial lighting. The hanging/ceiling mount hardware is elegant and should be ready to wire up(though I am unable to test the units) Overall length is 26" Lamp shade is about 8.5" diameter. I have been unable to find a manufacturer's mark or label so far. Perfect for repurposing in your restaurant. Bar, business, home, office, shop, garage, boat house, marina, etc. The only condition issues I can find are the tiny imperfections on the ceiling mount cover- a small dent in the lip of one and a couple tiny cracks in the lip ... moreof the other.

But there are no marks on the other, yet they were made sometime around the 1930s I was told. They are 6 3/4 inches tall, 3 inches across the threaded rim, and the threaded edge is just a hair over 1 inch wide. There is a slight bit of grime I have not been able to scrub away on the inside dome but otherwise they are in pretty good shape with no chips, cracks, or flaws in the glass.
