It is very heavy bronze ... moreweighing 40lb and is 12" in diameter and 15 inches tall. it has a heavy clear glass fresnel lens a separate inner red lens which sits about an inch inside the fresnel lens. the red lens has a few cracks, but seems to be stable. the only marking that I can find on this is the number "3" stamped at the lug where the cord exits. this light is wired to accept a standard edison base bulk. The cord is 10 feet long and in decent shape, but is a little stiff from age. As shown in the photos, the cap flips open to access the bulb.

Vintage Cast Brass Ship's Nautical Passageway Light - Rewired & Polished #6

You are bidding on the vintage cast brass Ship's nautical passageway ceiling light shown in the above photos. This light measure about 8 1/2 inches tall and about 4 inches wide. The base has three mount holes that are about 2 1/2 inches off the center of the light. The globe is glass and in good condition. The light weighs almost 5 pounds. You can access the bulb area by unscrewing the cage and then unscrewing the glass globe. The glass is undamaged. But could use some additional cleaning. The cage and the glass globe screw on and off with little effort. This light has been totally rewired with all new UL-Listed parts rated for any voltage of ... more250 volts or less. The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 100 watts or less. The new wires exit from the new hole we drilled on the bottom of the light, and the original conduit holes have been plugged with copper caps. These lights were recovered from one of our many salvage operations. These lights will have some minor wear that may include bending to the cage ribs. While we have removed most of the original paint and polished the light, some buyer may want to do additional polishing work. The cage has one broken rib near the threaded ring on the bottom side. Not a big issue. But I just want to point it out. This can also be seen in the attached photos. This light can be used inside or outside. It will never rust! If you have questions. It weighs a little over 12 pounds. I'm not sure if it's copper or brass. It's also very LARGE. It measures about 13 1/2" tall, 13 3/4" wide and is approximately 9 1/2" deep from each corner to the back. It was a originally a kerosene or oil ship's lantern. It's an amazing light! It's in excellent working condition, it's been newly re-wired& has an antique switch in the front(converted to electric) The switch is turned to right each time you want to turn it off or no. It has a removable red port glass(see photos of it turned on, with and without the red glass) The clear glass has a small 1/2" chip in one of the ... moreribbed sections; it's a very heavy thick glass so this does not compromise anything. Near the top of the lamp there's an emblem that has the numbers"3883" There is also some etching on both the clear and red glass. I wonder if this belonged to a military ship. As most items on those ships were marked with serial#s etc. The writing on each glass piece says"DHJE 3883, No. 654, E.31.5.61" It's not very noticable and you can't see it unless you really look; it's not seen when the light is on. The door does stick some; you have to put some effort into it, to open it. Condition wise.it's vintage! There are a few dings& dents. Some areas of wear etc.but considering it was a ship light, it's going to have a weathered old look, which I personally prefer. I've never seen another light like this. It has a great industrial. The base is 6 inches across and the light is very heavy duty. Not sure if it is military as it appears to be somewhat grey in coloring. There is a number 9-S 4473-L in raised lettering on top. There is a 64 inch heavy duty cord with some type of plug in socket end see photo 5. Not sure if from a ship, dock or pier. Not sure if it works or what type of power supply it used. Two matching vintage wall light sconces with a nautical theme. They both work. But they have the old fabric cord. Beautiful wood ball and brass arm. The wood on one is lighter than the other. Vintage Floodlight Westinghouse Nautical, Navy, Maritime, Ship light INDUSTRIAL
For your consideration is a very old Westinghouse Electronic MFG. Co. Floodlight. It is very heavy. It's on a stand and the light swivels up and down. A metal plate on the top front says that the watts are 200 and the Style is 1217420. There is a W on the top metal and also in the middle of the lens. I found one like this on Google and it is described as Vintage Nautical. Maritime Floodlight, Naval, Ship Light from around the 1940's. I know nothing about the history of the floodlight but would like to know more about it if anyone can tell me more. The cord is old and I did not test it. This item is large and heavy. I'm guessing it is cast iron and aluminum but not sure of the material. The round metal part is aprox. 13 1/2" x 14" part around the glass lens) The overall height from the floor to the top of the light is ... moreaprox. 21 1/2" tall. It is aprox. 19" across from handle to handle. A very nice fellow Ebayer from the West Coast who collects these old lights told me some information on this light. The back shows black that comes off when I dabbed at it. This is probably a pretty rare item and would make a good addition to any Nautical collection. Sale fell through on last listing of this item. This Vintage Brass Marine Lantern is marked English Made on the wick adjuster. It measures 16 1/2 by 7 3/4 inches. It is hand crafted with rivets and solder. The work shows very good quality. It is in very good condtion with a couple of very small hard to find dents. The top and the globe unscrew to fill the tank. They are stuck with old fuel varnish and I do not intend to forcefully remove them. The wick moves up and down when the wheel is turned. The glass plates and globe are very good. The socket is in working condition, just insert the two wires into the holes and tighten the set screws. The chrome finish is shiny with a few light scratches and overall looks new. The screws that hold the glass in are all original and all there. The original stainless steel mounting screws, washers and nuts are included. The glass says K S 900. It measures 6" front to back, 3 1/2" tall and 4" wide at the base. I do not know what kind of boat this came from, possibly Chris Craft? This would look great put back into service on a boat or in a nautical ... morebar setting.

This is a very unique Maritime item. It's brass light with 4 sided glass. They had filaments of green and red. Port and Starboard are on the light. As you can see the colors had brittle. Vintage PERKO Nautical Navigation Light w/ selector. Displays red. Green or white lamps. Operational. 7 1/4" dia. and 5 1/2" h. Glass dome is 2 7/8" dia. and 3" h.approx. Requires(2) D batteries. Not included. For use on a small boat. Made of tin(I believe) it appears similar to a film canister. The metal body has mostly minor surface rust with a small hole on the underside. The aged, dark patina is a little rough. There is an"on-off" toggle switch located on the side. The glass dome reads"PERKO" and is clear, clean and in good shape, except for two very small, almost un-noticeable chips close together on the edge where it screws onto the base. The wired controller has three buttons, labeled Red, Green and White for selecting the lights individually, or all of the three other lamps at once, for maximum ... morebrightness. One lamp is always lit. The four bulbs appear to be original and have lost some of their colored tinting. Only one of the four sockets does not seem to work. Also, I have improvised a small flat piece of metal where the battery holder has corroded to provide a completed circuit so that the lamps will light up.

This old metal lantern looks like an insert for a large lamp. Maybe is brass, but has a darkened patina. The base is about 7" x 8 1/2" and is 6" tall. It is fairly heavy, one of the adjusting knobs for the wicks is marked, but it is very hard to read, adjusters work wicks. Unique piece for decorating and collecting! Up for sale here we have a Vintage Nautical Maritime Boat Ship Light Lantern 21" Brass RARE Ocean Sea Coast. This lantern is absolutely awesome. It has a very nice patina as you can see. This is the real deal and it was used. Someone at some point of time made it electrical light. The glass has a few chips in the extremely thick glass. There is a couple small dents. But you can't hardly tell with the colors of the lantern. This lantern is unmarked. It is very solid and well made. The lantern measures approximately 21"x11" With the handle up it is about 23.5" in height. It weighs a heavy 17lbs 12oz. We assume since this is from the sea and very old that it is made of brass.
