This is an authentic original nautical/maritime portside glass lamp enclosure that many years ago was fashioned into a simply put. Fantastic lamp. There is a socket on the inside that illuminates the red glass and I must say that it looks incredible lit up. Obviously there is a socket at the top as well that will require the lamp shade of your choosing to complete the piece. I chose not to clean and scrub the piece so as to depict the age and authenticity more clearly. This is absolutely not a reproduction. I believe this starboard red lamp enclosure sat atop a piling somewhere in some waterway for who knows how many years. This lamp has been in storage for several decades and I am sad to have to part with it. This piece will make a stellar addition to any shore house or den or even office space. This light was converted to an indoor display light but it still has the original three sockets if someone wants to return it to its original use as a nautical light. The previous owner converted it to an indoor display light. The only two things we did were clean/inspect the glass lens and replacing the light cord. Which was defective. There is some corrosion and oxidation on the original three light sockets. The lens is intact with the exception of a crack near the new light bulb that was added. These do have wear from age and use including very worn cloth electric cords(works but for safety needs upgrade) The brass/gold finish has corrosion and tarnish. And the shade on the red lamp is a bit bent on one of the edges. The red shade has a chip near the top- shown in picture 9 by pointer finger and some chipping around the bottom edge. Rare Vintage NY & NJ Port Authority Red Lamp Light Beacon Nautical Airports
For auction is a rare Light/Lamp/Beacon. From the New York and New Jersey Port Authority. It's used but in great shape and DOES WORK! I tested it with a 6 volt battery, but its probably designed for a 9 or 12. I'm not sure what this was for exactly, but some kind of signal, possibly for a port, an airport, or one of the bridges/tunnels. It's all steel, and has a glass globe on top with a red plastic insert. It measures 8 inches long, 4 3/4 inches wide, and about 12 inches tall including the globe. It's made tough, weighing 8 pounds. It has a toggle switch on the top. It doesn't blink but does turn on steady. It's supposed to blink but there may be a wiring error or an issue with the relay. There is also some rust on the bottom of the battery box but no holes. These are obsolete and acquired legally. May have had a thin brass coating at one time. 12" red glass lens is in great shape and is pebbled inside. Entire light measures 23" tall and is 15" front to back. There are three large clip hinges that hold the lens rim in place. At the top of the light you can see the two small stationary hinges(one is broken) so that the lens and trim ring can be lifted up but remain attached. Even though one of these is broken. The lens and trim ring are held securely by not only the remaining hinge but the three much larger ... moresnap hinges at the top and sides of the light. The light has an iron base with four big screws for mounting. There used to be a mercury glass reflector that fit the back of the light's interior. Only shards of it were left when I found this light. The gentlemen I purchased it from said his mother had aluminum foil inside for a reflector. She had it mounted on their boat dock and they used it to find their way home. The light has a long industrial electric cord on it and works great(see pics) Light has a great look! They don't make them like this anymore! I have not attempted to clean or polish the brass housing. But with a bit of elbow grease, it would probably shine up. Weighs 24 pounds unboxed. Antique PERKO lantern. The screw-on cap looks to be brass and the rest of it appears to be galvanized. The red plastic lens has a piece broken off it in the upper corner. There is a bulb inside but the filament looks broken so it would have to be replaced when the wiring is fixed. There is a large dent in the back of the lamp. I think it could be pressed in an arbor press to look a lot better. There's some rust. Some dirt, some paint and that's how things go on ships. Vintage lantern would great in your collection. Fresh out of a local estate is this wonderful Port Nautical Navigational Light. Truly a work of art and VINTAGE. According to the previous owner it came from Vero Beach. FL(but I can't prove that) Made in the US by Andrew Co. Chicago and appears to be 50+ years old. I was not able to find anything about the maker so no real way of dating it. Perfect for a Man Cave/Restaurant or your own channel marker. As you can see by the pictures there is a chunk of glass out of the top(clear part) but turned around you can't tell that. The red glass lamp in the inside is in perfect condition. The clear glass is in the design of light house glass so that it reflects. PERKO TABLE LAMP Beautiful v intage brass Perko split red and blue lens boat bow light made into a table lamp. Good working condition with 3 different on and off settings.The first setting will turn on the red and blue base boat light. Second setting will turn off red and blue base light and the main lamp will turn on, third setting will turn on both red, blue and main lamp setting so with the last setting the entire lamp will be lit. The lamp is set on a wood base that has a small chip see pix#8. Brass will need some shining up. But that will be left up to the new owner. Original lamp shade is included with a few minor stains, but still in good condition. This lamp was custom made by Dana Creath of Custom House Light of Newport Beach Calif. in the late 60's. This is such a wonderful piece; almost hate to part with it. It is marked underneath. Chase! Measures 8.5" tall and 4.5" across its base. No cracks or chips to glass. There is all over ware to the brass, but in my opinion that adds character and tells a story. As you can see by the pics, it works in both places. Early 20th Cent. Nautical Ships Lantern Globe (Red) W/Metal Top
DESCRIPTION: Early 20th Century nautical ships lantern globe(red) with a metal top. It measures about 9 ¼ inches tall and has a base diameter of about 7 ½ inches and weighs about 8 pounds. The vented top appears to be tin and it has a greenish patina or paint on it that has some wear. Not sure if the top was the original but it looks old as well but does not have much soot on the underside. The bottom edge of the globe has many tiny surface chips from removing and replacing globe to service the oil lamp and from normal wear and tear. Red glass from this period was typically made with some real gold in order to obtain the color. The globe was most likely off a ship from the northern New England area but not sure if it was off a fresh water or ocean going vessel. This is a nice heavy red glass nautical collectible.

Nautical Ship Lantern (City Metal Company) with Red Pyrex Globe
Rare City Metal Nautical Ship Lantern. This lantern is known as a Dark Lantern. Because of the shield that could be raised to conceal the light. Made from 1910-1923, they were used during World War 1 by the U. S. Navy and Merchant Ships. The globe is red and marked Pyrex at the top. It is about 5 1/8" high, it is a straight cylinder shape with four"ribs" that run vertically. No cracks or chips that I can see. The burner is an original Simplex Burner, used in City Metal lanterns. It is marked E. Miller& Company on the wick adjustment knob. On the top of the dome lid is marked City Metal. City Metal has a unique design for the air holes, not seen in other Deck or Dark lanterns. The lantern measures 17" high to the top of the handle, and about 7" at the base.

NAUTICAL RED EMERGENCY SHIP LANTERN COPPER AND BRASS TABLE LAMP
Thank you for viewing this auction for is one. 1) brass and copper ship lamp converted to a table lamp. This is an old oil lamp that I believe served as a emergency light due to the red lens it has which shine 360 degrees. There are two thick heavy glass lenses on this light. The clear lens is the amplifying lens, and the inside lens is for giving the light the red color. This light is constructed of primarily copper and brass. There are also some iron components to this light, this includes the lens protectors and the two hanging brackets. The hanging brackets are used to not only hang the light vertically, but also to stabilize it from moving left to right, and front to back. There is no lamp inside of this lantern, it does no light up internally. This ship lantern appears to have been converted a long time ago; I believe at the very earliest ... moreit was made into a table lamp in the 1940’s. This is an older piece and I am unsure of the age. I am also unsure of a maker for this lamp for there are no maker marks I have been able to identify. Telling from its construction. There is a good chance this lantern is from a 19 th century ship. The condition of this lamp is old. There are multiple dents on this lantern. And appears to have been used heavily. This lamp no longer has its original oil burner, it was most likely discarded when it was converted to a table lamp. The mounting clips are still in place for accepting an oil burner. The red lens and clear reflector are intact with no cracks. The lamp is built to flex, so it does move and flex; the structure of the lamp is still sound. The lamp does work, and lights. I would suggest changing the cord if it is still desired to use as a table lamp; the cord is older, and the plug is not polarized. The copper and brass does have extensive corrosion and staining on it. Also there are a lot of dings and dents throughout. Please refer to the pictures provided to get a better sense of this items condition. This lantern measures 10” to the top of the copper vent. To the top

NICE ANTIQUE RED NAUTICAL SHIP BOAT LANTERN
About 12" tall Do not know anything about this piece and only assume that it's a nautical lamp based on minor research. If you know anything please let me know and I will adjust listing. In good overall condition. Not sure if hole at top isn't intentional. No odor. From a smoke free environment. For further details please see the pictures. Feel free to ask any questions.
