I could not find a maker's name but the adjuster has a 6 point star trademark and the bottom is marked"tarnish resistant wash& wipe" The glass shade has an acid etched ship pattern. It comes with a tall thin glass smoke chimney. It measures 15" high to the top of the chimney, the base is 3 5/16" wide. It has very obvious quality- best you could possibly find. Perhaps made by Weems& Plath or Scandinavian maker. Fine clean solid condition with no damage- check my photos. Antique "Viking" Ship Nautical Maritime Oil Lamp Kerosene Lantern
Vintage Viking Kerosene anchor light. Not sure of the age but not antique. I see other Viking brand lanterns listed as true antiques but I don't believe they are or that this one is. Everything works. It stands 15" tall. 6 1/2" deep and 6 1/2" wide. The glass is all in good condition. No dents, breaks or flaws that I can see. The material seems to be all brass except the rolled edges and corners are brass rolled over a steel rod. This lantern is dirty and needs cleaning but i will leave that up to the purchaser, I am selling as found. This will make a beautiful display or actually use it! 1920's Maritime Nautical Neptune Oil Lamp Brass Ships Lantern
Vintage 1920's maritime brass oil burning ships lantern. I have not polished it but it seems to be in great condition. There is no corrosion to the brass and the glass sides and chimney have no chips or cracks and there is just a small dent on the top. It is missing the wick. Please look at pictures closely. Up for auction is a vintage antique signed Perko nautical maritime chrome plated oil lamp recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good used condition, but is missing parts such as the bracket, wick and glass chimney. The base is signed"Perko" Someone wrote the word"Dee" in red on the base too. Both are best seen in photo#5. This lamp is weighted so when hung, it will maintain in an upright position. The base has an approximate diameter of 2 3/4" and measures approximately 6 1/4' in size. For auction is an old oil lamp. Very unusual one, I think. I have not been able to figure out too much about it. It has some age though. The bottom is weighted, which I was thinking might indicate that it was to be used on a boat or ship. The only marking is on the knob and it has an R and V on each side of a anchor. I have had this a few years in my basement bar. But changing themes and it is time to let it go. I am not sure it is functional, but the way it is made I would expect that it might be. Antique Maritime Oil Lamp Gavlvanized appearance but may be Brass
This Nautical Antique Oil Lamp has a galvanized appearance but I feel this is a patina created by use. I feel it may be brass or chrome plated brass as a magnet is not attracted to it. I did not want to disturb the surface as some of my buyers may appreciate the natural aging. It is 8 1/2" tall not including the top ring and 4 1/2" wide. The bottom screws off to access the oil. Container and wick. The globe in design looks something like those found in a lighthouse. As you can see from my description this is not my field of expertise, but this little lamp obviously speaks for its self to the maritime collector.

This antique brass/copper oil lamp is in excellent condition and has a beautiful patina. Only 2 tiny dings at the very top of the chimney about 2mm wide. It measures 13.5"H by 7" W. I can not find a makers mark. But I don't want to polish it to find out. Many antique dealers prefer brass or copper items in there natural aged state. The glass is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks and is beveled. Still has the original oil container with wick and the wick turner does rotate.

Vintage Ships Binnacle Compass Oil Lamp Converted to Electric Nautical Maritime
This is a great find. This is an authentic vintage ships binnacle compass with built in oil or gas lamp. But this one has been converted to an electric table lamp. The little side cubby that would originally hold the oil now holds a small bulb and of course, another bulb at the top. Mounted on a nice wooden base, felted bottom. The compass/dial has been set so it does not move. I left the wonderful patina, but it could be cleaned and shined. I find no dings or dents. Lots of hand work went into this old lamp. Smaller binnacle's were lit with one small lamp like this one. Larger compasses needed two larger lamps. A little rough around the edges but its all there. Three components are the oil burner itself, the lamp carrier with the handle& the base tag attaches to the compass housing with the angled shade. Here is a small only 6" tall old oil lamp. It is made in England and mounts in a ships cabin, it has the mounting bracket that swivels with the movement of the ocean.
