I am not sure if this was a gas type light or not. Although it has a socket where a bulb or something would have fit but on the side of the light it looks like a flint or sparker. The light will need the chrome trim cleaned.Sorry I am not much help here, please see the pictures and maybe someone out there can tell me more. The works are mounted on a nice piece of oak and there are exposed wires etc on the back. It appears the glass is missing however the clip holder to hold the glass guard in is in the metal hood. The metal hood is hinged and has holes to let the heat escape. The light measures 11" long x 5" wide and weighs unpackaged 3-1/2 pounds.At the top of the light is a knob that can be turned to control the brightness i am guessing. I believe this model is from a 1928 Chris Craft Cadet. See last picture/NOT actual item up for sale! It stands 5" tall and is 6 1/4" at the base. Solid brass with 1/4" thick blue and red glass. Each glass does have minor chipping on it. The cap/ flag pole holder unscrews and the bulb bracket is intact. I believe all stainless hardware is original as well. This auction is for a rare and unique maritime lantern made by Perko with its original Dietz burner. It measures 8-1/2 inches tall. Is 5 inches wide across the back, 3 inches wide across the front, and is 4-3/8 inches deep. It has a flat back so that it can be mounted on a wall. It has one flaw, the latch for the door in back is broken. It is otherwise in excellent condition with no significant cracks, dents or breaks. The tri-colored original bullet lens glass is still in excellent condition. This is the one you want to complete your collection, so don't let this rare lantern get away! This auction is for a Antique Neptune maritime Nautical lantern light with oil lamp.This is missing the panel of glass that is where the latch side is. The total height is 15" tall. The base is 6" tall. The sliding oil lamp section is unmarked- it does original to the lantern. It has the Neptune tag on the front. This is fresh from an old New England barn and will need cleaning- I have not attempted to clean this up at all. The glass globe has a flake of the bottom edge. It looks to be the original but I am not 100% sure of that.One of the cage bars is slightly indented. I think this is copper(magnet does not adhrere to it) Thank you. USCG Nautical Channel marker mfg. by Wallace-Tiernan Belleville NJ A INTERESTING PIECE OF SF NAUTICAL HISTORY. This solid bronze antique channel marker was given to a USCG Admiral upon his retirement. The light still functions It was displayed in his office and rewired with a timer where it remained until his death. It was then passed onto a family friend who placed it in storage. It is being offered for sale at this time. It stands 24 inches tall by 13 inches at the widest point. The 4 base mounting holes are spaced 9 to 9 and 1/2 inches square. The width of the shade measure approximately 14 inches. The top of the shade is green porcelain and underneath is white porcelain. It also has a porcelain socket. The green procelain is in nice condition and the white procelain also looks good as seen in the pictures. Some touch up is needed by the socket which is typical. The light also needs to be rewired. The name on the top of the light bracket says" JACKSON. The length of the mounting bracket measures 19 inches. This is a nice light and opportunity if you can use it! This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION! I believe this is a Stern light for a vintage boat. The lens is clear. So the light would be white. It appears that the stern flag would fit in the hole behind the light. About 7 inches long. Rises up about 3 inches and is 2 1/4 inch wide at the widest point. The rear tip appears to have broken off and there are a few cracks that can be seen in the pictures. Antique-Chris Craft Soup Can Bow Light
Up for auction is a 1928-Chris Craft- Soup Can Bow Light(from what I was told by the owner) off of a model"Cadet" Light alone measures 5" tall with a 6 1/2" round base. Including wooden mounting base 7 1/2" in diameter. Overall height with lamp harp and finial it stands 20" tall. The 3-way lamp socket and harp was added probably in the late 1950's. It is bronze with some of the original nickel plating left in spots. The lamp could be returned to its original state if one wanted too. The light and lamp work with separate switches and the wiring is probably original to the conversion. Could not find any maker's mark. The Red lens has a chip.The Blue looks to be perfect. Antique 1800s Nautical Post Lantern Lighthouse Lamp Ship Mast Anchor Light Brass
Description: This is a large antique"birdcage" type oil lantern that was made between 1860 and 1890. It has a period Fresnel lens globe that is in good condition with a bit of chipping around the rim. But no cracks or structural damage. These brass lamps were re-produced by Perkins Marine Lamp Corporation but this one is an original 1800s light as shown by the beautifully decorated hanging ring at the top, careful handmade construction, etc. This one is also extra special in that it has the post fittings for use in a light house- it is missing the brass plate which would have marked it as such, but you can see where it used to be attached. These antique nautical lamps were used extensively for anchor lights, and after its life in a lighthouse it may have been used at the top of the mast during heavy fog or in the night to keep other ... moreships from running into the boat. It is missing the burner and bottom plate- it may have been wired for electric after the use of whale oil lamps declined, but please note that only what is in the pictures is included. This is a large nautical lantern measuring 14" tall and 6" wide. It is in"as found" condition with a dark patina on the brass, dirty glass, small dents, tiny cracks in the brass, and various other age/use related marks. It is 10 1/2" over all the the wall/boat mount area is a circle that is 6" across the center. It is very heavy at 6 pounds without packageing materials/box. It is in 3 pieces. The case that screws in over the light globe. The glass globe which also screws in and the back that the globe and case both screw into. The glass globe reads in raised glass"P C. CO. and also has a number too that reads"9-S-4971-L" and the globe has no broken glass at all. It is thick and domed. From an estate sale is this very unique Antique Vtg Brass Wall Mounted Oil or Kerosene Lamp. It measures 15" tall and is about 5" at its widest. The two glass window panes are intact and there is a panel that you open to access the wick of the lamp. The wick does move up and down ... moresmoothly and you remove the top to access the oil reservoir. There are no dents in the brass or damage just normal wear as seen in photos. You simply mount the round brass circle to the wall and slip the oil lantern into it. I've never seen one quite like this one and I hope I'm right that it is nautical because it certainly looks and feels like it is to me:o) Actual shipping is $24.90 to anywhere in the US or Canada. Heavy Antique Bronze Marine Deck / Anchor Light / Lamp- Tugboat or Lighthouse
This heavy bronze lamp has sliding panels side and bottom which both slide properly. Top threads off to reveal fixture which was probably a fixed porcelain socket originally. This lamp is excellent throughout with no damage. Dents or repairs. Weighs almost 10 pounds. I've included a soda can for scale reference. Measures 13" to the top of the handle. Obviously needs to be rewired to be put into use. This will ship by Fedex ground. I accept all forms of payment.
