Rare antique copper and brass ships lantern from the south Texas coast. Lantern is an ANCHOR brand made by W.T. GEORGE Co. Ltd. Sherlock Street, Birmingham 5. The main body measures 14 inches tall by 10 inches across. Has both an upper and lower arm to allow it to swing with the ships movement. It was electrified several with 16/3 wiring but it does not light up at this time. Pops a breaker so it it probably in the on/off switch built into the long electrical cord. Super conversation piece for that man cave.

Up for auction to U.S. customers only is an old ship's light with Fresnel glass(no chips or cracks to glass) It stands 15 inches tall and the wire cage is 8 inches across. I am not sure if the primary metal is brass. Copper or bronze- or a combination-but a magnet doesn't stick to it. It is very heavy. It is made by Oakford. There is a light bulb socket inside but it probably isn't original and, without the cord plug, I can't test it. If it was originally electric powered, then the wire outlet on the side looks like it held a much larger power cord. The lid screws onto the top for access to the inside. I'm not sure how it was used on board the vessel- some other listings refer to it as a mast light, others describe it for use on dock pilings, others say it lit the passageways on the ship. If anyone knows for sure, let ... moreme know and I'll add it to the listing. Overall it seems in very good condition with a few relatively minor scratches to the lower finish and, of course, the green discoloration which some people call patina and want it left on the piece so I didn't try to clean up that section(new owner can do that) I don't know anything else about this item so please ask questions. Vintage Rare Adlake Maritime Nautical Aluminum Electric Bridge Lamp No 1335. It has the red and green 60° draw span. Two green lenses and two red lenses 90° apart. The top and bottom caps are made of aluminum the bolts and stretchers between the lenses are made of cast-iron. It is electrified and it does work but I would recommend rewiring it just to be on the safe side. There is some rust and paint loss and it needs to be cleaned. The lenses are thick and heavy, made by Corning. The lenses have some chips but they are not cracked. It is about 11 1/2 inches tall and 8 1/2 inches wide. It is heavy about 16 1/2 pounds after it's packaged so shipping will be expensive I will try to ship the item as economical as possible. Please review all photos for item condition before bidding. It puts off a Beautiful fully adjustable Blue Glowing Light using a Vintage style 40w Edison light bulb with a full range Leviton dimmer switch. This awesome Antique ship lantern works perfectly and is in excellent vintage condition. The lantern was manufactured in the 1920's and is constructed of metal with brass hardware and a brass manufacturers name plate. This is a great find. This is an authentic vintage ships binnacle compass with built in oil or gas lamp. But this one has been converted to an electric table lamp. The little side cubby that would originally hold the oil now holds a small bulb and of course, another bulb at the top. Mounted on a nice wooden base, felted bottom. The compass/dial has been set so it does not move. I left the wonderful patina, but it could be cleaned and shined. I find no dings or dents. Antique Perko Marine Electric Lamp/Lantern Red
This antique lamp is in excellent condition for its age! The glass cover is still very clean and free of chips/cracks. The housing is a bit worn. And a little rusted, but other than that it's great. A few scratches& scuffs on the wood& metal parts. 1 socket was replaced some time in the past. I was told from a family member at the estate sale that these 2 ship's lamps were purchased in the 1940's by the grand parents. There are no shades or light bulbs supplied with the 2 lamps. This piece was purchased at an estate sale of a collector. I don't know much about it except that it is rare and vintage from the 1960s-70s. I was told that it is extremely rare to see a 7" lantern lamp piece designed as an electric table lamp. The lantern is signed and numbered"kingedwheel" No. 350.made in japan. see pix The condition is excellent for its age. With the only noticable wear being on the brass pole above wooden ball. large rare antique handmade Folk Art electric lighthouse nautical table lamp
This is a very rare large antique handmade wood and meta nautical light house electric table lamp. it is a lovely piece of nautical Folk Art and completely crafted and painted by hand. the actual lighthouse is made from metal and riveted together. the top watch tower is made from several detailed pieces of wood and has a handmade metal fence wrapping the edge. it has a clear glass shade with a carved wood and bronze finial. the bottom structure is made from wood with metal accents. it also has a light inside and both are operated from a switch in the back. the door opens and closes on hinges and is very well made. it is mounted to a rectangular wooden base. it measures 28 inches tall 18 inches long by10 1/4 inches wide. it's overall in nice condition and displays very well. it has normal ware from age and some paint loss on the bottom ... moreof the lighthouse cylinder. there is also a couple window panels missing on this structure. the lights both work wonderfully and is a great piece of nautical Folk Art. But thanks to the picture on the box, I know that this was never an oil lamp. This was an actual electric lamp that was manufactured and sold by Perko, and it was intended to be used inside the home. It is hard to read, but it looks like 1972 is the postmark date on the box. I have had this Perko hanging electric lamp for over a year now. And in that time, I haven't been able to find out anything about it. I haven't even been able to find a picture of another one online. If it weren't for the original shipping box, I wouldn't know anything about it at all. This lamp has some minor straches. But no dings or dents that I can see. The ... moreglass appears to be crack and chip free. I'm not sure if the lamp currently works, but it would be best to have it serviced and/or re-wired regardless. It is about 21" long(not including the length of the chain) weights around 10-12 lbs and it is made of solid brass. The patina is natural; not fake.

An antique heavy brass ships light that has been wired with an electric socket. Working with on off switch and bulb is included. Cord is about 3 ft long. 5 holes on top for hanger which is now plastic zip ties that could be replaced with something nicer. 2 ANTIQUE BRASS SHIP MARINE NAUTICAL LANTERNS ELECTRIC LAMP BIRDCAGE PERKINS
I apologize for the length but I wanted to be thorough. Up for sale are two antique nautical oil lanterns that were converted for electrical use. After some Internet research I found a match for these lanterns. They are not stamped but identically match the Perkins Marine Lamp Corporation models made during 1916 to 1931. These were considered a"standing light" and were used aboard US Naval torpedo boats. Battle ships and destroyers of the WW1 era, according to"Lanterns That Lit Our World" book 2 page 120 by Anthony Hobson. Size is 17.5 inches tall and about 9 pounds each. These may or may not have been used in that capacity but they due seem genuine even thought they are not stamped with a company name. In any case as you can see one is red and the other is green. The coloring does not seem to be original according to ... morethe research but you can decide whether to keep it that way or remove the paint. Both lanterns have colored bulbs that will come with this auction. Condition The paint on the red lantern is about 50% missing. It was difficult to get a good picture that represented how the red lantern looks with the bulb on. But there is a picture taken from inside the glass to show the condition of the paint. The red lantern also has 3 vertical seams and do not appear to be cracks. I believe the glass was replaced when they were converted since the lines are straight and do not appear to be damage related. The red lantern also has two screws in the bottom, see pic, to hold the bulb/lantern housing in place. The green lantern has a dent in the top, see pic. The"hanging hooks" are a bit out of square as seen in the pictures. I have not found any cracks or holes in the brass housing that should not be there. Both lights have pull strings to turn lights on and off without unplugging. Both have old two prong style plugs. The oil lamp bases are original aside from the electrical retrofitting that took place. There is some soldering and repair work on bulb housing but it cant be seen unless yo
