Vintage Brass Ships Oil Lantern -Caged Design-
Vintage nautical oil lantern. It has a really cool cage that covers the entire outside of the lantern to protect the glass. There is a wooden handle and the oil container and wick assembly was made by Wedge. It has not been polished or cleaned up at all since I bought it so all the patina is still on it. It is about a foot tall and 4" wide. It has some good weight to it and is a nice vintage piece that could also easily be converted to electric if desired. Please contact me with any questions. Antique nautical, ships lantern, brass, wall sconces
Nautical style. Antique, brass sconces. These pieces are used and need to be rewired. Rewiring is simple and should take no longer that 10 minutes. One sconce is missing the threaded rod mounting hardware but one can be found at your local hardware store. The finish is fair and could be cleaned up easily with Brasso or left with its natural patina. The glass globes are in good shape and don't need replacing. I had the intention of putting one red and one green globe in these to mimic ships lanterns. With a little tlc these will make a great nautical theme. Posted with

Very unusual and practical configuration. Solidly constructed of heavy brass and thick Fresnel glass. Highly domed top opens for cleaning. Knurled thumbscrews allow access to the main body. Interesting articulated swivel ring on the downhaul bail prevents lamp stressing while the vessel is rolling. Very thick'lighthouse' type Fresnel lens is marked with a triangle and the letters'GGG' Definitely worth some research. The heavy Fresnel lens provides significant magnification of the flame. Chimney shows attractive light rings from being blown into the mould. Usable with quality Lamp Oil or Kerosene. Burner works well. Beautiful Vintage Reproduction Brass Cargo Ships Lantern-Well Made
Wow.nice lantern! This all brass and glass lantern stands 15" tall and measures 6-1.4" x 6-1/4" It has 4 glass panels, all in good condition. The brass oil font inside slides out. It holds oil and has a wick. The wick raises with ease up from the flip top burner. All you would need to do is add oil. It was very well made. It weights almost 6 pounds and has a nice bale style handle with a loop at the top for hanging and also has loop tie downs on the sides for use on a ship. Two(2) antique Brass Ships Mast Lanterns Up for auction are two matching ships mast lanterns. These lamps were acquired by my dad on Long Island in the early 50's. My dad had them electrified. Wall mounts made and they served as our front door lamps for about 20 years until we moved to Pennsylvania where they were moved indoors and were mounted on our fireplace. I hung on to them for the past 25 years and kept them in storage. About 6 months ago I started to restore them to a working oil lamp and never finished the restoration(too many projects! About 35 years ago. I polished them and sprayed them with clear lacquer. They looked really good and could use a good polishing again. Cast brass F H Lovell ships light Chas Cory & Son Clear Globe Vintage Antique
I put a cord on this and it tested fine. The Chas Cory globe is very old. There are bubbles and distortions in the glass. It's a work of art in my eyes. The globe was washed in soapy water. It came out very nice. The brass was cleaned with a rag but not polished. Put this on a base and you will have a fine desk lamp. The possibility's are endless for this light fixture. It has the look it just needs a new home.

A 9,676-ton(light displacement) Admiral W. S. Benson-class transport built by the Maritime Commission to its P2-SE2-R1 design. Was commissioned in January 1945 with a largely Coast Guard crew. She departed San Francisco in March with troops and supplies for the Southwest Pacific, then moved to the Philippines where she embarked over 2,000 formerly interned civilians for repatriation to the United States. Converted Antique Marine Lamp Cargo Lantern Brass Viking Ships Steampunk
Antique Viking Cargo Lantern Converted to AC 110-120 v with Edison Bulb Just finished my latest conversion using an old Viking mast lantern using antique and vintage electrical parts. This is a larger Viking lamp. Measuring approx 14-1/2" from the base to the top not including the wire hangers. If the hangers are included it is about 21" Thought the original old lamp was too small for the conversion so I did not use it. Instead I used an antique porcelain fitting with a brass top from a part from an antique Aladdin oil lamp. These were joined by a friction fit and further cementing with high heat silicon which does not show. The on/off switch is also old. 1940 or older is my guess. All the wiring is new reproduction cloth covered twisted pair wire. The bulb, which is included, is a 60 watts. 8 filement reproduction Edison type bulb. ... moreThe lit bulb in my pictures doesn't show up well due to the brightness. It is quite beautiful to see when lit. At the end of the cord is an antique 2 prong vintage plug. likely 20's or 30's. This lamp was made to hang from a hook or wall bracket. Perhaps in a corner, over a period piece of furniture or in an alcove. Have put on extra wire that the buyer can trim to fit the space. The switch hangs free and was intended to hang conveniently down a wall for easy reach. This could be removed if the light were to be used with a wall switch or dimmer. The repro Edison bulb is included and is brand new but we do not guarantee them. They seem to be a bit more fragile regular bulbs. My experience is that they last longer if put on a dimmer and turned down about 10% We pack well and have shipped world wide since 1998. Fabulous Antique Ships Light Music Box Folk Art Piece Heavy Glass Brass Lantern
ALL Items with now be shipped INSURED. Please contact us immediately with any issues. This fabulous Estate Item is full of history! This ships lantern/light is actually a music box. Which is hidden underneath the top. The story behind this item is that ships lanterns and light fixtures were salvaged to make gifts. Much like upcycling is today. This light fixture/lantern was believed to be from a passenger ship, circa 1929. IT does appear to have been cleaned at some point, or this was possibly an inside lantern because there is very little pitting and wear from the salty air. We cannot confirm this story. But we assured the consignor we would share it with interested parties. The glass is heavy. Cut glass, with brass accents. The music box is semi-crude, but plays perfectly. 1920's Maritime Nautical Neptune Oil Lamp Brass Ships Lantern
Vintage 1920's maritime brass oil burning ships lantern. I have not polished it but it seems to be in great condition. There is no corrosion to the brass and the glass sides and chimney have no chips or cracks and there is just a small dent on the top. It is missing the wick. Please look at pictures closely. F H LOVELL& CO.Antique Brass Nautical Ships Lantern late 1800's lamp. This lantern looks great! The glass is thick and very old. There are no flaws.Chips or cracks in the glass. I was going to electrify this lantern but it would not go with any of our other decor.Just a couple of slight dents in the brass from use. Right now there is no means by which to light this lantern. I dropped in a light bulb to show off the color of the glass when illuminated. This is a great piece of history. F H Lovell started around the civil war era. It made marine lanterns primarily. By the early 1920's the name was changed because the company merged with a railroad lantern company so this lantern was most likely manufactured around 1880. The lantern is 10 inches tall(14 inches tall with handle) and the width is 9 inches in diameter.

Description Up for your consideration is a neat brass candlestick/chamberstick holder for use on ships(the holder sways with the waves) I purchased this at an auction featuring other antiques but I can't be sure of its age. Although it certainly looks vintage! Unfortunately I do not know its history or its maker. The holder is in great shape with only minor scratches. RARE Trio Vintage Ships Lantern Lamps Tung Woo Genuine Nautical Copper Brass
For sale is a trio of vintage lamps made using vintage copper and brass ship's lanterns made by Tung Woo of Hong Kong. The lamps have different colors of glass; green. Red, and clear(yellowish) The 3 ship lanterns are the same size, but one of them(with the clear glass) is primarily brass, is mounted on a taller wooden base, and is made into a lamp in a different style, making it taller than the other 2 lamps. The lanterns on the 2 small lamps appear to be primarily made of copper. The tops of the lanterns all open. The 2 smaller lanterns have silver-colored(chrome? reflectors installed behind the bulbs. The lamps all have 3-way switches, for lighting either 1) top bulb only, 2) lantern small bulb only, or 3) both bulbs. MEASUREMENTS 9 in height of each lantern(approx. 6 in width of each lantern(approx. I haven't rewired the 2 smaller lamps- and although I see no visible damage, as with all electrical items I sell, I recommend having the wiring checked by a professional, and replaced if recommended. Antique Copper & Brass Ships Navigation Light Nautical Marine Maritime Piling
Up for auction is a rare Vintage Copper& Brass Ships Navigation Light. Has a nice patina if you like that or should clean up nicely. This is electric and is supplied with a heavy duty cord. The top handle piece and vertical bars are brass. Along with the front plate, the rest is copper. The plate reads"All Around Green" BT 400" NK 77" The top handle reads"IP 56" On the glass are the words"IMCO R.I.N.A 5/1638-1648 DHI 09/03/76" Etched in the glass is BT13474(I'm thinking this is the ships inventory# Measures 13.5" tall including handle. Base is 8 1/4" x 8 1/4" Nice solid piece, almost 10 pounds. Glass is thick with no chips or cracks. Lights up beautifully. Small dent on one side at the bottom.
