The wide end with the glass measures 17 1/2 inches wide with the glass being right at 15 inches wide. The top mounting pipe we have installed is 10 inches long. You can make this light shorter by changing out this pipe with a shorter piece. Or you can make the light hang further down by adding a longer pipe. This pipe is common 1/2 inch black iron pipe you can buy at most hardware stores pre-threaded. We have used a hammered gold paint to give this iron pipe a matching brass look. The ceiling mount is 3 1/8 inches wide with four mount holes. This light has been re-wired with all new UL-Listed parts made by Westinghouse Electric. Our newly installed lighting hardware is rated for any voltage under 250 volts, so normal house power is not an issue. The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb with a wattage of less than 150 watts. Since the inside housing has very little space restrictions, you can even use the newer compact fluorescent bulbs, or a spot light with a common screw in base. Our wiring exits the center hole of the ceiling mount and we provide about 30 inches of extra wiring. When we find these lights. They are painted. We have removed the paint and polished the copper and brass. We do not try to polish our lights to the point they look new, so some buyers may spend some additional time doing additional polish work to get the light to your desired finish. Most people we have talked to hang our lights of this design with no additional polishing. This auction is for a very nice vintage brass nautical/maritime table lamp. The lamp has a 3 way lamp switch for dimmer or brighter light. There is an interior lamp light that provides a light glow through the glass globe. The glass globe is marked with GGG. The lantern has a nice brass finish and a boat rope that is wrapped around the wooden base. The lamp is marked Ankerlicht. The lamp comes with a burlap style shade. The bottom base is lined in felt. This lamp is in very nice condition and would make an excellent addition to your beach house or nautical themed decor. It has been well taken care of and almost appears like new. Vintage nautical Ship sconces lights Maritime Heavy Glass Brass Rare Beautiful
A very rare and beautiful pair of brass ship nautical Wall sconces. They could have been originally oil lights and converted to electric but I have no idea. They are made of heavy brass roughly 8lbs each with heavy steel bases. They are roughly 15 1/2" straightened up. The base or wall mount is 5 1/2" round as the same as the heavy glass bowl beneath the light. They are both are made to move which ever position you desire sideways. Up, down, etc. Just loosen the bolt and retighten. There is one bolt missing and there was another replaced. They are in exceptional condition with no breaks or repairs. As you can see in my picture the wall mount bases there is a slight discoloration which is very hard to see. The glass is very thick and it looks like one is a shade darker than the other and possibly one is greenish and the other is ... morereddish or darker green. They are both the same shape as also the lamps. They are identical. Don't know if because of the light over the years made one a bit darker than the other. Very hard to find these nautical sconces. I tried extensively to do some research but cannot find anything similar. I will leave it up to you. If they fit in your decor that is all that matter. Thankyou for previewing and goodluck.

Description: This is a large antique"birdcage" type oil lantern that was made between 1860 and 1890. It has a period Fresnel lens globe that is in good condition with a bit of chipping around the rim. But no cracks or structural damage. These brass lamps were re-produced by Perkins Marine Lamp Corporation but this one is an original 1800s light as shown by the beautifully decorated hanging ring at the top, careful handmade construction, etc. This one is also extra special in that it has the post fittings for use in a light house- it is missing the brass plate which would have marked it as such, but you can see where it used to be attached. These antique nautical lamps were used extensively for anchor lights, and after its life in a lighthouse it may have been used at the top of the mast during heavy fog or in the night to keep other ... moreships from running into the boat. It is missing the burner and bottom plate- it may have been wired for electric after the use of whale oil lamps declined, but please note that only what is in the pictures is included. This is a large nautical lantern measuring 14" tall and 6" wide. It is in"as found" condition with a dark patina on the brass, dirty glass, small dents, tiny cracks in the brass, and various other age/use related marks. Colonial Nautical BRASS SHIP'S Lantern Colonial Williamsburg Vintage Great lantern is made from heavy gauge brass with side guards to protect the glass. This was purchased in 1960s/ 70s in Colonial Williamsburg and is candle based. The lantern measures 11" tall/12 1/2" with handle standing. The base is 4" square and the outside guards take the width to 5 1/2" It is in great vintage condition; the brass has some wonderful patina and minor marks. While it was purchased at Colonial Williamsburg. There are no marks, there does seem to be remnants of a label on the top rim- we cannot make out if this indicated Colonial Williamsburg, the manufacturer, or the pricing details. It weighs a little over 12 pounds. I'm not sure if it's copper or brass. It's also very LARGE. It measures about 13 1/2" tall, 13 3/4" wide and is approximately 9 1/2" deep from each corner to the back. It was a originally a kerosene or oil ship's lantern. It's an amazing light! It's in excellent working condition, it's been newly re-wired& has an antique switch in the front(converted to electric) The switch is turned to right each time you want to turn it off or no. It has a removable red port glass(see photos of it turned on, with and without the red glass) The clear glass has a small 1/2" chip in one of the ... moreribbed sections; it's a very heavy thick glass so this does not compromise anything. Near the top of the lamp there's an emblem that has the numbers"3883" There is also some etching on both the clear and red glass. I wonder if this belonged to a military ship. As most items on those ships were marked with serial#s etc. The writing on each glass piece says"DHJE 3883, No. 654, E.31.5.61" It's not very noticable and you can't see it unless you really look; it's not seen when the light is on. Condition wise.it's vintage! There are a few dings& dents. Some areas of wear etc.but considering it was a ship light, it's going to have a weathered old look, which I personally prefer. Anchor Ships Lantern(Not a Reproduction) This is a very large antique ships lantern marked as"Anchor" To the best of my knowledge it has all parts needed to burn oil. Please view pictures to augment my description. It is not electrified and it is NOT a reproduction. Lamp measures a stately 23" to top of handle. 18" tall without handle and at its widest a 10" diameter. With the exception of a dent in the brass at the base the lantern is in excellent condition. Lantern inner chimney has a couple of chips and a crack at the bottom where it sits in base. This can be easily replace but I beleive that this one is original so I will not replace. Offered here is this beautiful antique brass ship maritime marine lamp. It is in original untouched condition. It may need to be cleaned or polished but I am selling it as is as some collectors like things in original condition and also. I wouldn't know what cleaner to use so as not to ruin the natural patina. The light still has the original wiring intact. There are no chips or cracks to the glass that I can see. The protective cage around the glass globe is intact. The lamp is in overall nice condition. You are bidding on the vintage cast brass Ship's nautical passageway ceiling light shown in the above photos. This light measure about 8 1/2 inches tall and about 4 inches wide. The base has three mount holes that are about 2 1/2 inches off the center of the light. The globe is glass and in good condition. The light weighs almost 5 pounds. You can access the bulb area by unscrewing the cage and then unscrewing the glass globe. The glass is undamaged. But could use some additional cleaning. The cage and the glass globe screw on and off with little effort. This light has been totally rewired with all new UL-Listed parts rated for any voltage of ... more250 volts or less. The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 100 watts or less. The new wires exit from the new hole we drilled on the bottom of the light, and the original conduit holes have been plugged with copper caps. These lights were recovered from one of our many salvage operations. These lights will have some minor wear that may include bending to the cage ribs. While we have removed most of the original paint and polished the light, some buyer may want to do additional polishing work. The cage has one broken rib near the threaded ring on the bottom side. Not a big issue. But I just want to point it out. This can also be seen in the attached photos. This light can be used inside or outside. It will never rust! If you have questions. A brass"MASTHEAD" plaque surmounts the hood of this VINTAGE NAUTICAL LANTERN. It stands 14-1/2 inches tall. Not including handle. Features CURVED GLASS LENS and curved metal reflector plate, Sturdy brass mounting brackets on back- presumably for affixing to the mast of a sailing ship. Constructed of brass, glass, and brass plating over- judging from the tarnish- probably copper? This is most likely an older decorative reproduction. It's rendition is very faithful. The older piece has very heavy obvious use wear throughout metal is smooth no ridges left. Both have wear are dirty and tarnished throughout. Both weigh 1 pound 14 ounces each so a good copy I would say. Could also be 2nd piece was handled less but my though its a copy. The bases are exact underneath so maybe just a replaced ball and stem holder.

Nice Old Brass Nautical Ship Lamp with Red Clear & Green Glasses NO RESERVE
Measures approx. 9-1/2" high to top of cap and 11-3/4" to top of handle. Made entirely of brass with glass lenses. The only marking or name that I could find anywhere is"THE MILLER CO. U.S.A. on the wick adjustment knob. And one side of the wick cover is signed"1925. This lantern apparently was electrified at one time, as there is a small hole neatly punched through the backside near the base. Otherwise it is complete and needs only light cleaning and polishing. A good old one, probably 1920-1940 vintage. I will combine shipping whenever possible, and normally will ship worldwide within one day of receiving payment. R.I. residents must add 7% sales tax. Antique Brass Nautical Ship's Lantern with Vintage Patina
Lamps are. For the most part, boring creatures. They are quite useful for reassuring yourself that there are, in fact, no murderous clowns hidden in your guest room, but when it comes to design, your standard, run of the mill lamp can be a bit yawn-inducing. Luckily, there are enterprising people out there that like to make lamps out of awesome things, hence how this Ship's Lamp was born. I am unsure whether this was once oil-burning, but regardless, electric is where it's at right now, due to the fact that we have it, however, once the zombie apocalypse happens, this lovely artifact will be rendered useless. I have a pair of rare vintage brass Perko marine ship's lamps or lanterns. They used to be kerosene or oil but were converted to electric. They are in wonderful shape with no dents or damage and everything is intact. they do however have wear that is consistent with age. Each lantern has a finger lamp inside that is removable as shown in the pictures. A 4 inch reflector/ mirror, and 3 glass panels. Each is also stamped with a brass tag that reads" PERKO Manufacturer's Reg. Trademark Perkin's Marine Lamp& Hardware Corp. Miami Florida USA" on the front and another stamp on the back that reads the same thing. They both measure almost 14" tall. one being about 1/4" taller than the other one. You can definitely tell that these gems were handmade. These are very cool nautical decorations or gifts!
