This is a Bow light for the front of a speed boat. It is signed: SeissToledo. Ohio Made In USA. The lights measure 5 1/4" in length. The Green lense does have a tight crack running through the threaded area up towrds the nose about 3/4" The metal washers on the mount show some light rust. The inside of the light bodies is also very clean and free of battery acid. A nice clean example. The photos show the condition well. Very Good Overall Condition! Extremely Rare Brass 1928-34 Dee-Wite Red/Blue Boat Bow Light Glass Lens
A very rare near impossible to find Dee-Wite bow light from between 1928 to 1934. In very good solid non-restored condition with no damage. Made to hold a flag pole. Glass lens are near perfect except a tiny nibble on the blue lens that you cant see in the pictures. I believe originally this was nickle plated but all the nickle plate has been rubbed off. A few traces can still be seen here and there. There is no wiring and this is just the brass housing with red and blue lens. Measures 7 1/8 inches long at the base and stands 3 3/4 inches tall. Here is a BEAUTY of an old VINTAGE/ANTIQUE PERKO ship/ boat running light. This is an ORIGINAL BRONZE or Brass not sure very heavy 6 pounds. This is a HUGE 10 inch long x 5 1/2 wide x 5 inch tall ORIGINAL PERKO. This has a clear glass and the GLASS is in MINT CONDITION Has a really nice PURPLE TINT TO THE GLASS FROM YEARS OUT ON THE WATER. There are no cracks or chips in the glass. The Bronze has a few chrome specs remaining in a couple of spots and a couple of faint very minor spots-scratches. There is a mark on the rim photo 6 and there are a couple of foundry pour marked when it was made photo 7. Has polished up very nice. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE STUNNER OF A PIECE from a time gone by. I am not sure if this might have been a STERN LIGHT. There is NO light in the housing but the socket is there as well as the circular marked PERKO light plug ... morephoto 12 reads PERKO. Here is a VERY NICE OLD heavy 2 1/2 pound BRONZE/BRASS Boat Bow Light. This has a red/green plastic lens held to the light with a front screw on bracket. This appears to have been once chrome plated and there are a couple of specs where some has remained but it mostly a"HIGH GLOSSY POLISHED" Light. This"TEARDROP STYLE" light is about 5 1/4 long and 4 inches tall. There is a mounting bracket base that is attached to the light base ALL ONE PIECE. There are no mounting screws. There is wiring but no inside bulb. I do not know what type of old boat this came from but I have not seen one like this. VERY UNIQUE PIECE. There is a slot on top where a flag would be mounted. Vtg Perkins PERKO Marine Boat Lamp Starboard Bow Green Red Glass Light Lantern
This listing is for a vintage Perkins PERKO Marine boat Kerosene Lamp. Finding one in better condition than this one will be a challenge. The lamp is made of Galvanized metal and has a Brass Top/Finial and the Kerosene lights hardware is made of Brass. The Dark Green and red lens are made of Glass and are chip and damage free. The design of this lamp is different than most others. The inside hardware is accessible from the bottom of the lamp only. It has ingenious spring loaded tabs of each side. If you want to pull out the hardware you simply squeeze the tabs and pull the hardware out. As you can see from the photo's the Brass hardware is in excellent condition and includes what is probably the original wick.I think this lamp has spent most of it's life indoors. The outside Galvanized Metal is also in excellent condition. Nothing ... moreis loose. All corners etc very tight construction. The top finial piece with hanging loop is made of Brass. I did not clean this. Left the original patina. I did however clean the Brass Perkins/ Perko identification tag because I could not read what it says. Antique Vintage Red Bow Boat Light Mounted on Clamp Port Side Maritime Works
This is most likely considered an antique(50+ years old) The only stamp on it. Is on the"on switch" and it simply says, Made In USA" I bought it from an elderly man that was down-sizing. It was described as a"Red Bow" boat light. It's for the"port" side of the boat. It's battery operated and the stainless steel housing is in very good condition, having maybe 2 small"pit marks" The red plastic lens is also in great shape, having only 1 or 2"rub marks" The metal clamp is a flat colored metal and would clean up nicely, there is one small area of surface rust(1-2" on the inside, but the finish is smooth in that area so there is no structural damage, at all. The"turn screw" that tightens the clamp to the boat, is bent and could use a bit of straightening out. The light ... morestill works, I turned it on and took pictures of it, lit up. The light, itself, measures nearly 7" in length. The clamp's inside width is 2 5/8" It's a really great light. I've looked at a number of boat lights online and have yet to find a similar one. It would make a great addition to the collection of someone that collects maritime items!

Antique unique boat bow running light/handmade/late 1800s - early 1900s
This is a rare. Unique handmade bow running light that I would say dates to the late 1800s or early 1900s. It is galvanized metal in a triangular shape- there is a door in the back that slides up to install illumination. One the front, there are two loops which must have been used to attach it to something on the bow. I have never seen a bow light like this and living on the Northeast Coast, I see a lot of them. I believe this is a handmade effort. As for illumination, this may or may not have had a simple burner- it may also have had only candle power. It has never been electrified. Inside, there are three posts that would have held either a small burner of candle. Size is 10" high, by 8" across the back by 6&1/2" deep. Condition is as found and as shown. Please look at all photos to form your own idea of quality and condition. ... moreThere are traces of old paint. The green glass has many bubbles in it- the red, less so. I would say the red may be later than the green. In addition, there is a hairline crack/break of the red but it is quite stable as it sits and is barely noticeable. I would say this lamp is in very good condition for its age. Overall, this is a beautiful form that speaks volumes of the ingenuity of the men who went out to sea in the late 1800s and early part of the 1900s. US ship only. Thanks for looking!

This is a vintage bow light that is a bolt on unit and can be removed when not needed. It came in a box of fishing and hunting items. It's made in USA. I can't see a manufacturers name though. It has patent no. 2301714 on both sides. The internals look good. This wasn't stored with a battery in each side. So it's not all corroded or anything. The bulbs look clean and the parts look good, the inner housing have some light rust. The external parts show it's age. It could be cleaned up. But, I don't like to clean and shine old items, I would rather sell them as they come, as they look, and let the buyer decide. So, what it looks like is what it is. Brass Bow Light for a Small Boat - Circa 1930
This is a nice brass bow light with red and blue fresnel lenses that I purchased at an estate sale in upstate New York last year. It measures approximately 9" in height excluding the ring at the top. 5" in width and 7 1/2" in depth including the brass flange in the front. A flap opens at the bottom to access the kerosene lighting device. There is no maker's name on this lamp but a little research would probably reveal who made it. In my opinion this item is in very good condition; however. There are two things you should know. First, there are numerous spots of verdigris on the right side of the flange and to the rear of the red lens. These are clearly visible in the photos. I'm sure these could be removed with a little brass polish. Second, one of the brass clips that holds the lighting device in place is missing. ... moreAgain, please check the photo. There are also a few very tiny stress fractures at the rear of the top portion of the lantern that are barely worth mentioning. While these brass bow lights are not particularly rare. It is dented on back of lamp and missing one screw. it appears to be adjustable. I have not truly cleaned this item. The base is almost 4 1/2" in diameter and is stamped. S&J. This is STEELE& JOHNSON(boat,house) I'm not sure what year it was made(30's,40's? although it is from an old estate. the height is about 7" at that angle. I don't know if it could be wired? BRASS OIL FIRED "BUG EYE" WOODEN LAKES BOAT BOW LIGHT EARLY 1900,S UN-RESTORED
You are bidding on a seldom seen turn of the century"bug eye" oil fired wooden lakes boat bow light. Body is brass with crack free"bug eye" glass lenses. Has a small extra hole drilled shown in photo.S in lower corner. Probably to electrify at one point? Could easily be repaired if desired. Not that noticeable but should be mentioned! I feel it would be a shame to destroy the patina this has developed over the years by cleaning this item. Comes with original oil font. There are no markings on light that i can find. Has a flange on back door to aide in mounting. These lights were often removed after lakes voyage to be cleaned and refilled. I got this item in the early 60,s from my grandparents lake cottage in upstate N.Y. They had built the camp in the 1920,s for summer use. It was in a out building for as long as i can ... moreremember as a kid,visiting in the summers. You will find very few original"bug eye" bow lights in your travels! This is a very nice vintage bow light most likely from a Chris Craft. The glass has no cracks. There are a couple of very minor edge chips inside that can't be seen unless you are searching for them. Hardly worth mentioning) The glass I believe was clear but has a purple tint from age. The light fixture and bulb are inside but not wired or tested. The hole for the flag is 1 1/8" across. And is not slanted. The Chrome is presentable but would need replating if putting on a restored boat. There is a# inside which appears to be 5701. The light is chrome over brass. THIS IS A VERY NICE VINTAGE PERKO BOW BOAT NAVIGATION LIGHT. THE INSIDE IS EMPTY THERE IS NO LIGHT INCLUDED. YOU ARE GETTING JUST THE CASE. THE GLASS DOES HAVE A FEW MINOR SCRATCHES WHICH IS TO BE EXPECTED FOR ITS AGE. ONE OF THE"RIBS" APPEAR TO BE CHIPPED BUT IT IS A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT. THERE IS ALSO A SPOT ON THE RED SIDE. THEY ARE NOT SHARP LIKE YOU WOULD EXPECT A CHIP TO BE. YOU GET RED AND GREEN GLASS INCASED IN BRASS THAT DOES HAVE SOME PETINA BUT CAN BE EASILY POLISHED.
