I couldn't find ... moreanything on the light that a magnet would stick too. It seems to be structurally in good condition. The brass could use cleaning and polishing as there's a lot of patina to the brass. The thin strip around the top and bottom of the light have some small slits. Maybe for fitting the brass around the body of the light. The light is also adjustable to be able to aim the light. The half label on the back is a Perko label. Heavy and well made. It has a GE bulb and I was told it works. The wiring is frayed and you should definitely have it checked out or rewired if you're planning on using it as a light though. See the pictures for more detail. Antique& Vintage Solid Brass Gimbaled Ship Nautical Candle Holders Wall Sconces. I write Antique& Vintage as 1 looks to be a copy of the original small differences can be seen in pics 2& 3. The older piece has very heavy obvious use wear throughout metal is smooth no ridges left. Both have wear are dirty and tarnished throughout. Both weigh 1 pound 14 ounces each so a good copy I would say. Could also be 2nd piece was handled less but my though its a copy. The bases are exact underneath so maybe just a replaced ball and stem holder.

Lantern has maker marks of"S.Co.Ltd. 1941" Im not sure if this is a ship lantern, railway lantern or what- I dont know much about these. Lantern is in great condition and all pieces seem to be there. Lantern measures 20" tall with handle extended up. The wick key is attached to side and wick turn knob works good. No broken glass on paynes and side door works good. Antique Brass Nautical Ship's Lantern with Vintage Patina
Lamps are. For the most part, boring creatures. They are quite useful for reassuring yourself that there are, in fact, no murderous clowns hidden in your guest room, but when it comes to design, your standard, run of the mill lamp can be a bit yawn-inducing. Luckily, there are enterprising people out there that like to make lamps out of awesome things, hence how this Ship's Lamp was born. I am unsure whether this was once oil-burning, but regardless, electric is where it's at right now, due to the fact that we have it, however, once the zombie apocalypse happens, this lovely artifact will be rendered useless. Antique Brass / Glass Marine Oil Lantern Case- Nice Nautical Decor
A nice old brass and glass oil lantern with a brass cage over glass design. This originally held a small brass oil lamp which I do not have. The lantern has all four sides. The side that opens does not have the original hinge. When at rest on a table the door stays shut just fine. The brass edge that held the hinge pin slips inside and. When you close the hasp, the door stays in place. You may want to put a hinge on it to get it to swing open like it is supposed to. Either way, perfectly serviceable as is. We use it outdoors with an outdoor candle and it has a nice nautical look. It has a wood and brass handle for carrying. Overall in good condition but could use a good polishing and a cleaning. The glass is all good but one small corner has some loss on the inside(see close up photo) Obviously there are some minor dings and bends in the ... morebrass. I have a pair of rare vintage brass Perko marine ship's lamps or lanterns. They used to be kerosene or oil but were converted to electric. They are in wonderful shape with no dents or damage and everything is intact. they do however have wear that is consistent with age. Each lantern has a finger lamp inside that is removable as shown in the pictures. A 4 inch reflector/ mirror, and 3 glass panels. Each is also stamped with a brass tag that reads" PERKO Manufacturer's Reg. Trademark Perkin's Marine Lamp& Hardware Corp. Miami Florida USA" on the front and another stamp on the back that reads the same thing. They both measure almost 14" tall. one being about 1/4" taller than the other one. You can definitely tell that these gems were handmade. These are very cool nautical decorations or gifts!

Here is a beautiful. Nicely patinaed, oil lamp, made by Weem's& Platt. This lantern is numbered, early make, and came off a 68' Coranado sailboat that has sailed over seas and back many times. It's in excellent shape and can be polished if need be, however I don't suggest it. It comes with a gimbal mount for leveling the lamp while boating. Nautical style. Antique, brass sconces. These pieces are used and need to be rewired. Rewiring is simple and should take no longer that 10 minutes. One sconce is missing the threaded rod mounting hardware but one can be found at your local hardware store. The finish is fair and could be cleaned up easily with Brasso or left with its natural patina. The glass globes are in good shape and don't need replacing. This light was converted to an indoor display light but it still has the original three sockets if someone wants to return it to its original use as a nautical light. Either way this nautical light will display well. New/Used: Used. Approximate Dimensions in Inches- Length: 10” Diameter: 5 ½” Condition: Very good. The previous owner converted it to an indoor display light. The only two things we did were clean/inspect the glass lens and replacing the light cord. Which was defective. There is some corrosion and oxidation on the original three light sockets. The lens is intact with the exception of a crack near the new light bulb that was added. This crack is not that noticeable and can only ... morebe seen when the light is on. It does not appear to go all the way through the glass because you can’t feel it with your fingernail on either the inside or outside. Please see the last picture depicting this flaw. Offered for sale is this Wilcox Crittendon(Navy? nautical lantern. Brass plate on bottom of lantern reads: Wilcox Crittendon& Co. Inc. Middletown. Conn USA" This lantern features a clear glass globe. Brass top and a brass fount. The overall condition of this lantern is very good and displays well as is. However, it does need a good cleaning and the hinge which attaches to the bottom plate needs to be re-soldered. The extent of restoration such cleaning and stripping is up to the discretion of the new owner. The lantern measures approximately 10 inches high(without handle) and 15 1/4 inches high with handle raised. The base measures 5 1/2 inches in diameter. This is an Antique Nautical Bow or Stern Lantern Lamp.Clear Ribbed Front Lens has a crack.The Piece is made of either Brass or Copper but has been painted over black apparently several times but I do see some areas of rub off that shows it to be brass or perhaps copper.The Lantern has a Drop down Bottom secured by a pull latch.I guess either an Oil Lamp or Candle would be placed on the bottom to illuminate the lantern.The LANTERN measures 17 1/2" tall x 7 1/4" wide x 6 1/4" deep.Due to the CLEAR LENS this was used either has a Bow or Stern Light.Pretty Cool Old Lantern!I can find no stamp manufacturer marks however. Due to the amount of paint those marks could be filled in and if the paint removed perhaps a MFG mark could be found.Thanks for looking!

Although I could not find any markings. Use your own judgment. And look at the pictures carefully. They probably date back to the 1890s. The brass has been painted over with black paint. They both have been wired for electricity and don’t have their burners. Although their reflectors are present. They measure approximately 17” high to the top of the handle. And 7-1/4” wide. One lantern still has its mounting bracket. And the globe has a crack on the side(approx. 3” long) Also that cap on top is missing a small piece where it would attach to the lantern. Antique nautical marine lantern brass fresnel lens lamp
Up for bids is a wonderful old lamp from a local estate. It stands about 10 1/4" tall not including the ring on top. It measures about 5 1/2" wide. The lamp was electrified at some pint long ago. The original burner was removed and a porcelain socket was installed in its place. The cord. Switch and plug are all in good shape. The socket takes a standard base light bulb. It comes with a mounting bracket attached to a pine board. The board measures about 10 5/8"x 6" The board is varnished and has nicely chamfered edges. The bracket does not look original to the lantern, but does a good job and holds the lantern snugly in place. I have used this lamp on a table as well as on the wall. It makes a great accent light. Fresh from an estate nautical collection is a Vintage PERKO Brass Ship Lantern. Glass marked Perkins Mfr. Anchor, Lens No. 21. This brass navigation lamp has been electrified for modern use and is in very good condition for its age. No breaks or cracks, marks on glass is reflection from camera light flash. Some minor scratches as to be expected on a Lamp this old, some soldering, needs plug, one cage wire slightly bent. This vintage ship lantern Height is about 13 1/2" to top of handle, 12" without the handle, approx 6" diameter. Please look at pictures for more accurate description. THESE SCARCE ANTIQUE HAND FORGED CANDLESTICKS ARE IN EXCELLENT ORIGINAL CONDITION. THESE WERE SHIPS LANTERNS MADE IN THE 1700s AND BOTH ARE WEIGHTED IN THE BASES TO KEEP THEM STEADY IN THE SHIPS. THEY HAVE DRIP TRAYS UNDERNEATH WHERE THE CANDLE SITS. BOTH HAVE DENTS DINGS AND ONE HAS HAD A VERY EARLY REPAIR. ONE OF THE BASES IS NOT COMPLETELY SEALED AND HAS A SMALL SPOT WHERE IT WOULD LEAK THE SAND OUT IF YOU HOLD IT ON THE SIDE. I CANT STRESS HOW COOL AND UNUSUAL THESE ARE.
