Condition: Used Location: Hyde Park, United States offered for sale is a fabulous r j horner true mahogany partner's desk. it is the largest model i believe. the top is 56 inches wide. 34 inches deep, ... moreand 32 inches tall. the knee hole is a bit over 24 inches tall. on each side there are two drawers on the right and a middle drawer over the knee hole. on the left is a door on each side that opens with folder dividers placed within. one side is a mirror image of the other, there are no fake doors, drawers, etc. on this piece. it is a very clean and neat piece and in near mint condition. there are few bumps and bruises here and there, but none that are noteworthy nor do they take away from the structure, function, and beauty of the desk. the mahogany in the piece is very good and is flame mahogany with wonderful grain throughout. i hope the pictures are good enough to display the beauty of this desk. of course the desk is not for everyone, just for those who want the best. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at the buyer's expense. i can help arrange transportation if that would be beneficial to anyone. good luck. by the way, these are quite rare and hard to come by. the last one i saw sell brought 16K at an auction with a 15 per cent buyers premium, which put it up to 18,400 when the smoke cleared.

Huge- the top measures 60 1/4" by 46" 2 sided- each side has a set of 4 drawers on one pedestal side and the other a door with 4 cubbyholes and ... more2 large vertical compartments. Condition: Very good. Complete condition in need of finish refinishing and with 3 draws in need of minor repairs. The paneled side pedestal are very good, no loose joints or other structural problems. In our opinion the pedestal and drawer fronts could be lightly sanded and then varnished to suit your tastes- glossy or satin or flat finish. The top and writing slide out boards would likely need to be stripped or sanded and likely stained before finishing. All in all, not a very big restoration process. The 4" drawers on the door side both need to be repaired. The one has a large ink stain in the bottom of the drawer. One of the 4" long drawers has a loose bottom panel. On the drawer pedestal sections three of the drawers measure 4" deep x 12 1/2" wide by a whopping 23" long! The larger drawer is 9 7/8" deep x 12 1/2" wide and is also 23" long! The door pedestal sections each contain a set of 4 cubbyholes which measure 4" wide by 4 1/2" high by 14" deep. The divided vertical file compartments measure 15 1/4" high by 3 3/4" wide by 14" deep. Antique DOUBLE PARTNERS DESK Dark Walnut from Glove Factory Gloversville, NY 6'+
Picked up this amazing double partners' desk at an auction in Upstate. NY where I live(and get many of my items) It was originally used in a glove factory in Gloversville, New York. The city was named"Gloversville" because it was the hub of glovemakeing for many years. I n 1890–1950. 90 percent of all gloves sold in the United States were made in Gloversville. The dimensions are 76" wide, 35" tall at front-30" tall at seated area, 34" deep. I haven't weighed it but I'd guess It's around 300lbs. The desk may be older than I estimated. But wanted to go with a safe estimate of age. I've never seen a double-desk like this. It has two"hidden" compartments in the front. There's a key to open them but does not want to work. A couple of the spindles on the top are missing and black tape ... morehas been put around part of the leather top years ago to keep it in place. Other than that. There's no real flaws outside of what's shown in the photos. And for something this old and rare from a blue-collar manufacturing company during America's glory days of making stuff right here in the good old U.S. of A. ANTIQUE PARTNERS DESK CUSTOM ARCHITECT DESIGN ONE OF A KIND
Up for auction is a wood craftsman custom made architect's partners desk. It came out the First Colony Developers Office in Atlanta. It sits on dual wood casters. The side supports are tenon and mortise joints, the top is pegged, and the drawers are dove tailed. It has beautiful carvings throughout. The drawers are 29" long inside. The desk measures 6' x 5' and completely comes apart down to the main cabinet. The top is made of two pieces together that is 1-3/4" thick and has had some professionally repair done on the laminated top edges. I'm not a furniture expert but based on the casters and hardware it would likely date back to the 40's maybe earlier. All the drawers have locks but no keys. The one door has the old barrel type skeleton key but got bent up somewhere along its journey. It goes in to the slot ... morebut does not operate the lock. Please look at the photos closely. Antique Early 1900's French Partners Desk - Very Ornate and Rare
Up for sale is what I believe to be an early 1900's vintage French Partner's Desk. All original(except for a refinish) Done in Country French/Art Nouveau style. The desk came with a one-page signed appraisal from May 10, 1982 showing a value of $7500.00. I had a current full appraisal report done on the piece(including a Certificate of Authenticity) on May 27th of this year which shows a fair market value of $3200.00 and an Insurance value of $3840.00. I was unhappy with some of that appraiser's findings and disagreed with some of her opinions, so I also brought the desk to"Antiques Roadshow" here in Albuquerque in July. Their"Expert Appraiser" had a much different opinion of the piece, but still valued it in the $3500.00 to $4000.00 range. Unfortunately, the Roadshow absolutely prohibits giving anything in ... morewriting, so the only proof of an appraisal or value given from them is if you get on TV(which I did not) I think you'll agree, however, that his opinions of the piece are much more likely than the opinions in the written report(read-on) Differences: Well. First off is a big one.The appraisal report I have states that the wood is Satin Walnut whereas the Expert from the Roadshow clearly stated the primary wood was mahogany. I'm no wood expert, but I can certainly take close-up pics and/or follow instructions to help you determine the wood type. Secondly, the appraisal report states that the original desk dates to the early mid 19th century(1800-1850 or so) and the Art Nouveau carvings as well as the"checkered" inlays on the top were added later. The Roadshow expert strongly disagreed with this stating that the entire desk dated from about 1910 and was all-original. Lastly(and what makes me most suspicious about the appraisal report) the appraiser thought that the inlays on the top were actually put there as chess boards. She even mentions in the report"Later Art Nouveau carvings were added to the desk as well as two chess boards on the top of the desk, and

The style has become more popular as time has gone by. While having been made around 1940. This partners desk was probably not used by the military, but was made in that style. Both sides are identical and consist of a large cabinet in the left pedestal and a bank of regular drawers in the right. The middle drawers have locks but no key remains. The top is a lovely black leather that appears new. This leather has a lovely gold tooling around the outside. Leather makes a fabulous writing and work surface and has an incredibly handsome look. Mahogany is the wood used to construct the desk and it has a lovely grain and color. This antique campaign desk does separate into the top and two pedestals for easier moving. Antique Vintage Partners Desk with Industrial flare. Cira1920s to 1930s with incredibly unique Ford Model T buggy top instead of leather top. Why partners desk? Because two people can sit across from each other. We've owned it since 1984 and have been told by several professionals not to refinish it due it's incredibly unique nature. That said. it's a cool furnishing with character and wear. 8 drawers per side(16 total) 1 return per side that pulls out above top drawer on right side(2 total) Over dimensions: 47" x 60" x 30" tall Chair openings are: 26.25" wide 27.5 tall at center tapering to 25.5" tall at inside desk edge. Relatively easy to move and get through restrictive hallways and spaces. The top comes free from the two pedestals. Each pedestal is 16' wide x 47" long.
