It has a width of 49.5" ... moreand a depth of 31.5" The kneehole height is 27.25" to the bottom of the cross board and the width is 29" The bottom section of the desk has four small drawers on the right side with a pullout writing surface above it. The right side has two small drawers above a larger file drawer. The divider board in this drawer is broken. There is also a pullout writing surface abov this bank of drawers. Only one of the other six drawers has a divider section in it. The remaining pieces are missing. There is a locking mechanism on the bottom section. It is a little sticky. All of the drawers have decorative fan style handles made from wood. The top section has various sized cubbies and only one drawer. There are two pencil trays that hang at the center and the section above these trays pulls out to reveal hidden trays as well. The roll top on this is in great condition and slides up and down smoothly. This section also locks with the original key. There is a vintage metal pencil sharpener attached to the top right side of this. There are age and use appropriate imperfections. Scratches, dings, and dents on this that enhance the character. There is what appears to be an inkk stain on the top and there is also some stains in the drawers. There is also age darkening to the wood. ROLLTOP DESK - Antique Large Tiger Oak C style
Large Antique Tiger Oak Finish C style ROLLTOP DESK with interior drawers and cubicles circa 1900. This was obviously a mid-level managers desk. Extremely useable(and fun) with heavy solid wood and no expensive brass to polish. I have used it on a regular basis since I picked it up at an auction in 1971. Condition: signs of wear consistent with age and use. Various use marks, stains and scratches. no keys) Excellent restoration project. Please view the pictures. There was a repair to deal with a weakness in the desk when the roll-top is removed. Several minor repairs are still needed. But I choose not to make them so that I didn't mess up the value of the desk by doing them wrong. All of the original wood and screws are present for the repairs. A vintage Roll Top Desk made of Oak. Circa 1920. We are pleased to present this vintage Roll Top Desk for your consideration. It is made of solid Oak wood and dates to around the 1920's. The Desk has seven(7) drawers. The center one with individual lock, and the others locking when the roll top is down. A variety of nooks and compartments offer storage above the desk surface. The height of the upper section is low enough to allow this piece to be placed in the open, and still offer a view behind the Desk. The back is finished, further assisting an open placement. Keys are included for the two major locks, but missing for the small compartment near the right side(see last picture) The Desk measures 43 inches high. 54 inches wide, and 30-1/2 inches deep. We did not find any marks on it to identify the manufacturer. Wear is consistent with the age of the piece. Exterior surfaces look quite good with only a few areas of worn finish. I have had this desk since 1990. I bought it in texas but LEOPLOLD is a IOWA manufacturer. It has been refininshed but the original label on center pull out drawer has original label. the roll top it beautiful and the backing cloth is solid. there are a few knicks and stains about. But it has great colors and pattern. I have moved into a smaller house so it has to go. It is now located in richmond virginia. uship would be a value way to get it where it needs to go. the drawers slide well the file dividers are all in. For your consideration. I have an antique tiger oak roll top desk from the early 1900's. This has the original finish- has a one inch hole at the end of one of the slats on roll top. It is 60" wide and 34" deep. One of the drawers inside needs the front reattached to drawer. This is in great condition with just a few imperfections! Great piece of furniture! This listing is for an antique tiger oak roll top desk from the early 1900's. It has the original finish. It measures approximately: 50" wide 34" deep 43" high from floor to top of rolltop. 30" high from floor to writing surface. 16.5" wide chair space Lower left side has 3 drawers. Lower right side has 2 drawers-1 is the depth of 2 drawers. Drawer above chair space. Original brass feet. 2 pull-out writing surfaces. Dove-tailed drawer construction. Upper rolltop portion has several cubbies and small drawers. The front of one upper drawer broke and was glued and replaced(upside down) onto the drawer. Comes apart into two pieces for transport.
