Description: This is a vintage elementary School desk that is in good condition. It is metal where it is painted red and has wood on the table part and seat bottom and back. Also has a opening on the one side that allows you to place your books and papers in. Measures Base 14 1/4 deep by 13 inches wide by 24 1/2 inches tall. The top of seat to the floor measures 12 3/4 inches. Age is estimated in 1950's. Condition is good. Brings back a few memories for me that is for sure! But in wonderful condition based on age. Tops lift up good. Overall sturdy condition. Measures 30" tall. Local pickup only from Martinsville. Indiana.

ANTIQUE Early 1900's Wood & Metal Childs SCHOOL DESK- Photography Prop ~RARE~
For auction is a sweet little antique student school desk with a pull out drawer underneath. I was told it is probably from the early 1900's. But I'm not quite sure. It is very heavy and constructed of both wood and metal, which I believe is painted cast iron because of its weight. The metal has surface rust throughout and the top wooden part of the desk does have some movement. It appears the connecting bar underneath has snapped and will need to be soldered. But overall, this little school desk looks nice, even the way it is. The wood is still in great shape. Hard to come by one like this. Would make a nice photography prop for youngsters. It measures@24.5" high to the top of the seat(the back of chair) and the seat itself sits at@11.5" The wood tray measures@ 20" x 14" at the widest points.
