Vintage old antique school desk with chair metal frame wooden desk
Beautiful old desk with chair. In good vintage condition; the desk has some marks and the name Lynne in old style writing on it. The metal shows some rust. The wood connection at the back of the desk has slightly come undone as the wood seems to have moved a bit with age. However this does not affect the usability of the item and it is otherwise in good sturdy conditon. The lit of the desk can be moved to access the storage space underneath. RARE 1800's Spinet Desk with Crocodile Vinyl Top. Also known as a Piano Desk. This spinet desk is from around the late 1800's, I think. I am not sure if it's cherry or mahogany. Newly refinished and topped with a crocodile vinyl and nickel plated studs. Tapered legs have nice detail. Legs remove, for economical shipping, or easy pick up. All wood ornamentation is in tact and beautiful. Does have a few gouges here and there, that have been darkened, which makes them much harder to see, looks more like a distressed look, but with minor distress. There is also a larger gouge in in the very edged at the front top, see pictures. Work surface has 2 recessed finger pulls. Work surface pulls out to 15" deep(front to back) and 24 1/4" wide. And is 27 1/4" off floor. Bi fold top gives you access to the interior and work surface. ... moreInterior has 6 cubbies. Exterior has 2 drawers. That is one on each side and 1 wide drawer across front. All drawers and lid operate smoothly. The entire desk measures: 38" wide. 18 1/2" deep(front to back) and is 32 1/2" tall when closed. Drawer measurements: 2 drawers. 1 at each side measure 16 1/4" front to back, 4" wide and 4 1/2" deep. 1 wide drawer across bottom front measures: 28 3/4" wide. 15 1/4" front to back and 1 1/2" deep. Has wood ornamentation on front, so it makes it look like a secret drawer. CHAIR: The chair seems to have the same legs. So I think it is a match. Chair measures 28 1/2" tall at back. Here is a beautiful child's desk& chair set. Somewhere between 1900& 1940. This is a small version of the larger ones made then. Picture#8 shows some letters& words that I cannot seem to make out. Of what was probably the manufactor. It has the original stain, which has not even been attempted to re-finish. Some think that would ruin this set. Children have definitely used it, for the wear you see, but it is solid and sturdy, and has lots of wear left in it. There are three drawers on the right side, and the top one locks. you may be able to find a key for this, or ask a locksmith to make one. Above the top drawer that locks is a little slide-out board for writing on. There is a large center long drawer too. The chair swivels, and has cast iron framing, with an adjusting center screwing device which allows for the chair height ... moreto be as low to the floor as 14 inches, up to 16 inches, easily. At it's taller setting, the chair is 29 inches tall, from top of back to floor. The seat is 12 5/8" wide and 12 3/4" deep. This is extremely well made, and sure belongs in someone's home with a child who will enjoy and use it. The desk measure 29 inches tall, and is 33 1/2 inches wide and 18 inches deep.

A hand made work bench/ desk refinished by our staff, and a grey Faries desk lamp. This set of furniture would be perfect for furnishing a foyer, hall, or small office. The items all have great patina from age and look great together. The all wood Sit-Rite chair has great charm and warmth. The bottom of the seat is stamped"SIT-RITE EDWARD L. KOENIG MFG. CHICAGO. Antique Vintage All Wood School Desk Chair Top Child Industrial Machine Age
This is an all wood antique child's chair top. It is in good condition. A few of the curved backing pieces need a little glue and a vice overnight to tighten them up to the top backrest. The piece is solid other than that. This is very old. Strong wood which has some gorgeous curvature to it. The bottom of the chair which is sat on is about 14.5" deep. The back of the chair is about 15 10/16" tall.

This solid oak Child's Roll Top Desk is a well made"time capsule" from the past in amazing vintage condition. Ready to serve new generations. It was made by the Paris Manufacturing Company of South Paris, Maine, probably around 1910 or later. It has a flexible roll top, flat writing surface, storage compartments with a little drawer, plus two larger drawers on the right. Other than some marker marks and pencil and crayon on the oak writing surface and the same on the inside bottom of the drawers. This has remained solid and beautifully crafted ready to hand down to a new fortunate child. At one time, this had a key for the drawers and the roll top. This is a neat mission style desk and chair. The desk needs some cleaning but in good condition. Desk Has a small set of initials carved into left hand corner. This is a part of a 93 year old man's estate. He had this in the family since at least the 60's. He couldn't remember when his deceased wife had purchased it.
